I watched this video at the age of 15, when it released, and it sparked an obsession in me with the c4 corvette. One year later, commenting on this video I am the proud owner of a 1994 c4 corvette with the manual transmission. Dreams can come true guys, all it takes is a bunch of hard work and diligent saving!

The 350Z is my first car and I'm still driving it today. Great car, fun to drive and it never got to be repaired. Not even once. I'm very impressed.
Does it snow where you live by chance? I live in the Midwest and would love to get a 350z but it would be my daily and we do get some snow out here.

Is your 350z Manual or automatic? Not auto shaming here, I am just curious. I typically only drive manual just because it means fewer trips to the shop, but that's not always accurate.

@@OGPea I drive a 1999 Mustang GT, my dad's been driving a 2001 Mustang GT since 2001, we live in Canada. Deep snow, slush, ice, black ice, rivers when it melts, etc. Never drove a 350z, but you can drive anything in snow. I got a boy who drives an NA miata year-round. The only thing is if they salt the roads it'll obviously eat away at your car. I have 2 New Edge's and thinking about getting a third, because I'd like to keep one my entire life and that's not possible driving year-round in Canada, so I keep one stored.

When I was a senior in High School back in 2003, my Dad got a new Lincoln LS that had a factory 8 inch subwoofer in that. I used to take it when he was outta town and RAG that V8 out. Caught air in it once. lol

I was expecting something like this. And then my dad handed me the keys to his z71 2011 suburban with every comfort and appearance upgrade they offer. Still so grateful, I dont care that I get 11mpg feels like a driving couch and I can haul my friends and a few hobos we pick up along the way as well as all the luggage. Also, I know for a fact, if I ever do get into a crash, I'm not the one getting hurt
I know Americans are not very familiar with the car cult of old Europe, but driving an ocean liner as your first car is torture. If you want to get around comfortably with a few friends and be safe, take the train. Cars are made to feel the adrenaline as you drive on the limit and risk crashing, but that's the beauty of it, and that's the only reason why you do it. Get an old Yaris or some other wreck instead: you spend a lot less, pollute a lot less and have a lot more fun Edit.: I would also add that the Suburban is likely to be petrol-powered, which is a crime against humanity for vehicles of this kind: they are made to be propelled by a diesel engine, so that you can at least feel the power of the turbocharger; and the automatic gearbox is another thing that should never exist in a first car, but I know Americans do not particularly like automatic or sequential gearboxes

Ya, I don't like it. The beard was literally part of his identity.
My first car was a 95 sn95 with the 5.0. I but bigger cams, headers, intake, coil packs, MSD distributor, straight pipe with a single car out through the drive and passenger front wheels. Made just about 400 hp and was the best car I have ever owned
I got mine, a faded red 1994 5.0 5spd, it got broken into and I lost interest in it, I should probably try to get back into it
Without knowing it this video picked out my exact first car: a 2004 330ci. And yes, it lives up to all expectations. Highly recommend and thank you Donut for aligning the stars to make my first car my favorite car

I started driving first car (a 2003 civic si) a bit over a year ago, and I absolutely love it. Sure everything that you'll ever need to fix is all crammed into a very small space, but repairs are few and far between. Also vtec
As an sn95 owner, I SAY THAT ITS GREAT FIRST CAR!!! It has its weird quirks like the gas kill switch in the trunk, the HEAVY ass clutch (compared to bmws, MB, etc) and etc. The car is pretty slow but it’s pretty easy to make orettt fast !! It also does burnouts and drifts very very easily too!

I didn't have a car till I was 19. I had saved up a tiny bit of money but I spent it on a guitar and amp, because my buddy had a 70 Chevelle for his first car. I would rather sit as a passenger in his car than most cars I could afford. I did finally get a 1996 Dodge Intrepid (3.0 V6). Had it for about 8 years, it was pretty fun (for me), but I don't recommend anyone own one longer than 4 years, because the suspension goes to trash and replacing it will cost about half what the car is worth.
Just started driving my dad's old 99 Jetta VR6 after getting my license, we did a bunch of work to get it running and I love it

I got my GT86 a few days ago. Very happy with it. Reliable fun at reasonable speeds with cheap tyres and brakes. Also great fuel economy for a sports car, not to mention the fantastic looks and massive aftermarket. Highly recommended 10/10 would buy again. I know they can be a bit pricey for a first car but if you can afford it, you can't go wrong with a BRZ or a 86

My first car was a Black 2013 Suziki Swift Sport. Was deam fun in corners. And you had to work the gears to go fast. Fun gokart. And cheep to maintain.

Amen to the Volvo! My first car was a 1984 Volvo 760 and I swapped a 1989 Mustang 302 into it and ran it for 10 years. The Dana 44 rear end handled it like a champ.

First car was an '88 Ford Ranger. I loved that truck so much.
"Buy a 2004 BMW 330ci". I laughed so hard because that is the exact car I have. Also the 330ci is actually pretty fast got her up to 125mph today no problem and probably could of gone faster. Overall great car, reliable, fast, stylish and most importantly cheap.

My first car was a 94 accord... totaled it twice and it still ran great. Love that car..
Had a 75 accord for my first car back in 1995 and that thing had 300k miles on it when I sold it to a guy down the street. He used it to get back and forth to the local steel mill. He put another 60k on it before the engine quit on it, the floor boards had pretty much rusted through at that point, but the engine was a beast that would not die.

my parent had bought me an accord as my first car and i have to say that it isnt fast but you can still have fun with it. I got it before I was into cars but as soon as i started driving, i realized that I have a passion for it. Not only that but if you know how to drive it well then some people would think you have a turbo even though its stock.
I currently have an 08 mazda3 hatch 2.3 5spd. And and 06 TL 6spd. I love them both. Very practical and fun to drive. Reliable and cheap to own. Both great first cars.

I got a c4 corvette and its cheap to insure because its antique and still has airbags
As a e46 owner (although i have a 325ci) I cannot stress enough how fun they are to drive, just make sure your subframe mounts are in check and make sure you do a cooling system overhaul and it'll take anything you throw at it

I just got myself a 2020 nissan versa sv. i'm a toyota person but i def dropped the gun too fast at the lot and it’s what i ended up leaving the lot with, LOL but I am grateful. This car ended up being so perfect for me. All glory to god! i have videos of my car on my channel too, videos about the process of getting my car, decorating my car etc! love watching these type of videos.

I'd never really consider myself much of a car guy. Regardless, I love all the Donut Media videos and it certainly is a great time to experience people's passion for cars. As for first cars my family got me a 1997 Ford Thunderbird as my first. In fact, I still own it and drive it. I haven't a single idea if it's a good car, but my goodness do I absolutely love it. May be in that same vein as the Mustang.

Don’t forget about insurance on a c4 if it’s your first car after you get your license insurance can be up to 400-500$ a month
C5 vette, 1997-2004. Around 9k+. C4s are just like 3rd gen Camaros. It's obvious to just not buy those. Very ugly and weak
@@spinnmotion9704 Not true. Title would only say "1996 Chevrolet". Old car. Cheap insurance. Insurance companies don't really charge based on what it is if it's old. If you tell them how much you paid or the miles, then you messed up. If you're making payments, you basically have no choice but to pay full coverage. Most of the time, it's required. When you're getting insurance on an old car say like a 79 Camaro ("1979 Chevrolet"), just be like "yehh It works sometimes. It's a real beater. Just gonna drive it locally down to barber every couple weeks." On my '68 Pontiac which wasn't even running yet, I told them how much I paid for it and the miles were 38,000, and they were charging me over 300 a month and it wasn't even full coverage. Big mistake.

Well here we are, been watching for a few years now and boys, it happened, I bought my first car, it’s a 1988 Toyota supra. It’s an automatic and is n/a but for what I paid for was definitely worth it. Obviously it’s not the smartest choice of a first car I know that already. I just wanted to say thank you donut for getting me in to cars this wouldn’t of happened without you guys.

My 2nd car was I think probably the closest analog of the time, an 85' 300ZX (bought around '96), first car being an 85' Honda CR-X, oh yes, Si (both manual). I would have traded the Z for a Supra in a second though. It is a bit too bad that it's an auto, but you can still have fun with it, and it's still a cool ass car. I say well done son.

My first car was a 1 liter Seat Arosa (prefacelift btw.). The car cost £900, the insurance cost £2500. Madness. Had the little shit lowered so low it bottomed out on potholes. Fails it's not, turned out the whole underside was fucked and dead hahaha.
Insurance for is expensive everywhere in the world. I pay 2600 euros a year for full possible international coverage on 2017 audi s8 and I am 22 years old. Tried to insure my 991 911 GTS in germany and it was like 7000 euros a year and in my country it was 3200 euros a year with even better insurance. So yeah everywhere else is expensive for me.

My mom has an accord 2011 lx I learned to drive in that car I love it handles well never left us stranded never has issues starting even when abused looks good drives great and handles very well I love it comfy and the speakers sound good too :) recommend the accord
1992 Ford Escort Pony manual. Thing was so bare bones didn't even come with passenger side mirror. Parents bought it new and handed down to me. Put over 400k miles on it before it got sold. Won't ever forget the "pony"
Wow!I bought a 2000 escort zx2 5spd manual n every 2 months the master cylinder would go out on me, tho the reason I bought it was cuz of the bullet proof motor. To end the story , once hf a yr went by nd after I put good part in the master cylinder, someone slashed my tires n put water in the gas tank so once I got new tires it blew the head gasket n didn't run on 2,3 cylinders. Rest in peace red zx2. 😢

My 07 EL Eddie Bauer only has 120k but she's a champ. Threw a level kit on it, f150 20s with Wranglers, and an insane sound system. My 04 got up to 140k before it was totaled, my 99 did 250k before I sold it and my 01 did 175k before I sold it
I had a 04 xlt with the 5.4. I totaled it but it was one of the best cars ever.

My first car was a 1973 Chevy Custom 20 3/4 ton truck for under $2000 in 1996. Loved that truck and had to sell it cause it needed a new engine and my health got so bad I couldn’t do work on it myself.
