I didn't expect to burst into tears watching this... It was the bit when Nicola talked about not being the "right" size to go on the cat walk. Not that I've ever wanted to do that myself, but the idea that I wasn't the "right" shape/size hung over me for most of my adult life, the feeling of being "imperfect". I expect many, if not most, women will understand the pressure we are put under to be the shape that is deemed "right" at any particular point in history - which changes down the ages in any event, so it's pot luck whether your shape is "in vogue" or not when you're living. Then Nicola said "We're women, we're not meant to be perfect" and the floodgates opened - in a good way. You're right, we're not meant to be perfect, we're meant to be who we are! I'm in my 60s and I have only in the last couple of months made peace with my body. I've finally realised that actually, it's a good body. It's allowed me to live my life without major problems, and it's created 3 beautiful children. It may be nobody's idea of perfection (my husband begs to differ, but he's biased! 😁), but it's mine and I am grateful for it. Thank you, Nicola, for saying what you said. We're not meant to be perfect. We're meant to be real.

just watched the little black skirt video and ❤❤❤❤ it. If I could make a suggestion for content, since many of your first followers will be sewists. could you consider doing a fabric picks video from the fashion trend point of view. as sewists we get so many lovely prints to chose from but I find it hard to distinguish from what I just love as fabric and what I would actually feel modern and stylish in wearing. Iknow Sean wears what she likes and looks fab in her florals and tropical prints but the patterns I fall for don't always really work in my real life, I feel clownish or frumpy in some of the prints I loved on the bolt. For example right now farm rio is huge, but finding a fabric that is in that style is hard when I am sorting through many other tropical prints. With your eye, you might get less distracted and be able to point us *me in the right direction. thanks
