In my country a regular salary is hardly 500 bucks a month(get a load of that, eh?) but into that same country, 240SXs WERE imported back in the day, and guess the price I have to pay for one here, with my astonishing salary? 12K!!! 12K for a 240sx. Though I know that the prices in every country actually skyrocket daily, imagine not living in a country like the US or something like the Netherlands or Japan, and being a car guy. Imagine having to invest ten times more effort and your life's time into buying an old beat-up entry-level JDM car. Now good luck being a car-enthusiast in 2nd or 3rd world countries... 😀 but seriously, car enthusiasts unite, I am happy for anyone being born anywhere who can afford to live a dream of driving a sports car.

The Miata has amazing handling, it’s got 2 doors and an optional drop top, it’s extremely lightweight and incredibly easy to modify. It’s a sports car, I rest my case.

Z3 is such a fun car to drive, I had a 3.0 liter one for a couple weeks. You can feel the road through the body of the car as it's so compact like driving a go kart.

I loved my 2007 silver Solstice GXP! The cabin was quirky though and it was a very tight fit. I traded it in last year for a 2007 Corvette convertible. Def worth it, but if you want a fun ride for cheap... you can't go wrong with the GXP. PLUS! It is possible to swap the engine out with an LS engine!
Technically you can swap any engine out as long as it fits in the bay don't have to ls swap the world

I own and daily a RX-8(2006 Shinka) and it's an amazing car all around. If you do your research and find a "good" one you will not regret it. Just make sure you put some good rubber to truly enjoy what it has to offer. They will go up in value over the next decade. P.S. Everyone blames apex seals but its the side seals more prone to failure.

1997 camaro z28 was my first car and I loved it. Although it broke down a few times with some pretty expensive repairs it was the best thing I could have asked for with the budget my parents gave me
The SN95 mustangs are great for this. I bought mine for $2500 a few years ago with 120k and only one owner. She was a highschool teacher and her husband was a farm mechanic, so he obviously knew how to maintain it. He told me since the car was brand new he only used Mobile1 fully synthetic oil. A pretty amazing combination of things made for an amazing combination of reliability and love in that car for the price. Had to drive 2 hours to get it and didn't even haggle on the price. They just wanted to see it go to a good home. All that car needed was a detail and it was good to go. I wasn't a car guy and knew how to work on computers, but not so much cars. I eventually put on some sway bars, redid all the fluids, redid most of the suspension comments and had bigger brakes installed. That car was so fun and I miss it. Also, yes I always used Mobile1 fully synthetic and that engine never did anything but purr until I got rid of it at 180k miles. A lot of people don't like the SN95 but I love the look. Yeah it's a bit boy racer, but it works for me. While some people need out over like the Initial D car for example where a lot of people think it's ugly. The SN95 is that car for me. I'll have to buy another as a project car sometime. With that gigantic engine bay, anyone can learn to work on it. Though it does take a responsible person to own the car because you can get squirrely when it's wet out. I also rented an Audi TT once and really loved that car. The handling of that thing is so nice. If I had to daily a 2 seater, it would be a TT. Those things are sick.

I'd rather have the Pontiac TransAm WS6 than a Camaro Z28, they looked far more aggressive, especially with the RAM AIR scoops on the hood. I actually had a '99 and it was awesome as a daily driver. You should always mention the T/A as a viable alternative to the Camaro when talking about 4th gen or prior.
I mean, I would too but there's a reason Trans Ams go for as much as C4 Corvettes now and that's it lol
I'm old enough (50) to remember when Trans Ams (all generations) were plentiful and cheap. When I was in high school $2K would buy you a good condition good running 2nd Gen. My first was a very fast '78 with a 400 and t-tops. I paid $1500 for it. My second was an '80 that was in excellent condition with a freshly rebuilt Olds Rocket 350 and t-tops. Paid $2500 for it. Same car today is probably $25,000. You can still find some decent 3rd and 4th generation TA's for under $15K but they're getting harder to find.
@@nicolasa.3192 the only reason 4th Gen Trans Ams haven't caught up with 1st and 2nd Gen prices yet is because collectors haven't fully looked that way yet. I stress yet. In a few more years they'll be ridiculously expensive like the 2nd gens are now. Get one while you can
Just a quick thing on the rx8, while unreliable but fun. Was not solely a manual. Now the series 2(09-11) was only a 6 port motor paired to a 6sp maual. In series 1 there was a 4 port woth either a 4spd at or a 5spd mt. And the 6 port came woth the 6 spd mt or a 6spd at. Great video tho
Rx8s also came in automatic. I am dying to get a manual Rx8. I currently own a mazda Cx7 which looks almost the same from the front
Another good daily cars are 2 that I personally own or owned - Acura TL type s and Hyundai Veloster turbo.
Uhhhh the RX8 were offered with a 4 speed automatic in the early years and a 6 speed auto later
Also the 4th Gen Mustang never had a Coyote 5.0l like the clip at 6.06 slightly suggests.
Maybe he meant the only rx8 you should buy is a 6 speed. Unless you are buying an auto to manual swap it

I have owned 2 cars on this list (97 z28 Camaro and currently own 2001 Mustang Bullitt with a procharger) both great daily driver fun cars. If I was to buy another car from the list, it would be the 350/370 Z Car. But the one you missed that I would buy first...another Z car the 300ZX
The 4.6 new edge mustang is amazing. I still have my first one. The engine lasted 360,000 miles until the tranny gave out. Throw some quality coilovers and 285s in the back and you have a great handling car. All while getting 24 mpg on the freeway. Dont get the auto transmission its a slush box.
would not recommend RX8 for daily because of the rotary fun car but those engines are unpredictable and require a lot of maintenance

The 335i should’ve been on this list. 300 horsepower, cheap, great tuning platform, came in a sedan at one point, great trunk space. Reliability and gas mileage are a bit hit-or-miss though

@@bo55hau I have en e92. Your statement makes no sense. E90/91/92/93 all have N54s from 2010 and before. So how exactly is the the coupe model specifically less reliable than the others?
N54 is an absolute beast. Strong as hell, just needs to be taken care of. My 07 e92 is my daily right now, but I’m on fbo E40 and such, I find myself at the gas station too often for my liking. I wouldn’t suggest buying an N54 unless you turn wrenches or have connections. Tryna find a new daily driver rn :/

I like the consistency between videos, in one you mention to AVOID RX8, and in this one it is a daily driver.
The Pontiac Solstice also sold as the Saturn sky, the Third Generation Opel GT, and the Daewoo G2S.
I would also add on the Mitsubishi Eclipse (2G and 3G). Very cheap and reliable, look good, motor is very moddable
The 3G isn't really moddable, is it? I mean, you can mount a 4G63 in it since the GS (3G) shares the same or similar mounts but its really expensive as shit. I'd probably do that to mine if it wasn't all rusted to shit.

7:18 used to have an rx7, it was fun while it lasted, but it just sat around because the tabs became expired and we never renewed them.
rx8 is the best option if you have extra cash for an engine swap, k series, ls swap or a 1jz vvti is prefect.
My RX-8 was a manual, but they did come in AT too. The AT was downrated in HP. But it was still available in the US.

Camaro on the list!! I have a 97 z28 port/polish heads & intake manifold, long tube headers and a few other free mods :) and for something with more space I have a Stratus with a 2.4T Srt4 motor ;)
As an 86 owner I’m blown away to not the frs/brz/86 twins here , 205 hp and rwd with the best looks imo
Actually, the RX-8 also had options for a 5 speed manual, a 4 speed automatic, and a 6 speed automatic, though the 6 speed manuals are the most common and the automatics have less horsepower
The automatics have a whole plethora of downgrades on the RX-8, not just losing 40 BHP.

I see that you added the Solstice GXP and Sky Redline! They are one of my most favorite sport cars on the cheap. The Solstice will be easier to find over the Redline. I like the look of the Solstice over the Sky. Because the Sky has the look of a mini Corvette and if I wanted the Corvette look, I would just get a Corvette! Solstice is very unique looking and you will not mistake it for anything else! Just thought of another car to add. The Crossfire especially the SRT6. Only thing I don’t like about the SRT6 is you can’t get it with a manual! While you can get a base with a manual. How stupid is that!
Another very reliable acura/honda are the 07-08 TLs mine pushes 268 to the wheel stock and theyre amazing 6 cylinder vtec engine

you missed the frickin amazing car, the toyota's spiritual successor to the ae 86, the gt 86 and brz{ not the new one, that's a gr, which is a pain because it destroyed the idea of a cheap, soft engined, affordable, reliable Japanese small car that you can drive to the college and take drifting and also do amazing lap times.

@@derrickkmartin4037 Yes I am, and and Ferrari's are the most reliable in Italy 🇮🇹, Aston Martin, and Lotus in Britain 🇬🇧 (I know 2004 Elise, though American 🇺🇸 it is the 5.0, and a proper 6 speed manual transmission. PP2 with Brembo Breaks and the Magneride Suspension, doesn't lean on hard cornering or, dip in hard breaking. ( Like putting 2 positive facing magnets 🧲 together you just can't, and won't bottom out either.
