How to make charcoal very fast and easy way without a lot of smoke.

  • I live in a place where charcoal is not needed for cooking. But on our farm we use large kilns to make charcoal for biochar. We add our crushed charcoal to the compost, and then to our gardens to increase the fertility of the soil. We use pruingings and "waste" wood that would otherwise become a fire hazard to improve our soils. Your two barrel system is simple, and will make large amounts of charcoal, both for cooking and for soil improvement. Thank you for sharing your idea.

    • @@HappilyIndian I've been hearing the theory about veganism for a long time and it appealed to be. But now looking at your comment it starts looking like a joke. So going by your theory, you should not wash fruits and vegetables so tht you don't kill the microbes, or you shouldn't even take dewormers, medicines, or bathe yourself 'cause you'll kill the microbes with soap. So what's up???

    • Observe the smoke........... it will initially be white and thick. When it's ready to seal up and take off fire it will be light colour vapour smoke almost grey blue and thin. Also no smoke is a sign to seal but be careful as sometimes the char can be overturned and crap for cooking or water filtering. Watch the smoke colours! :)

    • Sir a small but important suggestion... please put the hot barrel on a few bricks instead of directly on ground... in vedic scriptures it is said to hurt mother earth if anything (including a small burning candle/diya) is kept directly on earth... perhaps to save any microbes below.... so PLEASE AVOID KEEPING A HOT BURNING VESSEL DIRECTLY ON EARTH 🙏🏼👍🙏🏽
