  • I’m Usher user for 10 yrs, never encountered any issues! Last yr I bought my 4th spk ML802, compare to other I have in the same price, it's an absolute bargain. As a woodworker, those who insist on using wooden mallets are simply not practical. After seeing other high priced spks processes, I must say their crafts is already quite impressive. While there are certainly some details to improve upon, in terms of the finished product and especially sound quality, it's definitely worth it!

  • Out of my 25 years in the glass business, I have only seen one home that had high end speakers. Now had I said 35 years in the glass business I am sure I would tell you I seen more. But what I see is almost everyone uses bluetooth speakers now. And wow very beautiful and well crafted handmade speaker, I think the only thing I could criticize is the screwing of the circuit board to the enclosure without stand offs

    @ZipSnipe@ZipSnipe21 күн бұрын
    • Actually there was a standoff... it looked like foam to absorb vibration and to isolate the board.

    • @@jimtincher7357 Notice how the board locally flexed once screwed down 12:51 . Inducing unnecessary flex in the brittle board doesn't seem like good practise, stand offs would be better. 10:37 those 2 inductors (coils) should be mounted perpendicular to each other. In their current orientation the magnetic field from one is close enough to induce a current in the other.

    • nothing wrong here. The tool they are using to screw it in has a calibrated ratchet mechanism so that the screws cannot be over tightened. The boards are extremely flexible and durable as all modern circuit boards are. Go ahead and try to snap one in half with just your hands... It will easily bend 10 times what you see here with no damage.

  • I own a pair of Usher Mini-Two's that I bought in 2012, the construction is immaculate even for this entry-level model. It still uses pretty much the same curved birch-ply construction and internal bracing done with MDF, except mine is satin finished instead of the polished look of the higher end models. I still listen to them up to this day, the price/performance of these speakers are so good, I think I need to spend at least $6,000 to get something that's noticeably better!

      @tiloalo@tiloalo22 күн бұрын
    • Yes, but my point with a heavy driver and a huge magnet structure has a lot of weight centralized initially.so the pull force will be enhanced in that location before the whole driver is installed.also the driver with that much weight should be supported while all the fasteners are attached.Then and only then should they be torqued in a diagonally opposed fashion

  • I enjoyed this video. The only thing I wonder about is one thing. When you hammer down the bottom and top cabinet pieces into the cast frame? You didn’t press the veneer against the perfectly cut plates. There appears to be gaps that the epoxy or glue filled. I guess because you are looking for perfect linear appearance from top to the bottom. The veneer is cast.
