I bought the cheapest Audi RS6 i could find which just so happens to be crash damaged. Its super risky buying a crash damaged car as you never know what you're going to find but i took the risk & i needed to get this car rebuilt and restored as fast as possible for one very good reason!

So nice to see a KZheadr actually complete a project in a single video. I hate watching a 30 minute video and then have to wait a week for part 2 lol
and they have 20 parts you right
20 and still going
Some of Legit Streets Cars videos are great and gets everything done in one video.
Lmao Tavarish with his Gallardo build few years ago. I remember being so frustrated that I stopped watching him.
Here I am looking for part two gggg
Have to credit to your videos Mat. Doing so much and fitting it into one video-just so impressive.
Glad that they mentioned retaining the air on gas, yes it’s a pain to get it recharged, but it should be recovered properly if it’s removed, some of the air con gas HCFC are 2000 times more damaging than CO2 so small amounts do make a difference….they are also expensive…keep up the videos Mat you are inspirational.
What I am loving at the moment is that Matt is really involving his dad with all his projects which is loverly to see some proper farther-son time together and mr Armstrong snr seems to really know his stuff and seems a integral part of the team so long may this relationship carry on in the future ❤️

It's taken me like 8 months so far fixing similar damage (no airbag or windscreen dmg though) alongside other stuff. 😅 Definitely heaps of work, depending a lot on how much you buy parts vs. fixing them and painting (oh boy).
OMG the rs6 wagon is my ultimate dream car, and for all the reasons you listed. Was so nice to hear someone who gets it. I also love buying damaged cars, fixing and reselling so it made this video like the perfect storm. Cant wait to go watch what happens to it next, keep up the great work.
Once you finally bought an RS6, avoid listening to Kerosene in it.
Yes, DO NOT LISTEN TO KEROSENE WHILE DRIVING IT OK?
Those are pre-facelift headlights, but they are full LED and require different plugs and coding to work, and you might need additional modules on the car to make it work, depending on what cameras they utilize for the automatic high beams. Kufatec in Germany can sell you the components and give you the coding to make it work.
Exactly!
Hopefully he knows
Thank you :D Exactly this. These are non Matrix LED of prefacelift. Honestly if you already changing these I would go for facelift Matrix LED including the new modules. However I don't know the price difference of both. These old Xenons should be fairly the cheapest way to go
You right i got the same headlights completely different modules + plugs also from a pre facelift
@@ga4733 it won"t fit the facelift bumper is different
The new headlights you fitted are still for a pre facelift, difference is you now gone from xenon to led. With requires new plugs, extra wiring and other modules
My thoughts exactly, he doesn’t seem to be that in tune with Audi RS6 specs, considering he said its the ultimate wagon 😂
There are adapter kits from hid to led for this rs6 available.
@@divepopo11 doubt the matrix function will works as it require the big camera in windscreen . But perhaps his car has it. Didn’t look for it in the video But yeah I have seen some adaptor wiring
@@tomchloe3208 indeed, lacks a lot of knowledge...

Matt loved your videos keep up the good work. That is awesome you get to experience that with your dad! I would have loved doing that with mine. The RS6 is such a beautiful car. Is the maintenance quite expensive on those cars?
Loving the Audi restomod stuff! From bitter experience with a 1995 UrA6 I know that even what the workshop manual & parts catalogue says is often wrong. Then there is the fact it’s so well screwed together, there are usually clips held in by screws and screws held in by screws (probably exaggerating) But the best is the pneumatic line system on the old ones like a lego technic JCB set x 1000 or as one mechanic mate put it “Repairing an old Audi is like trying to fix a Swiss watch with a spanner” 😂
My dad use to help me with my work as well. He was a legend. Sadly he’s no longer with me and I miss him every day, not only for his advice but his practical skills too. Mat you’re one lucky guy. Love your content

Dear Mat, a huge thank you for your channel! It is a pleasure to follow you and watching you give crash damaged cars a second life:) You also encouraged me doing more by myself on my car. This winter I've stripped apart the whole interiour of my Maserati and renewed it. The only thing I'd love to see is that sometimes you would take a bit more time for the rebuild😉 just a bit;) But I understand your challange like the one with the RS6. All the best to you! From Switzerland (the country with strict speed limits)😉
Such a nice guy and friendly team to work with
Mat, you three are legends! I have to tell you how you gave this 48 year old Mom of 2 teenage boys, "street cred"..... My son is wanting to update his stock BMX bike for his birthday in a couple weeks. It'll be his very first project of the sort. He gave me a list of things he wanted (New forks, wheels, tires, handlebar, grips, pedals, seat and custom paint job) and said "I know you don't know much about cars or bikes, so here's my list, but don't order anything without me checking to make sure they're right!" I started to laugh and told him "You do know that I lived a whole life before you right? I used to buy cars and modify them, put new custom wheels and tires on them, do custom paint jobs, and put amazing stereos in them! I've had so many cars I can't keep track of them all!" He looked at me and asked to see pictures and was shocked at the sheer amount of cars that I owned. I then showed him your channel and told him how I watch you weekly, along with a few others that rebuild cars, and others that do custom painting. He looked at me like I was someone he had never seen before! I suddenly was a cooler Mom just by him seeing you were a BMX rider AND rebuilt awesome cars. I've been with you since you had about 100k followers and I've loved watching you grow to where you are today. You're my absolute favorite and I appreciate you, Hannah, your Dad Tony and everyone else who helps with your projects and videos. Thanks so much for bringing me a bit closer to my sons. You made me a very happy Mom today! ❤

Wow that’s the coolest comment I have ever seen and so sweet I think it’s really cool that you follow all of this and have done things like that in your past there is no better feeling than building your own car or doing your own project like that
I think you need to click the wheel change option in the dash Matt, to stop the air bags inflating as you lift it up, you normally put it in this setting when changing a wheel
You're correct on that
Unless it has been lowered with drop link extensions 🤔
@@keithmason5584 You can do that (on the C8 too), but to be honest, you can just set most of that in VCDS and you don't need the drop-links.
@Jayden-oz1zf Thanks BotHabibi, valuable input for sure.
Nice vid, I just subscribed to see how crazy this mess will end up :P best wishes from the Caribbean. keep it coming!
Mind blown 🤯 too sick! Really appreciate you making these vids for us !
The light situation is a bit messy with the C7/7.5… those you ordered are the pre-facelift full-led lights (they were the first full-led lights in 2011), which do however require different wiring, same with the actual facelift lights. For the rear you can rewire the lights from the facelift if you prefer them, it’s not that difficult of a job. Good luck with the awesome build!
Are the new ones not matrix led?
No, the new 1's are pre face lift led. Matrix wasn't available on the pre face lift.
Matt, those are not facelift headlights. Those are optional pre facelift matrix led headlights. And you should definitely use jackmode, otherwise suspension will let all the air out when jacked. Stocked for the rs6 build!
@@Jayden-oz1zf stick to the subject dude

An RS6 is still number 1 on my bucketlist, since i was 9 and saw (and heard) it for the first time in Munich. Throughout the generations of the RS6 they just became more and more beautiful (imo).

Absolutely brilliant 🤩
Wreck cars from my country, north America, North Africa, Arab, china, and East Asia are all ending up in the UK. Used and wrecked resale is the fastest growing industry in the UK for a reason. My brother who migrated to the UK is making tons of money by shipping wrecked cars from my country back to the UK. He fixed them and sells the parts. Unlike rich countries like China, Arab and America where they prefer to buy new cars. My brother helps Brits to appear richer and maintain their posh lifestyle while also putting UK as hot market for luxury cars in the world map by selling luxury and sports cars at dirt cheap prices.

Can't wait to see this finished , the rs6 is my dream car and your going to do an awesome job on this beast 🤙🏻
When it comes to the headlights I had the C7 platform for my Audi S6 and I personally didn't buy one unless it had the LED headlights. They make a massive difference! Looks alone are 10000x better but in terms of visibly at night is NIGHT & DAY. The ones that came with yours are dull and yellow and the LED have the crisp white light and turn with you to brighten your peripheral when you turn. They're not an updated version to a later model they came with that option from standard or upgrading to those LED's.
Love your videos Mat. thanks for posting
I work on heavy trucks so it’s a little different but when we lift trucks with air suspension in the air we drain the bags and chain up the axles so it doesn’t hang from the bags.

This is nice! Im new to your channel and just sub! Just a question, if a normal person bought a totaled car with a confition like yours how much it will cost for the garage to do that i mean the labor and fitting at all? Thanks!
You could get the plug for the facelift headlight from either a crash damaged car or a few aftermarket stores, after which all you’ve got to do is cut the wires from the old ones and re-wire them with the new plug. I did the same for my RS6 here in India as I got aftermarket headlight. You could also get the headlight plug from some aftermarket plug and play kits.
The headlights he has are actually out of a pre facelift RS6/A6/S6. For the ore faclift there were the normal base headlights and full LED headlights. He bought full LED pre facelift lights. However you still are right about getting a new plug or even an adapter harness
Maybe Kufatec sells some pre face to face adapters

I wish I had a friend like Mat, so I could get an amazing car.
Congrats !!! You got lucky and it was an easy fix. My opinion is when you see a fender pushed into a door, DO NOT try to OPEN the door, that ding in the A pillar was caused by you forcing the door open then forcing it closed. Now you have extra body work to do
Yeah that was just stupid 😂

@guestgott ,That’s an odd comment. Without speaking for Matt & co, they have taken a badly crashed car and got it to Re spray stage in 24 hours.
