Tensions between Israel and Iran have turned the spotlight on Tehran's nuclear capabilities. The West accuses Iran of using its civil nuclear program as a cover for developing weapons - which it denies. The head of the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog, Rafael Mariano Grossi, warns that Iran 'is not cooperating with us in the way they should' regarding its atomic program

No, Because with that argument? all Nations could/would have nuclear Weapons. That would greatly increase the chance/risk for a Nuclear War. That very easy could have dire consequence for all People on Earth (if we dont get WW3 and all would die). So there is a very Good reason to limit the Number of Nuclear Stats to as Few as Possible. Thats why USA has agreeded to Protect countrys like Nato,Japan,Australia,Taiwan,S Korea,Philippines and others with Nuclear Weapons if necessary, So They dont have to develup thire Own Nuclear Weapons.

If they want to be free from sanctions ? If they dont want war ? 2 good reasons i think. Nuclear capabilities are a strong deterrent, Yes But it can also Be a Sure way to get attacked before Iran gets them ready (or too many). US/Israel has said they would not Accept Iran getting the bomb, so they would attack (like Israel did in Iraq and Syria). China would also attack Taiwan if they got or where close to get Nuclear Weapons (iam sure), if they waited? it would just make it impossible to attack later (when they had a full arsenal).

@@mabuhayproductionltd3627 My question was rhetorical. They shouldn't "cooperate." Bully states don't mess with countries with nuclear capabilities. That's my point. Each country that has been invaded after 1945, did not have nuclear capabilities. International law is WEAK. Furthermore, there isn't an international body that protects states from bullies. Iran should continue to pursuit nuclear capabilities to keep the global bullies at bay.

At this point it seems to me that both Iran and Israel are some seriously bad countries, however only one is seen as such by the Western media. It's easy to be deluded into thinking that one people are inferior and need to be taken out. Look at Germany in the 30s and then at us + Israel nowadays. As with any diplomat's statement, it can be interpreted. "We have no intention to build nuclear weapons" is the face-value statement and may, or may not, be true. However, if one were to have a stockpile of nuclear weapons components, one might easily assemble the weapons in a hurry. Every nation that has innovative weapons systems has fibbed a bit.

It would be nice if we had a treaty that ensured that in echange of diplomatically reducing tensions and creating economic ties that would result in a slow but stead y deradicalization of their isolationist status quo. That would be a great idea. Someone should do that, let's just hope that there's no oranges of the real estate conman variety to sabotage that effort, IT WOULD REALLY BE A SHAME IF THAT HAPPENED

If i remember the former Iranian foreign ministry's interview on cnn when a deal happened, he meant to the journalist that moment, like you can verify our nuclear program as many times as you like and we will cooperate 100 percent every time, we have nothing to hide, and we want to be transparent. Yet Trump cancelled the deal to come to this present situation. Once Russia wanted to join NATO, the us said, no,we would like you to be a villain. The cold war ideology is a great threat for climate change you know, but us will never understand. Their autocratic structure won't understand. Military budget receiver won't be able to go to Hawaii if they do so.🤔

You need access to the Iranian nuclear program, but you can't ensure that Iran will get sanction-free. 2015 nuclear deal ensured that Iran would cooperate and WEST would not impose sanctions on Iran, but the US, due to the Israeli lobby, got out of the deal. Why does Iran cooperate?

Now the problem is that some powerful nations have their own policies that simply goes around those laws and agreements and want to pressure others not to produce any of those weapons. One of this agreement said that nuclear weapons can not be produced by those nations that don’t have it already but what is basically mean is that they can produce as many parts of them as they want and in case that they need it can be put together in matters of hours and that is what other nations actually are doing.

Grossi has investigated Israel nuclear sites & has confirmed that nuclear proliferation has not taken place in Middle East region via Israel. He has attested that Israel has not developed a bomb. So it is important that Iran too should stay within non proliferation treaty and should not be developing a bomb.. out of fear from an Israeli bomb.

Grossi and his IAEA are hardly neutral when it comes to Iran.
As long as Israel remains a threat to Iran, Iran would be irrational to make any agreement with the US. Libya is testimony.
