  • I ordered one of the used Leap chairs from your website and it arrived today! For a 6-7 year old chair, I am super impressed with how it’s held up! There is some light wear with some looseness in the fabric, but it seems cosmetic only so far. The chair is really well built and does not feel cheap like my other $200-300 chairs. I haven’t had a chance yet to sit for any length of time, but feels good so far! I didn’t know about BTOD until these videos started appearing in my feed. I watch a lot of their videos and they seemed to know what they were talking about, especially compared to other reviews and some of those ranked lists. I’m impressed by this chair and I’m looking forward to working from home! Edit: to clarify, I ordered one of the used chairs that was in very good condition and not refurbished. This chair definitely appears to not have needed to be refurbished. Appears in very good condition from unpacking and sitting in it briefly today.

  • Just got the Leap V2 from you guys. I like it alot. I keep messing with the adjustments, and I know it takes a big to get used to. I am not used to 2 different adjustments, 1 for recline tension and another for lumbar force or firmness. It felt grteat on my back, I tried taking the lumbar in and out a few times, and I keep putting it back in. I am in medicine, working remote now, and when I increase the tension all the way on the recline, it feels good and then I am like what do I do with the lumbar, and I am just getting used to it. But it is def a great chair. Researching adjustments and all but I think I just have to get used to it? I like the full support when you recline, even though it doesn't have the rocking I think for work hours it will improve my posture but I have the Colomy Atlas I was going to return, but I might keep that since it has a decent rock. But The leap from you guys is great, just getting used to it and hope the back tension and lumbar force/firmness I can find a good amount

  • Lately, I've been doing a lot of research on office chairs because I'm looking to get a good one that is better for my back. Part of the research has been watching a lot of videos from this channel. However, I'm struggling to know what to get because there are a lot of options and good chairs tend to be several hundred to 1,500 dollars and that's a lot of money to spend on a chair that I may not end up liking after sitting in it for a while. I don't want to spend that much unless I can be sure I'll like the chair, but without some kind of trial, I'm not sure how I can do that. Maybe any expensive chair will be better than my $90 Costco office chair, so it will probably be an improvement no matter what, but I want to make sure I make a good choice for me. I'm only 5'5" and weigh somewhere below 150 lbs. I believe Herman Miller has a two week trial period for their chairs, but if I can find something a bit cheaper, I'd like that.

    • I bought that chair second hand as well for the same reasons, and use it for a month now (resold my leap V1 high back that I used for a long time soon after) And I have been using the leap V2 at the office. I am now so sorry I sold my leap too soon, I absolutely hate everything about the Amia after a month of 8 to 12 hours a day on it. It really seemed softer in the beginning, but apparently just isn't my seat type, cause beside the numbness (and I am really used to thin seat pads) after some time, I'm starting to get back pains again. The back isn't really adjustable and in that way no where near as good, flexible, adjustable, comfortable or supporting as the V1 high back or V2 in my opinion. To me it just has a really pokey lumbar device that sags after some hours of use. I am not the standard user probably since I also prefer just about anything on the leap V1 over the V2, but I'm really in doubt what my next chair must be now (leap V1 are scarce here in NL and they have all had a whole life already) but the Amia will have to go for sure

  • We have several Leap and Embody at work where I spend 8 hrs sitting daily with a few breaks here and there . I ended up buying the Embody gaming for myself at home since there is no comparison. I can only sit for 1hr on the leap before it starts to bottom out. In the Embody at home I sit for several hrs with no discomfort whatsoever. I also own a Mirra 2 which I hate. Before buying the Embody I did a 30 day trail of the Haworth Fern which is 90% as good as the Embody, but the seat is the only downside because it gets hot and after 1hr+ it starts to feel hard.

    • That's exactly how I felt when I had a Leap V2. After about 30-45 minutes, my butt was falling asleep. And no amount of adjustments helped. I wasn't a fan of the back either. Even though I'm 6'2, I didn't feel like my upper back was supported at all. I'm down to the Embody and Gesture now. I'm leaning more towards the Embody since 95% of my time spent in the chair is gaming on my PC. Since I'm a controller user, I recline more than I sit upright, and that's really where the Embody excels. The only thing that's really holding me back is the armrests. The Leap's were phenomenal, and the Gesture's are even better than that!

  • I'm sure very few will believe me, especially on a channel of this nature.... But lower back pain (and chronic pain in general) is psychosomatic 95% of the time. I won't go off and write a giant essay here, but reading some books by "John E. Sarno" might help you INFINITELY more than an expensive chair. The people who have no understanding of this will feel attacked and think I'm a complete nutjob for suggesting it, but the people that have gone through intense bouts of chronic pain and recovered from it will know what I am talking about and they will never ever unsee it for the rest of their life. I have spent a significant portion of my life studying these topics in extreme depth. I don't think sitting all day is good for you either way, but the root cause of chronic pain is not what people think it is. Lower back pain is the #1 chronic pain btw.

I ended up going on Amazon and buying a brand new Leap V2 Plus (Amazon even offered no interest financing over 6 months so I used that even though I hadn’t initially planned to do that). I got the cylinder fixed with an OEM replacement cylinder and it is a spare office chair now because once I sat in the leap V2 Plus it was so much more comfortable. The seat didn’t feel bottomed out, it more than supported me when I sat in it, which I then realized I wasn’t supported nearly as well in the Leap V2 as I had thought. I have plenty of space on my sides and can move positions more comfortably. It was the best purchase I made during Covid.

  • A commentator rightfully pointed that you guys only say this because you sell these chairs in abundance. A case in point will be the relatively poor ratings you give to the Herman Miller Aeron chairs. Leap, Gesture and Aeron are the flagship chairs when one thinks of office chairs. And they're all roughly at par. A Gesture chair isn't going to radically different in comfort than Leap. Aeron is one of a kind with its mesh design which feels like one is suspended in air. Anyway, coming to the point. In your 2024 Tier Listing, which covers about 60 chairs, you gave the Aeron Classic is D tier. Because one dude gave it a C, and the other gave it an F. And what was the reasoning? "Aeron Classic is sooo old, it's 30 years old chair guyssss", "Oh don't buy the Classic it's a ticking timebomb", "Oh that chair sucks because you don't get the Herman Miller warranty". I mean come on dude, get real. You sell and shill Leap and Amia because they're abundant. Gesture, Aerons are not.

    • Speaking from my experience: the Aeron is a great chair ONLY IF it fits you. I believe that there are a lot of people (like me) that don’t fit perfectly on any aeron size, which is a big problem if you are going to sell chairs online. In my case the backrest of the B is too small but the seat on the C is too big and it hurts my legs. So in summary, I completely get why they stoped selling the aeron and don’t put the chair on S-Tier. I’ll be returning mine and see if the Leap works for me. Let’s see if it’s really an S-Tier chair :)
