why is it gaberiel is always portrayed as the antagonist or evil one? The Prophecy, Constantine, Legion. He's always portrayed as the bad guy, and i cant help wonder why
You say always like there isn't as much movies and TV shows that portray him as a good guy. And i believe he may have started as a villian in The Prophecy but gets redeemed later on, in the shitty sequels. And he's pretty much the only good angel on the Supernatural TV Show with the exception of Castiel, their main one. He, along with Michael, Raphael, Metraton, etc, are frequently portrayed as villians throughout media because they're the most popular angels. Everyone knows about them, even if by name only, and so whenever people think of writing stories with angels as bad guys, they're more likely to imagine the angels they know as bad guys. There's also another common scenario where the fictional angel doesn't even have anything to do with the actual angel from abrahamic lore besides it's name because the author just made up an evil angel character and then chose any angel name that they knew (which, again, tends to be the more popular ones like Gabriel and Michael) and just stuck it on their character. You have Gabriel from Constantine as an example. That's why you're more likely to see Gabriel and other famous angels as villians in fiction as opposed to Agael, Zadkiel, Haniel, Cassiel, Jophiel or any other less popular angel.
I was thinking the very same. Some movies do that to him...I have never seen an evil Michael for instance...
Kevin Durand was great on Andromeda and Stargate SG1. Hated his character Keamy on Lost.

Does anyone see it!!!!!??? Michael taught, fought, and sacrificed himself for a "Child" that will save humanity!!! He died, and GOD took him and his earthly body... At the end of the movie, he returned and concord that in which was meant to destroy humanity. This shall be when Christ returns!!!! He lived, and taught to protect all of us. As a result, they put him to death, and he died for our sins. In the "End" he will return and concur evil "Once and for all!!!" and save all that have believed!!!
