  • This will still have to settle in, but the more time will pass, the more people will realize that we witnessed history surrounding a man, raised and trained in the Dagestani mountains, becoming bigger then the sport itself and retiring as undefeated undisputed champion 🦅 Some stats to highlight his career. -13 UFC fights, (allegedly ‘officially’ only losing 1 round). -Never been knocked down nor cut -Undefeated in the 155 division (which has been fittingly described as one of the toughest division(s) if not toughest) -3 title defenses, against a double champ, an interim champ, and Justin the interim champ, who beat Tony who possessed the longest winning streak in UFC lightweight history). Worth mentioning as well, Justin has never been submitted in his entire career... Fighting a minimum of a decade in MMA and possessing stats such as above is truly mission impossible, unless your name is Khabib. What an incredible achievement from a mma icon and truly a sports/mma legend. Khabib introduced an unprecedented ground game to the UFC. Underestimated for his boxing as well, he went toe to toe with the best strikers in the division. Khabib also brought honor, respect and loyalty to the game when at times this was overshowed in favor of ‘commercial trash talk’. Khabib and goat status will never be seperated from each other whenever his legacy will be discussed. While history was made and a legacy set in stone, Khabib reminded the world a lesson, ‘be good with your parents’.

    • 32 is pushing the prime boundaries, especially 34-35 is. 33 or Larry Bird's number or Jesus' age at death or Freemasonry's favorite number may be the last year of prime for a fighter. Of course, everybody's different, but ah, there's only so far science can preserve the eyes, the ears, the nose, the mouth, the joints, the muscles, the bones, the balance, the lungs, the mind.

    • @@blockaderunner You must not know anything about male biology. A man doesn't hit his "prime" until his early to mid 30s. I'm assuming you're like 21 or something.

    • @@blockaderunner No. He hasn't. He's just about to enter it. Which says a lot about his skill. Still a young guy. Also depends on the milage on your body. Nick Diaz at 29 is not the same 29 as say Khabib.
