  • Good effort on refurbishing that angle grinder. Now to find a replacement guard to go around the cutting/grinding discs. Also, get a heavier duty cable and replace the one you put on. It looks like its for a lamp and not really suited for the heavier current that the grinder is going to draw. You could end up melting the plastic insulation if you use the grinder for longer periods of time.

  • Very nicely done, you certainly brought an old tool back to life. I do agree with all those who say you need to either make or buy a guard, it only takes a millisecond to get a hot sharp piece of metal in your eye.

  • En la limpieza y restauración de las piezas afectadas te doy un 10 de 10, en el ensamble te doy un 8.5 por lo que ensamblaste el rotor y la tapa caja de manera incorrecta ;el resultado es el mismo pero lo hiciste de una manera muy incómoda. En lo que si fallaste es en el uso de repuestos adecuados para el equipo,se debieron reemplazar tres rodamientos de una calidad acorde a la del equipo y lo mismo con los carbones ( o escobillas ) ,esto último es de gran importancia. Me sorprendió el tratamiento que le diste a las piezas de metal quedaron excelentes ,hoy aprendi algo nuevo.

  • Do you checked spare parts view for this grinder? You put cutting wheel incorrectly and use wheel guard. Plate with three hols are needed to hold wheel guard not a cutting disc. Dont hit with hammer or pile to ball bearing when rubber is on it because you are damagind ball bearing. Good power cord is needed because of your safety and good tool work. But that is my opinion as a power tools technician 🤓 Good video and nice video angles.

  • Buen trabajao pero olvidaste el protector del disco y cortando tienes que tener mas cuidado, se te va hacia adelante la radial por que quieres hacer el corte rapido pero todo aquel que trabaja con una radial sabe que deberias ir mas tranquilo al final del corte

  • Reminds me of an apprentice using a dull beaver... Whacking the middle of a crescent wrench to loosen a rusty nut kinda defeats using leverage no? Next time maybe try hitting the END of the handle😉 I see the lamp cord, but where’s the light bulb? Oh that’s not a lamp, then why use 16ga wire? You’d have been better off washing the old cord in kerosene or gas too then just using a new grounded cord cap. Safety squints won’t save your eyesight either, (if that thing doesn’t melt down or burn up in the meantime) so please do the right thing and get a shield for that before you get hurt. Those cutting wheels spit fibers as they wear especially when leaning into them at high rippums, and they do shatter/explode! Maybe find and restore a pair of diagonal cutters next instead of using scissors? One more tip, when putting a bearing onto a shaft try using a tube/deep socket that only touches the inner ring or all of it evenly. Watching you use that pipe and stick hitting the middle of the bearing was brutal! Don’t be upset, this is sarcastic constructive criticism ✌🏼 I did give you a like. Think safety and work smarter not harder brother, theres no project worth injuring yourself over just to create content😉

  • That doesn't look like a double insulated cable. Always use double insulated cables. Also, you should put a guard on it.

  • Hi I enjoyed your restoration thank you!! I would like to know what the the liquid and powder are that did such an amazing job at the beginning of the video to clean off the grease and dirt??? Also I don’t know what you are planning on doing with the grinder but please please get a guard for the disc so if the blade breaks it won’t go into you. I’ve had this happen with a guard on and it was scary 😱😱 please change the cable to something bigger it needs to be 1.5mm squared I’m an electrician trust me. Looking forward to more videos
