Spider-Man 4 update Peter Parker will get a new love interest in the MCU that is not Zendaya's MJ! According to reports, Sydney Sweeney has been cast as Black Cat in the MCU for Spider-Man 4 and Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat will be the new love interest for Tom Holland's Spider-Man in Spider-Man 4 from Marvel Studios and Sony. Marvel and Sony have reportedly agreed on what they want for Spider-Man 4 and Black Cat will tie directly into Kingpin being the mayor of NYC in Spider-Man 4.

I called this months ago. I knew she would be a perfect casting for Black Cat.
The Black Cat I remember from the 80's was in love with Spiderman...but not so much with Peter Parker.
As true as that may be, let's not forget.... Peter Parker never existed in human history now. so, Spider-Man is literally all that remains of his identity. Yeah, he could still use his civilian alias now and then. However, it would be nothing more than a disguise now. So, basically, he'd effectively become the quip-tastic Batman loads of people already consider him to be.

I think that's a choice. Black cat should have been in a spider-man movie already. But I think with Peter in college where he meets Felicia hardy I think that'll be perfect. I think ethier Sydney Sweeney, Natalia Dyer, or Samara Weaving would be great for the role of Black Cat. I think in this new trilogy, they're built to spider-man, miles morales & Black Cat vs the sinister six. Black Cat can try to be convinced by Fisk to join the sinister six but ultimately decides to fight against Fisk and the sinister six. Favorite Hero: Batman
I thought of something similar too. Where Peter hands off the mantle to Miles after this trilogy and settles down with MJ. Then they introduce Gwen Stacy in a Miles Solo movie or something.
I like everything about that except the Miles thing. I still say there are WAY too many stories they can still do we haven't seen with Peter. They can put him with Andrew's Spidey, or wait to introduce him in the next trilogy after this one. Just my opinion
@@ronniespain18 Tom Holland said that he doesn't want to play Spider-Man for too long. He is now 27, the same age Tobey was when he started his trilogy and Andrew was also 27 in his first movie. So, we can assume that a movie every 2-3 years with his new trilogy starting in 2026 would make Tom Holland somewhere b/w 33-35. TO compare, he started playing Spider-Man when he was 18 in Civil War and till 35 y/o that'd be 17 years of playing Spider-Man and he'd be older than Tobey and Andrew by the time they finished their last movies. Tom Holland also expressed that he'd love for his mantle to pass onto a new generation. I agree there are countless more Peter Parker stories to tell, but the man himself wants a change. So I think it's not too late to introduce Miles morales.
Maybe introduce miles as a little kid. And after this trilogy he takes the mantle. Personally I don’t care for miles at all though.

It's not a done-deal. But Sydney Sweeney has a lot of clout in choosing her roles at the moment... she wanted into the MCU (and thought she was doing that with Madam Web) so I bet they would welcome her in this role... it doesn't hurt that she's about perfect for the part and her Spider Woman costume from Web is at least a little similar to Black Cat's...

This is very cool and I love black cat too! This sounds like something I’d definitely watch! I can’t help but think that there is still some baggage with the current situation especially with the way they built up MJ so much and the fact that they waited so long to actually test spider-man with a different situation but at the same time I definitely want to see them try something different and hopefully get more people interested in other possibilities besides saying that it’s Peter and MJ till the end of time! So hopefully this will be successful and it might even be a good turning point for Spider-man’s development in the future as a movie character. Also yes Sydney sweeney would be fantastic in the role and there’s a lot of great potential with the Kingpin storyline. Very excited for this event! Thanks so much for sharing this with us! Definitely looking forward to seeing Black Cat in a new Spider-man movie in the future!

Dude, Marvel has the opportunity to do something really incredible with Spider-Man 4 (if Sony will shut up and stay out of the way). A ground level movie with Spider-Man, Daredevil and (maybe) The Punisher taking on Wilson Fisk (as either a side or main villain) would be peak level content. Throw Sydney Sweeney as Black Cat in there too and you’ve got an S-tier Spider-Man movie.

I bought the original appearances of the Black Cat when I was in high school. I'm not aware of much that happened after I stopped buying comics near the end of college (I was afraid I was an addict and they were getting expensive), but she was always an interesting character.
