  • The front A-arm bushings on the burn car are delren, take one out and have 12 more made for the rear suspension for the rebuild. Compare the inter coolers between the two cars, the one on the burnt car was upgraded. Inspect the exhaust/mufflers. If they survived, I recommend using that exhaust. Good power, no drone. The rear of the burnt car frame, there are triangular close off panels, you may want to preserve that concept, It helps prevent the back of the car from generating an Air Curtin with the rotating tires and aids cooling. The white PVC pipes separated the two radiator and oil cooler tubes and allow airflow to exit the center tunnel. The center tunnel will get HOT. You can see the car pre-fire on Heidi & Franny's Garage with the title "Ferrari 308 and Noble Drive to lunch" thats all for now. Doug

  • In the early 2000's Fram marketed the "Sure-Drain" oil change system that appears similar to what you're working with. You would replace your oil drain plug with a brass drain plug that had a spring valve incorporated into it and a threaded outer for a metal dust cap to screw over. When you needed to change your oil you removed the dust cap and screwed on a hose and fitting included in the kit. The fitting had a protrusion that would open the spring valve once it was screwed completely on. It was mainly marketed as mess-free and did work very well especially with vehicles that tended to be designed in such a way that the draining oil would normally douse some portion of the undercarriage. It appears Fumoto does/did make something similar and a company called No-Spill Systems continues to do so. It had one of Frams and it did make oil changes very quick with no chance of mess since the hose would reach right down to a pan.

    @darinwink-ou4qk@darinwink-ou4qk21 күн бұрын
    • There are several ingenious solutions that achieve the no-spill goal. There's one that works almost like a tap: you open it along its horizontal axis and the oil pours vertically, thus saving your fingers and eliminating the risk of loosing the oil plug and the need of a hose. Why is is it a bonus not to need a hose? Because you don't have to deal with the messy hose afterwards! Even more so if you don't have a lift.

      @anidiotinaracingcar4874@anidiotinaracingcar487419 күн бұрын
  • That drain plug is a gem and installed by someone who changed his oil frequently (or with OCD). It allows you to insert a tube (with the proper end to press the ball detent) and drain the oil with *zero* spill

  • I've got a Factory Five GTM. It has riveted aluminum panels on the bottom also. The front floorboards are steel though, instead of aluminum. You might think about welding in some front floorboards in steel for some protection in case of a crash. It would probably add some rigidity in that area as well. If you haven't made molds before do some research before you start. With a good mold it would be easy to replicate. You could sell them to other Noble owners as an upgrade if you wanted to.

Reminds me of the days of builder tv, without the b roll to fill in the time slot. I want to see the work, not filler. Even the ad spots take a second to the work. I bought it to stop wind blowing the oil on my driveway when i do oil changes and two it stops you ever needing to buy crush washers for some vehicles oil drain bolt. Mine was made by Aeroquip but other companies make similar.

Stalagmites form on the ground directly below a stalactite, where the mineral deposits begin to pile up and accumulate from water dripping off the end of the stalactite.

  • The diffuser was made out of aluminium to take some heat out of the engine bay, as well as aerodynamics. We made some for a Noble specialist in the U.K

  • Nice template for making a kevlar/nomex bottom panel set. They are highly impact resistant and fireproof if you use the right resin. *Kevlar is also lighter than carbon and can be used in all non structural parts. Body panels and skid/underbody panels. If you want carbon look, get it in black. Carbon sucks for non structural parts because it cracks with a little impact. Kevlar won't crack with a sledge hammer. Not only lighter weight than carbon, it's also cheaper.
