In this little video I take you through my altered book - showing you how I use vintage collage to decorate and make ephemera to store in the many pockets and tucks. This book is based on Natasha's beautiful Altered Book on her inspirational @TreasureBooks channel. #collage #vintagecraft #TrulyVintageEphemera #alteredbooks

  • What a wonderful altered book, Grace! I love the fact that you didn’t totally cover all of the pages with digital or scrapbook paper. You created some folds I hadn’t seen before. I especially like the pockets you made by cutting the pages horizontally.

    • Hi. I'm glad I inspired you to work on your one book. I must say I enjoy the process and I don't really "do" anything with them but admire them. You could use it as a journal to write in by including lots of blank journalling tags in the pockets 😀

You said for a few of the pages with pockets and multiple folds you folded and glued and then cut. • Hi Cindy. Thanks for your comments. This book originally had about 130 pages. The final journal has around 50 pages used to construct the various pockets. I randomly took out 2-4pages at a time. The final book does sit open (I call it a rhinoceros album ...lol) but that's how I like them. Hope that helps 😀

      @gracekeogh@gracekeogh Жыл бұрын
    • Did she say "every other page"? I have seen and done a couple where you take out about every 5th one. That leave so many pages. I like this technique better.
