Its even mentioned in GOW 4, that Greek pantheon despise Nordic pantheon. And btw. Kratos was about 2.5m long in GOW 1-3 and Zeus was much bigger than him. Even Thor was smaller than him.

Kratos is really one of the greatest video game characters ever. There's so much to his character and every tragic thing that happens to him manages to generate a degree of sympathy.
What makes him so good is that he is not perfect he does mistakes horrific ones too yet it’s for a purpose or a reason he ACTUALLY believes in

The beautiful thing about the god of war franchise is that for the people who have never played the originals and hear why kratos refuses to talk about his past. All they have to do is play the older games. In other words, his past is actually playable and not just a lore you have to read) almost like your along side him on his path of vengeance and who he used to be.
But also it's where the hate begins and disappointment that the guy who once had no problem with beating people up to death and killed a bunch of actively resisting gods now can't calm down one brat and a hysterical woman. One could hardly believe such a change.

The most terrible thing about Odin was that he was a mastermind. A manipulator. Sure he pretended to be weaker than he actually was. His own son was much larger than he was (granted that he was half giant), but Odin still held more power than he ever could when he killed him without a second thought. He was not invincible though. And he knew this, which is why he tricked Freya into teaching him powerful magics that would help him prepare for Ragnarok when it came. He fought so hard to defy his own destiny but he never would've expected Kratos, the Slayer of Gods to come into the equation. The main difference between him and Zeus is that Zeus is just raw power and fury. Odin calls himself the Allfather but Zeus is the Father of All. The god of gods. He was just as clever as Odin, but Odin could never hold a candle to the power Zeus has control over. With a flick of his arm he threw a bolt of lightning that nearly killed him and the literal mother of all creation. Odin is manipulation and deceit. Zeus is power and overwhelming strength.
I think the problem with Odin in the new game is the developers rushed the ending. Odin, Vili and Ve (his brothers) should have been Boss Fights. But Odin alone should be not so far from Zeus' level. Zeus is the ing of the Gods for a reason though. He should be strong.

Christopher Judge fits well with an older, more weathered and matured Kratos…he preserves that power but there’s greater intelligence in the way he speaks, it’s more measured TC did a great job as a younger Kratos, one who is more passionate and less fueled by the experience he is gaining

Zeus is definitely more powerful than Odin, even though Kratos technically got stronger, he’s held back in every fight he’s had with the Norse Gods; trying to not be consumed by who he once was. Imagine if Odin killed Atreus. There wouldn’t have been a 3 v 1 just a blood stain being Odin.
I mean, in Norse Myth Odin isn't considered stronger than other Gods. In Greek myth Zeus is 100% the strongest God. In Norse it's Thor. He's said to level mountains in rage and defeats every opponent he fights in one swing of his hammer, with the exception of Jormungandr, who he kills in 3 hits, and dies himself. The most for Odin is that his spear always hits its mark, but he was mostly about knowledge, wisdom, and such.

Always felt really cheesy and dumb to me. Kratos and Atreus blows it out of the water.
People are upset that Kratos isn’t as angry or vengeful as he is in the first three games. That’s the point. The ending literally proves that (without giving anything away). He says multiple times that he isn’t looking for war, that he doesn’t want to fight Freya and that his only concern is keeping Atreus safe. This game is about him and the character arc he’s gone through over the course of five games. If you’re so upset about it, then you have three games to go play if you’re craving that violence so much Edit: the people trying to argue with me in the comments are proving my point lol

I still find funny that the Olympus Sword, the sword that Kratos meant to "use to kill the gods" didn't kill any god, instead of that it only killed titans, like the purpose why Zeus created it, to finish the battle against them

It's a *Must-play* as the game is so addicting with its combat, weapons, level progression and it plays so smooth. This game has one of the best looking *gameplay* with so much fluidity and good pacing. Also if you play on the hardest difficulty, this game makes you even better at playing in challenging yourself, as one of the games that helps me to play easily better at how to dodge and maneuver in other games. Seriously this is one of the best games in the series with awesome mechanics and quick time events also helping you get better at playing games in my opinion 👍.

This ending is perfect. Kratos gave the world Hope, something that the gods kept away from them. Same thing as Prometheus giving the world Fire and getting punishment for it, but Kratos will later be known as the God of hope, the one everyone prays to when everything else is lost. The prophecy in the final scenes of Ragnarok shows people painted on blood red pray to a gold statue of Kratos holding the Axe.

Ehh, don't think it has to do with how potent the fire magic from the blades are, so long as it didn't originate from the norse realms, it would light up in Helheim.
Their magics works very differently and is hard to compare which is better, but Thor is the strongest opponent amongst all the gods and giants Kratos had ever fought.

Fun fact, Zues was to apologize and then asks Kratos to end him right before you kill him as he was free from the corruption and was asking Kratos to put him out of his misery after what he has done to him and everyone else. But the line was cut but is still in the flies of the game.
Zeus in the most literal sense is more powerful than Odin, however Odin was a smarter and more magically inclined being. He challenged Kratos on a more hit and run kind of thing rather than the fucking straight hands Zeus gave him.
Also the argument for “gods get more powerful the older they are” isn’t even true. It’s SEEN that the longer a god lives is an indication of how powerful you MIGHT be considering your time to collect strength, magic, weapons and the like.

Lore and feats wise he kinda is. I mean, it took Atreus, Freiya AND Kratos to bring him down. However, the way he was portrayed on his fight made him look weaker. This boss battle was so much better.
