The Markstrom save at 6-5 in the 3rd is honestly a turning point, Lindholm made it 7-5 after and I felt the Oilers absolutely depleted since then.

To be completely fair to Koskinen and Smith, the Oilers could’ve had Shesterkin in net and the Flames still would’ve put up 6. Goalie can only do so much when every other shot is a breakaway or one-timer.

I didn't watch the game though so the standard of interference changes game to game, typically in a BOA game they don't call anything like that, but nonetheless it is most certainly a penalty. The goaltender change exposed the actual problem with the Oilers, and if anything, all of Smith's goals could've been stopped while Koskinen was hung out to dry by the defense.

Just think about it the oilers will give 74 millions to nurse for 8 years that as to be the worse contract in the NHL. Dont think i ever seen such a bad game played by any defensive group. Bouchard and Ceci were really bad as well, Barrie was the best d-man let that sink in. Of course some LOiLers fan will blame the refs and koski/Smith for that debacle.

Very entertaining game, wow. Atrocious defending by both teams at times, but oh well: works out for the spectators. They split the season 2-2, and perhaps we’ll see them vs each other in the playoffs. One can hope 🤞
The Markstrom save at 6-5 in the 3rd is honestly a turning point, Lindholm made it 7-5 after and I felt the Oilers absolutely depleted since then.

I didn't watch the game though so the standard of interference changes game to game, typically in a BOA game they don't call anything like that, but nonetheless it is most certainly a penalty. The goaltender change exposed the actual problem with the Oilers, and if anything, all of Smith's goals could've been stopped while Koskinen was hung out to dry by the defense.

I was just watching the Canucks-Stars highlight before this one. It's almost as if they are in different leagues.
Very entertaining game, wow. Atrocious defending by both teams at times, but oh well: works out for the spectators. They split the season 2-2, and perhaps we’ll see them vs each other in the playoffs. One can hope 🤞
