      @marionnette6231@marionnette62314 жыл бұрын
    • HikingViking It’s purely because of two types of training: hypertrophy and strength. Hypertrophy training relies on large amounts of volume, which increases the size of the muscles. Strength training relies on the intensity of the workout, which increases the density and quality of the muscle. You only get stronger because you only do strength training, which is what you should be focused on. Don’t waste your time with volume training. It’s good, but not as fulfilling or as augmenting as strength. Diet matters, but only in terms of macros: carbs for glycogen, fats for prolonged energy, protein for muscle repair and maintenance. Edit: look at comments below. They clarify it better.

    • Tenyks I mean, there’s also technique that you should account for, with the perfect technique you can lift maybe another 50 lbs

      @itchystick3907@itchystick39073 жыл бұрын
    • @@itchystick3907 Yeah. I think that people who lift with bad form aren't lifting to their full potential as they are taking the pressure off of the proper muscle group. Like the back squat. The body naturally puts the pressure on the back because it's easier. But when you sit back into a squat and perform the lift correctly, pushing through your heels, you no longer cheat yourself out of proper glute and quad activation. The main thing with that though is that one leg might be doing more than the other which is why accessory lifts are so important. So i guess proper technique doesn't necessarily give immediate results, it does deliver in the future. Definitely noticed that myself. But surprisingly, genetics DOES play a role. But it's not endgame for those with different genetics.

    • Yeah this is roughly 675 lbs. 7 plates each side means 90x7 which is 630 plus 45lbs for bar itself. And in some clips he's got more smaller plates. Mega strong if he can double overhand deadlift that much weight even if he does have assist straps on.
