  • For those saying his eyes seem ominous or intriguing. I heard from a psychology professor that humans evolved to have a lot of white around their iris because of how important it is for us to know what other humans are looking at. Those whose eyes weren't as white were harder to trust as their intentions aren't as clear (knowing where the other person is looking is a huge part of knowing what their intentions are). Consequently, they had less chance of surviving within a group. We also evolved to be extremely good at this. You can tell where another human is looking from dozens of feet away. However, you can't really tell exactly where the chimps are looking in this video unless it is a closeup shot. You evolved not to be cautious of a gaze that isn't easily decipherable. I just thought this was interesting to share. I don't think I gave the best explanation though. XD

  • For anyone wanting to know what happened to David, he was challenged again during the dry season after he was almost killed but this time he didn't make it. RIP David :(

  • Caesarrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sometimes i wish i was freaking rich so i could buy a huge 4k tv, turn off the lights, jump on my super comfy sofa and watch a couple seasons worth of entertainment covering nature and animals, like planet earth or national geographic. man that would be awesome

  • I watched it on bbc iplayer and its the best wild life story i have ever seen, David is a true intelligent leader and warrior! And to imagine that story took 2 years for crew to capture for us to enjoy; the brilliance of camera work and their patience, i must take my hat off for you guys!
