  • drew brees retirement was devastating, losing in the divisional too. He even took a final glimpse of mercedes-benz stadium before he went into the locker room.

    • Drew and Payton turned the Aints into the Saints, and gave us 15 years of great competitive football we never thought was possible in New Orleans before them. They came to New Orleans when we were at rock bottom after Katrina, when we didn't even know if the Saints would stay in New Orleans. They and the rest of the team gave hope to an entire region trying to rebuild. They gave us something to distract us from the pain and something to rally around. No single game can match the emotion of the Saints return to the Superdome in 2006. No Superbowl will ever match the emotion and importance of the Saints in 2009. And the philanthropy by Drew, Payton, and many other Saints helped more people get back on their feet than could ever be counted.

  • Andrew Luck's retirement still breaks my heart to this day. The dude was just a Hall of Fame quarterback had he had some more years but the Indianapolis Colts didn't care to protect him or his health and the injuries he sustained were just devastating. I'm just glad he was able to retire before anything else happened to him and he couldn't walk anymore.

    • @Prestin Hurshberry When asked if he was gonna retire, Big Ben refused to take "no" as an answer. In all seriousness total legend on the field. Great arm, clutch player, 2 rings, many pro bowls, and always seemed to elude the pass rush despite being as slow as a sloth. First ballot HoFer no doubt. He will be missed!
