As someone who works with rehabilitating abandoned wildlife babies I appreciate kindness like this. Sure they can be pest when eating our gardens but everything and one needs kindness.
What a breath of fresh air this guy is instead of the usual response most people have to wildlife in their garden which is usually wanting rid of animals!
Uh yeah because i have no vegetables for my kids and i after months of hardwork. Its a small garden that made me happy and now im sad even seeing the unripened tomatoes are gone. The groundhog lives under my shed. gonna lure it out soon. im not evil in wanting my own garden left alone so i can feed my kids and i, not some dumb groundhog who doesnt care i exist and did none of the work.
“Hey look at me I’m eating your garden what’re you gonna do about it?” “MAKE ANOTHER FOR YOU”

Back in the 70's, after my Grandpa had gotten older, he couldn't stand shooting or killing anything. (He was country folk and had hunted when he was younger). Then you would have a groundhog infestation, they multiply quickly like other rodents, they also carry diseases and they do a lot of property damage. We had a a huge infestation, about 150-200 groundhogs, they decimated all our crops, destroyed our porch and siding of our house. It all started because of our neighbor who had them on their property and fed them well, unfortunately he got sick and moved in with his daughter out of state, we had a small family farm and now being hungry they migrated to us, We had no choice but to use poison to kill them, bastards are pretty cute but they have a huge appetite and with numbers they become unleased monsters.
