    • And the winner of the 2024 World Series is.. Peterson's whole ideology is predicated on hierarchies of competence. First and foremost, one should establish a domain of value that they can provide for others, and then you can play within, or around the structure. Tldr - play second, work first.

    • Yes. These nuggets are true, factual, reality. So much harm in not having sincere awareness of the simple truths of reality. Thise realities make life so much richer, makes us stronger, more confident if we are already in that boat of being asked to play again, if the playmates are worthy of our time and integrity.

In addition to making you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. • There was a writer named Harry Golden who sometimes reminisced in the fifties about his youth on the lower east side of New York around 1900 - 1920. One of his stories was about the clothing stores and all the tricks they had for taking advantage of their customers. Then he went on to say, these tricky guys, for all their cleverness, never amounted to much. They would be in business a year or two then disappear, no one knew where they went and no one cared. The real successful merchants offered their customers good value for their money and a money back guarantee. Those were the stores that went on for 10, 20, 30, or 40 years getting bigger and stronger all the time. These were the great department stores and clothing stores that became household names in their cities. So if you want a real long lasting success you have to treat your customers right and build up a business over time.

  • It was a very bad decision to remove the Glass-Steagall Act in the late 1990s, which led to the spectacular failure of huge banks during the financial crisis of 2007-2008. To prevent another disaster, Dodd-Frank and this statute both need to be reestablished right away. What happened with SVB is only the beginning of what will happen if nothing is done to address the current situation.

I've been speaking with an advisor for a while now, primarily because I don't have the necessary expertise or stamina to handle these recurrent market conditions. The fact that I made over $220K during this downturn proved that there is more to the market than the typical person is aware of.
