There is one thing that I am absolutely sure of, and that’s your ability to figure it all out. It is why we all are glued to our computers when you post a video. Half Ass Kustoms truly rocks….👍

  • That definitely strengthened up the front edge of the roof. You need some strength here because the wind will cross your hood, ride up the windshield and try to lift the front of the roof up leading to wind noise and rain getting in. If later you find that a flat seal will not work, you can make a "U" channel that rests along the top edge of your window and has a seal inside that compresses over your glass. Maybe 3/8" to 1/2" on each side of the glass. This can be welded to the flat surface ... just a thought.

They can tell you what would be need to attach it, even if you have to pay a small fee it would be worth it to lessen any hassle that may crop up.

When i built the Fargo visor i welded 1/4 round rod to the front edge and 1/8 flat on the back edge. Two bolts and nuts on each side hold it solid, even meeting a semi gust it stays put. Flexes but its fine. The way you are building it,if it does blow iff i think it would survive unless a truck runs it over😂 Looks like this is my motivation to get back into shop this evening.

Anyway, like a tent pole, for in the middle. From the roof, can you put a piece that fits inside the other, in the middle, like a tent pole. Having one of those clips that if you push the button, you can push it up or down to lock it in place. Know what i mean ? may can even do something on the side pieces also for extra strength.
