  • As a body man you shoot for what you know you can do and what you expect the end result will be . I know that you are not building a show truck but an every day driver that is out of the ordinary !! Thank you for showing every stage of the build it gives people a real picture of what it takes to get results . Till next time , Stuart in Ontario ..

    • That's why people watch they love the customizing you thinking and solving issues using wharevers on hand the 37 ford looked like junk when you were first working it then it started evolving into the cool truck it turned out to be this truck will be the same thing

  • Another KZheadr I watch uses a heat gun to soften up the used discs on his orbital grinder. Peels off really easy. Love the videos where you end off with Pablo making a guest appearance.

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge and builds with all of us! My buddy's always joke around about fabbing stuff, they say "when in doubt, just BAD CHAD IT!. 😂 Whatever works, works. If it meets you liking and doesn't look like total crap then ok then. Can't wait to see this build done! Thanks again, cheers!

  • Hi Brent, watching you use the grinder and flap wheels made me think about something that Jordan, Bennett Customs, devised. Both he and Karl use it, they use a small air grinder with the small abrasive discs, they cut the disc so it’s square. You used the tool at 31:25. That way they finish in tight spots, they seem to do a great job. Have a look at Karl’s rear shockie mount video because I think he uses that idea in that. Loving your work, it’s inspirational and very educational for someone who doesn’t do this sort of thing. I have a ding in my ride on so I may have a go at sorting it after watching you. Hi Esther.

  • Hey Brent! Georgina here (originally from MB) watching from just south of Peterborough, ON. My hubby Steve watches you quite often, so I usually hear you more see you. Seeing that laser stripping tool in action is impressive! Your special recipe for fiberglass bondo sounds like an excellent solution to building up a decent base! Can't wait to see the project finished up! If possible, we'd love to meet you & Esther and see your garage when we're back in the 'Peg visiting sometime. We truly admired Esther's 49 Monarch at the LA Roadster Show when we saw it in the Suede Palace! My little car collection is a 1975 MGB, and two 54 Caddies - one Series 62 Sedan and a "Meteor' Hearse/ Ambulance. Always enjoy hearing about your projects! :D

  • Sheet moulded compound or corvette panel adhesive is water proof and stops water from bubbling the through pin holes. It's better to have a bit more hardener then not enough. Please dont paint this one green ok Brent! LOL Just flash the propane torch over the face of your old disc and they peel of your sander much easier.

  • Hey Brent, that fender took some time but when you want to have it come out looking good you do what you have to do. The extra work on the cab and to get the gaps right will make it look outstanding and I know it’s a street cruiser not a show car but you still want to have it look its best. When you rapped up the video Pablo really seemed happy that you called it a night, I don’t think I saw him that excited to go. Later

  • Brent, I've been following your build and have had some possible things to do,in the fifties Spence Murray of Rod and Custom magazine built a custom Chevy pickup called the Dream Truck, started out as a '50 Chevy pickup with a later (54) cab, some of the customizers of the area did the body mods including rear fenders built from '41 Buick tops another idea that I had was to fade the front fenders over the doors same as the forties GM cars were built, again just an observation
