Hi
I would love to see a “I spent a day with Anthony Padilla”? Basically you sitting down, interviewing yourself and telling us what you have learnt from this series and all of the different people
Holy shit. This is the best comment
this
Yes please. Love this

Would love that too But i want that to happen on 6 million milestone
This was amazing!!! I had so much fun, thanks again for having me on the show :)
it was an honor to have you on, legend!
You are awesome mike
I used to fingerboard. You’re a legend!
@@AnthonyPadilla I think I forgot my coconut water there! Dude, awesome job on the intro too with the sound effects THPS style, loved that!
I’m so glad to see you in this video.
Fingerboarding has helped me through a dark time. I used to be a 100% die hard skateboarder, it was my life, I lived and breathed skating. I had been skating for about 22ish years and I was hit with a bunch of shit all at once, I got this severe deadly lung infection and came within a day of actually dying. Because of the sickness I lost around 70lbs including my muscle mass that I had developed from skateboarding for so long. Once I was out of the hospital and starting to get healthy again I started skating again, pushing around, trying to build my muscles back up. That didn't last long cause about 3 or 4 days into that I completely blew my right knee out. Mcl, pcl, and acl, destroyed. Now I couldn't even walk. It was one of those "career ending" injuries. Well while rehabilitating from that, my other knee blew out... how ironic lol Anyways, I can't skate anymore, like physically can't do it, and it was the saddest thing I've ever experienced. I found fingerboarding, and it has filled some of that empty hole that losing skateboarding, the love of my life caused. I never would've thought something could help like this, but it has.
this is an amazing story, I wish you luck man hope you’re doing alright
Mike Schneider is an actual legend in their community, not just for skill/talent but mainly for his contribution to the craft
He's an og still pushing the limits of fingerboarding
yes, shoutout him he’s a true pioneer
def a rare niche linkup. love 2 see it.
I really appreciate that Anthony filmed this episode after spilling a whole cup of coffee on his shirt. Such dedication.
nothing was going to stop me. not even third degree burns on 90% of my torso.
Vitiligo people would be a cool "spend a day with"
@@AnthonyPadilla that’s exactly what I thought I went did he spill coffee?
@@kiwifruitbird7 I thought it was the style of the shirt lol
@@Nicole-tv7hy Same. Just like skateboarding hit the mainstream, broken clothes did and now apparently also (seemingly) dirty clothes? I really wonder if it is indeed branded clothing

Seeing people just unapologetically enjoy something they’re passionate about, something that just brings them pure joy no matter what anyone says, will always be so inspiring to me.
really is inspiring. Proof to keep trying new things and could find something like this you love
There parrnts prob dont agree

Am I the only one who gets a blurred part of the video from 5:34 to 5:45 and from 6:06 to 6:08, as well? And then again from 10:03 to 10:13... Everything else works well, so I have no idea what the hell is going on.
My assumption is they filmed the making process, but later decided they didn't want to show it? But then idk why they wouldn't just not put that cut of blurred footage in
Same here man, it’s strange.
I love how Anthony treats his guests with respect, even if the subject matter might seem "silly" or weird to outsiders. I have to admit, even I was like "seriously?" when I read the announcement last week-- but seeing it in action and hearing these people talk about it, I get it now. And honestly, it's a harmless passion. If they're having fun, who cares? Life's hard enough without judging someone over something like fingerboarding.
I'm understanding with a ton of stuff. The only thing I have a hard time understanding is trans people and I hope Anthony get them on here.
@@sharigod5228 have you seen his video with non binary people? They kinda talk about it on that video I believe if you want to learn. & there’s tons of trans you tubers out there who document their experiences for education purposes. :)
@@sharigod5228 thank you for being willing to learn & understand instead of just being hateful. I think a lot of people are rude about things they don’t understand because they feel “dumb” & nobody likes to feel uneducated. That’s what’s amazing about the internet though you can learn probably anything you want on here I think it’s so cool.
@@valkyriesommers420 That's true but also you could get false information as well, it's a double edge sword
@@sharigod5228 yeah you’re right, I think that’s the most annoying. I hate trying to educate myself & then not knowing if the info is true or false.
So stoked to see our shop and brand have a cameo! Come by anytime man we had a blast!
I was so excited to see the brand! I have a beanie on the way as we speak.
seeing the storefront made me happy, but seeing you had a whole skater in the video was next level. so stoked for you and the team! 🙏🏻

I would be interested to see 'I spent a day with therapists' including one from your sponsor, but also maybe an NHS therapist and a private American one for comparison. Would be super interesting!
Man, mikes smile when he talks about picking up the hobby as a kid and starting his website, is just so infectious. You can honestly tell that all three of them are so excited to talk about the sport. This video was super fun overall.
Ah, finally something that I don’t have to pay EA for to gamble my money away on skateboard crates
Bruh what's this gotta do with EA. EA sucks but the EA bad circlejerk gets annoying as well.

dude ever since i was a little kid i loved making tiny environments, making the parks for these skaters would be so fun
I know. I wish i could afford some decent tools and supplies. I want to build something like this so bad.
Ha same! I'm an amature but I enjoy making backgrounds for figures & dolls. Maybe that would be a good group of people to focus on, tiny world's? I also enjoy people who create & photograph tiny world's, wether it's Lego or that guy who created scenes from those little railway figures with everyday household items, I can't remember his name unfornutly.

Nice to see Mike & Anthony in the same room two OGs I grew up watching
Ok this is epic!!
hi david
hell yeah! you should have been in this one! 😂 😂
lol why weren't you in this video?

Hii
Okay but the mom helping her son's business is so cute
I really got into finger-boarding around 2013. It’s a great community and a great way for skateboarders to continue to “skate” when the weather is bad or during injuries.
It is so awesome to see you people took this to another level. When I was younger I exzactly started out the same; directly hooked to fingeboarding, doing it with a friend, and taking it with me everywhere! I even taped ramps to my bedside, so if I couldn't sleep I would fingerboard from in my cosy bed. I actually stopped doing it trough the years, just because other things took my life over. You really took me back to some beautiful times in my life, and I am going to get a fingerboard again ASAP! big love
Dude, I watched Anthony since Smosh started back in the 2000’s and now I find him again creating amazing content among all the trash that people post nowadays. He is really one of KZhead’s GOAT’s.
hahah what thats him????
Tom brady retired yesterday...
He really is!
Hey Anthony. I was wondering if a video like “I spent a day with Muslims” and/or “I spent a day with Hindus” would be a good idea. They're both often very misunderstood, and I think it'd be very educative! You're amazing, hope you have a great day!
Yes!
Yeah it would be an explosive video
I think this is a really good idea
that would be a really great idea, I love learning more about other cultures!
Wouldn’t that be too broad? There’s more than a billion Muslims, right?
Watching them all do their tricks in the beginning brought me so much joy
I used to fingerboard but I’d like to state that being with mike has to be an honor he’s literally a legend in the community like literal pioneer I just wish the community wasn’t how it is
I genuinely didn’t know their was an “community” for finger boarding. And that one could be a “pro”. I’m especially surprised by it still being a thing- I would believe it if it was a thing 10+ years ago. Nothing wrong! I welcome it, i’m just surprised 🙈
I wonder if, like a lot of more.noeche hobbies, social media has helped connect people, so help it build a stronger community?
anyone can go pro at something if you're good enough
@@NotAnotherKuromi yeah it’s completely built on Instagram

They’re just enjoying themselves… all these people look genuinely happy
Fantastico!!!. Anthony, you and your behind the scenes people have such a fresh ideas. All those things are outhere hidden but you bring them to the fore front in a respectful manner.
Please make a video with penspinners! I am a penspinner, and it's so interesting! The history and the culture is insane! I can also advice a person to talk to - Alex Sukhov (channel Pen Stock)

I NEVER knew this was a real thing. I do remember these back in the days when I was young but I never knew this was still a thing and a PRO Fingerboarders exist. That's awesome! Good for you!
absolutely loved this video, longtime fingerboarder since i was a child. i'm in my early twenties now, and although i don't fingerboard as often as i used to, or don't really attend the events anymore (wanna change that soon), i still ALWAYS have a fingerboard lingering around. right now its a flatface g15 splitply with black blackriver trucks and g4 BRR edition wheels. thank you for this anthony, loved the OG smosh videos and your new content
What they described as their feelings while they fingerboards, I can relate while doing my Rubik’s cube Really helps my anxiety too, people should value these more 💕
It'd be cool if Anthony did an episode on rubiks cube solvers.

If you’re gonna continue with skill toys in this series, I highly suggest Yoyos. I bet Gentry Stein would be down.
@Ernie Uchiha I didn’t say they were the same, they just fall under the skill toy category just like fingerboards.
And rubik’s cube. I mean speedcubing.
@Ernie Uchiha they seem kinda similar to me
Yesssss!
what about kendamas? that would be very interesting to see
Been fingerboarding on/off since like 2008, so this is really cool to see, and with Anthony hosting it makes it that much better. Great video 🤘🏻
I've been fingerboarding for 10 years and skateboarding for for 15 years. Its a great scene, and really rewarding! Landing a trick on a fingerboard has the same sense of accomplishment i have landing a trick on a skateboard! I've met great people from all over and all walks of life, just cause I have 34 millimeter sheets of wood under my fingers
"What are you in for?" "I finger boarded on government property"
Man Tech Decks really become a serious sport while I was thinking they were left in the early 2000s, only springing back up in meme culture. These people are very talented lmao
I wouldn't say it's a serious sport, I guess it's along the same lines as Yo-yoing, juggling or unicycling.
@Ernie Uchiha i think its more like how many people call bandages “band-aids”
I love how kickflips are just as visually satisfying with fingerboards as they are with skateboards
This is such a great thing I think it’s really good what you’re doing Anthony because you’re bringing finger boarding more to the open world that’s not your any day skaters and I think it’s amazing thank you
fingerboarding is our lifestyle
I love how you give the two options in the beginning in a sincere tone but are really just roasting the haters in advance.
I know this video Is a year old but watching content like this makes me happy I've stayed subbed for all these years. I remember watching you from Smosh when I was In middle and highschool and now that you're all grown up and so am I, It's so cool to see how you're growing as a person with your own channel and Including so much diversity and education about different people and perspectives on your channel. Love your videos man, keep up the amazing work! 🙌🏾💯
“and emotionally stunted adults” i- i can’t 😂😭💀
I’ve been binge watching your series and I appreciate how open minded you are. I wish more people were open minded like you Anthony :)
I agree! Play is so so important. When I was little I wanted to be a trapeze lady. Now as an adult I’ve been using yoga trapeze and aerial silks to reunite with my childhood dreams. It’s so fun, I get lost for hours in ‘play’
The hispanic dude seems like a really chill person that would be a great friend. You should keep doing interviews with pros at hobbies like these, maybe do an episode with pro cubers? You should definitely interview @Jperm

I love this soooo much! I’ve always fingerboarded but never did take it seriously until quarantine. I finally bought a pro set up. Stoked to see where the sport is going🤙🏽
Hey anthony, i just wanna tell you about a very niche group of people: speedcubers. We are people who try and solve the rubiks cube as fast as possible (official world record is 3.47 seconds). It may be a fun group to look into interviewing :)
This is the coolest and uncoolest job I’ve ever seen
Someone is gonna break that kickflip record in like 2 days with something crazy like 45+ I just know it.
I would love to see an I spent a day with pro yoyo players episode, like fingerboarding it is a pretty niche community and I do believe it'd be cool to have it on the site, you can interview absolute legends like Gentry Stein, Rei Iwakura, Steve Brown(who invented freehand style), Jensen Kimmitt An Connoly, and many others, There's several styles of play, different companies different shapes, and like fingerboarding it's a tool of expression and it feels awesome to learn. I think if you explore the world of yoyo you'll find some love for it is really cool.
Woah, this was an amazing video ! Stoked to see more light shine on fingerboarding !
Back in High School everybody had those and it's insane how clumsy and not being able to do proper tricks everyone was. It's really not easy and looks so awesome when you see ppl who are skilled.
Love that Mike is pretty much the fingerboarding Tony Hawk lmao
Holy shit I suggested this such long time ago and now he finally did it. Nice to see it man.
whats funny is that skateboarding and action sports were all seen as stupid, nonsense, a waste of time. But theses type of artistic sports are, well artistic, and are respected by enough people. legitimacy is determined by the people, we can make anything we want legitimate, and I appreciate the legitimacy of all board sports. It really brings more love and light to these arts.
My favorite part about fingerboarding is the artistic expression it has similar to skateboarding, but easier! You can construct a skatepark out of real wood, metal and concrete for a highly detailed miniature train like experience, or just a bunch of random household objects and office supplies to get that 6th grade nostalgia going. Fingerboards are so much smaller and easier to make that doing fun graphics, colored wood plys, and funky shapes it’s a wonderland of creativity.
NO WAY I'VE NEVER THOUGHT YOU'D MADE ONE OF THESE
You should do “spending a day with maladaptive daydreamers”

Thank you for the publicity of our hobby!!
Yo thanks for actually putting a video out about this I’ve been a fingerboarder for about 10-11 years now so thanks for checking in to it
You should have an interview with literal rocket scientists or someone from NASA, if you haven't already. Could be fun
I second this 👌🏻
I imagine it'd be a little hard to get in touch with them
I was friends with a couple who were rocket scientists, sadly after the husband passed away the wife moved to be closer to her daughter, so we aren't in touch as much. They were lovely, kind, funny people, they were a lot weirder than I expected, I had a stereotype of nerdy science people in mind, not reality. I think it would be a great group of people to focus on.

@Zataya Jenkins @Petalmist @Roozyj Hi guys!! Thank you so SO much for the reminder!! 💚💚 I did a lot of stuff today, school, getting vaccinated with the russian vaccine, homework, cleaning, then I got the side effects but now I'm better, so I watched the video and It's a really good one!! I love when Anthony tries people's hobbies/professions to learn how it feels being in their shoes, it's something that really shows how open minded and empathetic he is and also proof how much passion and hardwork people put in their things. Also he got really good people to interview, I think I learnt very healthy lessons out of it. Allowing yourself to play and do stuff you like without thinking if it is a "grown up" thing is something that can bring so much joy!! I experience this drawing, watching cartoons and playing videogames, it's really good for the mind just to disconnect and do something fun. Like I said, this is a really good video and I think a lot of people need to learn to be free and do things cause they like it, not because how much money or things you can make with it. And lastly I think I understand the amazing world of fingerboarding just a little bit more ;)
I love how happy this little sport makes them. It genuinely calms them down and can bring them comfort during hard times. I feel inspired to have my own fun, playful, hobby. A lot of things in my life stress me out, including some of my hobbies, and I want to try to be more like these people. They're just having fun with life.
Go for it! No matter what your small fun hobby is people will try to demean it, say it’s a waste of time and you’re just an adult who can’t grow up. Don’t listen to them they’re just stuck in this idea that being an adult can’t be anything else but work, sex, drugs and cynicism.
I can't believe I just randomly came across your channel. You are so empathetic and personable. Would love to meet you to do an interview on you from past videos. Think it would be a great watch for your channel x
The noise annoyed my parent so much…haha memories.

Dmn wow my perceptive has been widen! I came in first to the video thinking "huh??" but came out feeling so happy Cuz just seeing them so enthusiastic about fingerboarding makes me happy too And i love that Anthony brought up about how we loose the concept of playing as we age It's a difficult time that im going thru now and i would love to incorporate some "play time" in my daily routine :D Also I've been scared to grow older cuz I wanna stay young but I love what Mike said and it made me realise I don't have to be afraid to get older if I do stuff that I enjoy and make me "feel" young I really never thought this video would showed me so much messages but I'm glad I clicked on it Great and amazing video as always Anthony!!
Started fingerboarding about 3 years ago, and I can say that it is one of my favorite pass time/hobbies I've ever picked up...
This is incredible! I had no idea this was a thing. These guys are so so skilled. My husband just told me that these eventually got banned at his school, but they found a way to make their own finger skateboards out of layers of paper, sand paper and other materials to create the wheels etc. Love the creativity!
i thought this was a joke but this is so cute idk i love these people i didn't know this was a thing
Amazing . This was so good for our community. Thank you 💕
Anthony, since you're talking about "play" as adults, you should consider talking to LARPers! That's basically a whole hobby and community based on immersion and play

You could have spent a day with pro artists, musicians, dancers, athletes, gamers even! That’s why this channel has such a special place in my heart❤️ keep doing the thing dude!
I'm not into fingerboarding now, but I was when I was a kid, and one thing I remember well is that Mike was the shit, he had a youtube channel and a small company that made decks, it truly motivated me to grab a board and start doing tricks. Its incredible to see how far him and the community have come

Fingerboarding is super frustating and hard in the beginning because you never practise the fine and precise motions with your fingers. A lot of people give up trying to Ollie after a minute. Once you get kickflips down everything becomes a lot easier and more enjoyable.
That was so much fun to watch and super impressive. My husband and I used to try finger boarding. My husband got decent at it. I don't have the hand eye coordination for it, but I enjoy watching it!
Me at 1:45 🕺 Aww yisss
Damn! That's some talent right there
Still have my wooden fingerboard next to me from when I was 14. Lots of fun was had with this thing. Usually it was used for fidgeting when waiting in videogame lobbys or watching videos.
I completely agree I play videos games and honestly I’ve gotten bored of it for the most part unless there’s like a new game that’s coming out (Mass Effect LE) but the best thing I’ve ever done is pick up a guitar and it’s made feel so much better as a person and made me feel like I can let go of certain emotions through it which is why I’d hope if you can get like KZhead guitarist or bassists or drummers of any kind would be amazing. Thank you Anthony!
