I could listen to this guy all day long
As a Wincobank lad thru n thru, only the people who lived alongside this legend will know! I'd give 25% of my working salary to this man who tought us all so much life respect. When we finally got a little road named after him opposite his own house it brought tears to the true Wincobank that knew!! God bless ya Fatha and hope ur still enjoying them early morning Meadowhall coffees up there 😘
"The only crimes you can't be punished for is jealousy and envy." Wow!
And that's all she wrote.. God bless Brendan Ingle 🙏🏼🍀💯
Brilliant trainer and a great man,RIP Brendan 🥊🇮🇪
Met him once a character, naz was a fool to leave him.
Top Top Man! One In A Million
What I would of given to of had a teacher like Brendan when I was a kid.
Grew up a stones throw from Brendans gym, did karate in there before turning to boxing. He was a true gentleman and loved his adopted home of Wincobank. He built a 5 aside football pitch at side of the gym with flood lights, he didn't charge a penny from us when we played on it daily. He use to catch us hanging about and offer us £5 to cut the local churches grass, he had his boxers litter picking in area and going to old people's home up from gym to ask if they needed owt from shop. Honestly 25% wasn't enough for what he gave back to the community and his fighters.
True gentleman with wisdom
He spent his whole life basically doing this for free, he only earned money because the lads he taught for free made it and they made it basically because of him, deserved every penny
How has there never been a film made about Brendan and Nas? It could be amazing. It's a universally amazing story.
They filming one currently
This gentleman is naturally gifted and knowledgeable, though 25% sounds a lot
Standard at the time.
Nick Pullen thanks for letting me know👍🏿👍🏿
Syl. A 15 % manger 10 as trainer
James 84 nice one for informing that now makes more sense and sounds right now 👍👍
James 84 you can’t question this gentleman’s integrity’
25% is the deal so there it is. What’s the problem? Without this mans knowledge and dedication there isn’t the opportunity to reach the top. Put it bluntly 100% of fuck all Is fuck all and without this man they wouldn’t be where they are. At the end of the day it’s only money simple as that but you can’t buy knowledge and experience.
This man is amazing RIP sir you were a great teacher who speaks real .❤👍
Marvelous Marvin Hagler payed 25 per cent to his Trainer or Manager and that is a fair deal and he is right because without him they are nothing
Had a great career too
Never a truer word said. Money goes to people's heads.
Really interesting - all the ingle fighters have that style to different extents, I.e. naz applied it very differently to the likes of witter, nelson and brook. Brendan done a great job with implementing it.
They don't make em like Brendan anymore
people see 25% of money deal if they r good enough to hit pro level. but they don't get any idea even mistakely how he investet 25% of his life span to rise, nurture and walk those boys through a posible harsh lifetime as kid to end of line and teach them how to live a life that is a dream for billions! man you can seem or heard rational in a debate, but you can't deny this man!
25 percent is standard..and the people complaining or having their own opinions about wether thats too much havent listened to this man explain why.
do u think Roach gets even 2.5% of pacs biggest purses of $200mill
does brendan have a book out?
Bredan Igle (1940-2018)
@nigga ricans have some respect
The Paddy and the prince, a great read.
25% is steep enough but I take his point about all the ground work he puts into the fighter but for that I'd want him doing my shopping, cooking, washing, which maybe he did as well.
not alot if he was working for free for 15 years. Then multiply that with all the failures who didn't have to pay, but was sparring partners for the future pro. If the young boy/parent didn't like it, they shouldn't had agreed. They could had left anytime prior. So basically, they were playing the trainer prior and scamming the trainer after they turned pro.
Training, managing & promoting…all in house
25 percent was extortion! Great trainer but that is simply not fair.
I met this nice fella years ago when he brought Esham Pickering to my hometown Hartlepool to fight Michael Hunter ( Hunter won). What a really down to earth bloke he was. So sad when he passed away
Money is not everything naz lost a good friend and father figure for what money root of all evil as Brendan said if I get £100 they are happy as moving up the ladder money gets better then the devil kicks in thru self or others but friendship is over. Life listen personally don't do business with friends and family because it is like boiling water bless Brandon he did put naz where he was at that great moment in his life great payback champ
Good man and great trainer but I think 15 percent would of been adequate for Brendan.
Training, managing & promoting don’t forget
25% for managing and training is not too much.
25% that’s a lot. Do all trainers charge that
he was his manager too. that's about standard for a manager. Ingle was like a mentor, S and C coach, nutritionist, manager, and trainer in one..
he knew his worth. It's not a coincidence when several champions come out of one gym.
@@emilegriffith1473 that's a good point. trainer and manager. however, it would be difficult for any person to go from being a kid of say 10, training until 22 /23 and then making big money to not feel they want to change or maybe pay less to someone. especially if the fight purse is worth say £100k.
@@scottjp31 I agree - I can see and agree with both Naz's POV and Ingle's.
do they fuck! lol. esp not at world title level imagine roach was on dat lol or even 10!
I think 25% is too much. The boxers are the ones risking their lives in the ring. That's like my college teacher wanting a percentage of my part time job wages
Your college teacher receives a salary though. Brendan was working for free. Maybe 1 out of every 100 boxers that entered the gym paid him anything.
not alot if he was working for free for 15 years. Then multiply that with all the failures who didn't have to pay, but was sparring partners for the future pro. If the young boy/parent didn't like it, they shouldn't had agreed. They could had left anytime prior. So basically, they were playing the trainer prior and scamming the trainer after they turned pro.
Two great points give you both 50%
Rest in peace the goat He’s in heaven and Nas is on the nhs waiting list for two new knees and a new heart Fat porky b What Ashame To make enemies both of them of each other No doubt though Naz instigated most of it Because he was greedy
