  • If your dad had put over 13 years of blood sweat and tears into building Naz from a troublesome 7 year old , into a top boxer , and when he made is first few million didn’t want to pay Brendan the contractual amount of wages he was owed , became a bully in the gym , bossing other kids around , thinking he owned the gym , and everyone in it , “ this is all well documented in Brendan’s book , even Johnny Nelson confirmed everything Brendan said , and Rian Rhodes too confirmed what Brendan said was true facts , as Brendan’s son how would you feel , if I was Dom I would have taken him out , no questions asked, so you can understand Dom feeling bitter , cos Naz turned Judas on Brendan , not the other way around, let’s put facts into perspective here , and say it how it really was , Naz made is first few million , and thought he was better , and higher up than anyone else, started to act horrible until Brendan told him to move out the gym , he wasn’t wellcome anymore, simple “ do one razza your not wanted here with that horrible personality you have become , because of money , so pack ya kit , and do one , your no longer welcome here anymore, Brendan could of turned a blind eye , and turned into one of Naz’s yes men , and carried on making his money off Naz , as wages for coaching him, but he never , he put a stop to it , and got Naz out sharpish , then Naz tried to shout his mouth off , calling , Brendan Judas etc , but in reality Naz was 100 0/0 percent the Judas in all this , just listen to Brendan , Johnny Nelson , and Rian Rhodes , to name but a few , so yeah Dom as every right to tell THE TRUTH, and put everyone in the picture, it was his Father after all , so have a second thought, cos you are wrong mate , FACT .

  • Prince Naseem is considered one of the GOATS when he barely trained, was barely dedicated and didn't even watch fight footage of his opponents or train as hard as he was supposed to. It was an absurd amount of natural talent with a little bit of work that made Prince Naseem a legend. Even if other fighters worked twice as hard as him they didn't have the natural skill and they weren't a prodigy like he was. The problem is once he got to the pinnacle he was missing his family training even less and then fighting a gritty seasoned veteran boxer who was training his ass off to kill Naseem while Naseem was enjoying the celebrity lifestyle. That's why he lost. As good as he was you could tell he loved what came with boxing more than boxing itself.

    @ExplodingBumfluff@ExplodingBumfluff5 жыл бұрын
    • I saw an interview with him where he talked about the build-up to the Barrera fight - he said he'd broken his hands multiple times by this point and could barely get through a training camp without breaking them again, he fell out of love with the sport and had one eye on retirement - then he went into that camp out of shape and spent most of it cutting weight... it's not as simple as saying he was 'enjoying the celebrity lifestyle'...

      @luisortizszimmerframe6933@luisortizszimmerframe69335 жыл бұрын
    • ExplodingBumfluff Nas was excellent and I used to be a fan, however he always had technical deficiencies which top fighters could expose. The Barerra that beat him in '01 would beat any version of Nas. I know he wasn't at his best, but Nas never beat any elite p4p top fighters, Barerra was the first truly elite guy he fought, after beating lots of good fighters, and he couldn't get away with the mistakes he always made. Barerra outboxed him with great counter punching and footwork, keeping Nas off balance.

    • @@luisortizszimmerframe6933 Like I already commented, I was a Nas fan, but he's come out with two excuses for that fight, I've seen him change his story in different interviews. In one he blamed it on extreme weight loss, then in another on his broken hands. The fact is that although Nas was excellent, he was beatable by top p4p guys. He always said he would be a legend and one of the GOATS, but to do that you have to beat elite p4p fighters. He beat loads of very good fighters, but the first time he faced an elite guy in a 'superfight', he lost. Morales would have beaten him too, and then Pac came along at featherweight. I know Nas wasn't at his best against Barerra, but Barerra that night would beat any version of Nas.

      @lucasm3879@lucasm38795 жыл бұрын
    • This is all false. Naz trained his ass off every fight. Naz also lost to Barrera cuz he trained too hard, didn’t get enough rest and had a hard time making weight. He stayed up trying to lose weight til 5 am the morning of the fight. He talks about all of this in an interview.

    • Awesome??? You talk Shite!! He fought has been and mediocre fighters who were punchbags!! The first real world class fighter in Barrera he fought destroyed him for 12 rounds!! The myth had ended fat boy knew that too!!! ✌✌

    • @@prideofpendle8323 By the time he fought Barrera, in fact even by the time he made his US debut and fought Kelley, Hamed was a shadow of his former self and hardly even trained for the fight as seen in the documentary "Little Prince, Big Fight" - you can hear him brag about how he's in the lap of luxury training whenever he feels like it while Barrera is up in the mountains grafting away. Even Nas' sparring partners for that camp did much better against him than they should have (again as seen in that documentary).

      @Gorguruga@Gorguruga5 жыл бұрын
    • @@prideofpendle8323 Lol.. You don't need to conflate the terms. He was awesome at his peak, but a shadow of his former self by the time Barrera came around. I'm surprised he lasted all 12 rounds vs such an excellent fighter as Barrera, after doing hardly any proper training in the camp. Even in his US debut against Kelley, the slick footwork he once had was already half-gone. Emanuel Steward left Naz because he refused to train properly, surely you know all this, it's common knowledge.

  • As a guy who followed Naz's career including sheeling out big money to watch him about 5 or 6 times I feel that Ingle is spot on. After Naz left Ingle he was quite disrespectful "Better than the other trainer" he said of his new trainer after a fight... IMO he could/should have been thee best fighter ever to come from these shores and a peak Naz would have beaten Barrera and Morales etc. He should have been mixing with JMM and Pac and maybe even Floyd. After the Barrera fight Emanuel Steward said Naz didn't want to spar or do anything and it seems like he took his biggest fight as anything but seriously. I remember that pre fight it was the first time I ever heard Naz saying "If I lose..." and he went on to say "I'll come back hungrier than ever". Unfortunately it seems he meant it literally. He also said he'd avenge the MAB fight in the months/years afterwards but maybe that was to keep his name in the limelight. Many people think that MAB was the last fight/the end but he had a comeback fight vs Calvo. He won that easily but was booed by his own fans and I think his ego could not handle that.

He came to wincobank after fleeing problems in ireland, he was so overwhelmed by the way Wincobank community took him in he always felt like he owed them something. When he setup the st thomas gym, he took every problem kid in area and helped them improve, his own word was "it was like the wild west when i came, kids fighting everywhere" he did so much for the area, his professional boxers was made to give back to community by going out litter picking. Brendan was class. Naz was a tallent, but Brendan made him, he found naz as a kid at school, fighting in yard, brendan took him in and made him a world champion.
