    • Parents might eat them. Well Goldfish aren't necessarily active predators, they tend to eat anything that can fit in their mouth

  • I use methaline blue in every tank once there are eggs no matter the species. This will prevent the eggs getting fungus. You can also use malaysian trumpet snails (for warm water) as they will clean the eggs of fungus without harming the eggs.

  • Thank you for this brilliant video, it's been very helpful🙂 You certainly know how to look after fish, your tank & fish are gorgeous 🥰 I have 2 fantails & a black moor. Today the bottom of their tank was covered with a sticky greyish clear egg looking things about the size of cracked pepper. I was told when I got my fish 2yrs ago, they were all boys. I'd love offspring from my beautiful fish i have now. Though I'm not 100% sure if their baby fish eggs or something else that could be dangerous to them. One of the fantails I have has looked like it's got swim bladder,so I reduced feeds & gave it pealed cooked peas, then these egg looking things appeared. They've also had a recent outbreak of white spot, which I've been treating with multi cure. What should I do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

  • I'd say that it is best if you remove the parent fish from the tank and leave the eggs be in the original tank. That way, you can ensure a much higher success rate for the baby fish.
