Great video! We have stayed in a resort that had a pickleball court and the sound made us crazy. I think your clients probably are looking for a restful and relaxing experience. Loreto has a pretty exciting nightlife, festivals, attractions, and watersports of all types, and after all that you need some peace at the end of the day :) Your resort is truly beautiful and the perfect R & R experience!

Doug, go see a chiropractor. They are the best for any and all back injuries that don't require surgery.
I've been PT that was recommended by a chiropractor. It definitely helps but my problem is that I continually keep pushing it too far and then it gets strained again.
😯 When you were talking about the unsanitary short cuts that hotels make with the rooms. Dis-GUST-ing!! Decades ago, I was a young girl on a Mexican vacation with my family. We stayed at a very fancy hotel that had big glass elevators. After eating breakfast, we took the glass elevator up to our room. As we ascended, we looked out at the dining area and we saw our table being cleared and set up for the next guests. We witnessed the staff wiping off our breakfast utensils with a dish towel and then setting them back onto the table ready for the next unsuspecting guests to use. That’s when we realized, they do NOT wash the utensils! 🤢
I think they are a little better in food service now. Anytime they have tourists getting sick. It becomes a big deal very quickly. They actually have All the same food safety regulations that they have in the US here and they supposedly have inspectors that inspect restaurants regularly. I do notice that almost every restaurant that's not just one setup in someone's front yard has all stainless steel kitchens that are similar to the ones you see in the US. I don't think they would do that unless they had to. Luckily we have never gotten sick from food in Loreto

Just my opinion Loreto is known for its fishing . I would cater to those guys. I’ve personally been going there for about 10 years but I know people that have been going there for over 40 years !! Cater to the fishermen they are always there !
We definitely try to cater to the fisherman. We have a fish refrigerator freezer just for them to use for their catch. In fact, we have a group of fishermen staying here right now! But they are a small part of the ten thousand plus visitors we get every year. Most of our guests have been newly retired couples.
People should understand as well that if towels sheets etc are ruined more often, the costs are passed on to the guests. ;)

I guess I happened on this the day it was posted. In any case, it IS very windy today -- with whitecaps as far as the eye can see. We loved staying in Villa 1 back in November as we waited (and waited) for early occupancy at our casa in Loreto Bay. Even though we now have a place of our own, we would highly recommend Pufferfish Villas to others. (However, like another commenter, I would be AGAINST pickleball -- I can hear those unbelievably annoying noises blocks away whenever near a court.)

Stains yes, but I've never lost a towel in over ten years of hosting. My guests use the sofa or floor for their luggage, as those little hotel luggage racks don't hold much.
Never losing a towel in 10 years to stains is pretty impressive! Even huge hotel chains with commercial washers and commercial detergent and stain removers lost an industry standard 20% of their towels and linens to stains. What's your secret?

We already have one shirt with that on it in our store. There's a link in the description of the video to our teespring store where we sell t-shirts. We basically sell them at cost and don't make any money so I haven't even looked in a long time to see if anyone is buying them
Sure looks and sounds like a lot of work But if it keeps you off the streets maybe it's worth the sweat and back pain. I agree with more research on PB court. Mostly the sounds. People sounds, Paddle sounds etc. Mini golf is quieter. Just say n . I must say though , you 2 have done an amazing job on the place. 👍👍 P n D

Good luck man- u guys gonna need it. You're really trying hard, but u just spinning your wheels and outta your league business planning wise. . A pickle ball court will NOT be the deciding factor in even one family's decision whether to come all the way down to your place or not. Wishing u guys the best cause u seem nice.
Air DNA data of the Airbnb rental business says otherwise. Addition of a pickleball court increases revenue between 60% and 140% a year. I'm not sure how old you are, but in the over 55 generation pickleball is very popular. With that said, we are not 100% sure that this is what we are doing.
I remember that Villa! My wife and I really appreciated the sheets and the towels. We feel quality bedding is one thing people in the hospitality industry should put more focus on. E both slept very well between those sheets. I loved the idea of the pickleball court….until I read some comments that changed my opinion. You have a very special place there and the sound of people playing pickleball may diminish some of the quaintness. Just a thought. Shuffleboard and games like that would be a great idea. Can you get you get old school Lawn Darts in Mexico? Just kidding (sort of)

Hi Douglas just wondering what is the price per foot of construction in Laredo with your contractor?
It depends what level of construction you want. You can build Mexican style for probably around $65 a square foot. Our villas were built at around $100 a square foot. There are luxury houses here that probably cost $1,000 a square foot or more
It's really hard to abate the pickleball noise. It seems to carry through the air and echo off everything

You ever consider planting or having a scent to deter cats? They don’t like citrus, lemon, citronella, and eucalyptus.
We actually tried making a citrus spray and spraying the area. It smelled really nice but the cats were not detoured. We actually have two huge citronella bushes up by our garage and that is where the mosquitos hang out during the day. We planted them specifically to keep mosquitoes away and there are probably a hundred mosquitos in those bushes. So we can confirm that citronella has no effect on mosquitos and I've seen cats walking through the citronella too.

Holy Catz! This is coming from the biggest fan of pickleball subscriber you have. DON'T DO IT! Outside of fully enclosing the court there's no way you can abate the noise of pickleball that close to the villas. Badminton, volleyball, giant hot tub, anything but pickleball. Google how often courts are getting closed in neighborhoods that are twice the distance and tried multiple sound abatements. You really need 4 people of similar skill for fun PB too and that will be harder to come by with 2 person units. I'm all for more PB courts in Loreto though! (Maybe that back lot that's for sale...)
