Some of the people in the live chat are complete a-holes. This was five years ago. Colby was probably 22,23 years old. A lot of people get help from their parents around that age still. Tylee was getting money from her dad passing and wanted to help her brother who had two kids. This poor guy lost his mom, his dad and his siblings and all you can do is hate on him for getting money from his family? I’m glad your finances were perfect at 23 years old. Show some respect!

I've helped my older brother financially and I used to help my Mom before she passed away. Sometimes people are down on their luck and it shows more about the quality of Tylee's character and how much she loved her big brother than it shows anything negative about Colby.
I still help my kids in their 40's sometimes... it's called family.....

I was happy to find out that he and his wife are together again and expecting their third child.
That was beautiful, Colby. He still refers to Tylee and JJ in the present tense. It was lovely to hear him say that JJ IS his brother, not WAS his brother, and the same for Tylee. Not even death can sever that connection. Chad took his entire family away because of lust and greed. Colby deserves justice for his lost siblings, and im praying he gets it.❤

I cannot imagine how much pain and trauma it would cause for someone to lose their father, sister, and brother because your mother and uncle murdered them for money. Colby lost his entire immediate family due to Chad and Lori's greed and lust. I really hope that he's been able to find peace and healing. I also hope that Chad spending the rest of his miserable life in prison brings some healing to Colby.

In cultures where people are encouraged to marry in their late teens, and to start having children immediately, it is also expected that those young people will receive help from their parents. Not that the parents always fulfill that obligation ! Lori’s misuse, and then her outright theft, of Tylee’s Social Security benefit, was utterly despicable.
Chad planted a real negative seed in the minds of his children about Colby. Big awakening for them today.

Joe Ryan & Charles Vallow were great father's & Chad Daybell wasnt yet his kids think he is innocent. Lori's previous exes missed her killing spree along with Alex's wife. Sheesh Charles went to Gilbert police informing them Lori was going to kill him & she did but didnt get that $1 mill. Tylee knew too much. This story is so sad. Colby is blessed to be alive along with Brandon. Brandon identified JJ for the Woodcocks which was so decent a thing to do.💔🙏💔
I agree with you! I think Joe Ryan was not abusing the children at all. Not saying Colby wasn’t truthful but I believe his relationship with his mom overtook his reasoning and he said what she wanted him to say. I know that Charles loved both Colby and Tylee, and tried to do his best for the family.
I know people have made a big deal about Charles not continuing to contribute to the older 2 but Tylee also had insurance and a SS death benefit from her father Joe. Colby was married, went to college and started his own family. I think he didn’t set up anything for his adult sons because he expected JJ to have continued needs for life. JJ he had a particularly special bond with. I doubt he ever dreamed that she would take her children’s lives, only himself.
Can wait for juror’s book from crazy Loris trial comes out. He’s had to wait til this trial is over

There's one question I have that we'll never know the answer to: Why didn't Chad mark his children & have them killed also? Why just Lori's children? Chad had no problem wiping out an entire family of Colby's. That is one cold hearted person. Colby has had to relive this nightmare while trying to heal. Chad's children are like Colby meaning they did NOT live with him. There is an interview where his children talk about his case. They all look to be adults and his daughter was pregnant. When they gave a tour of Chad's house the way they talked implied they did not live there. "Garth Daybell age 27, Emma Daybell Murray age 26, Seth Daybell age 24, Leah Daybell Murphy age 21, and, Mark Daybell."
It a sin to murder, cheat, lie, this couple are not insane, they just wanted the monies and sex . Most Pastors, do this with their people at church. It is a must for all churches to be taxed, that way they are not into riches and sex. Too many divorces are in most small or large churches. Sin, is not this couple main issue. They both loved sex and money.

I think they’re trying to build a certain foundation and they may have a strategy up their sleeves (at least, I hope). But jeez I have no idea where they’re going with it lol. As of right now it seems like they’re dropping the ball by not bringing up Chad. I’m worried it could create reasonable doubt. Luckily the defense isn’t doing great either so there’s still hope. A lot of physical evidence is stacked against Chad. If Lori could be found guilty on circumstantial evidence, it’s not looking good for Chad.

Tylee was murdered first for her money. Such an evil mother. Chad probably paid Alex. Or Chad & Lori knew once Tylee was dead they had access to her money to pay Alex for higher for murder. I think both Alex & Lori both murdered JJ.
Also she knew too much regarding Alex killing Charles. It was planned. Alex was convinced by Chad who told him he had to protect/defend Lori in every capacity since God had appointed him to and also Alex seemed to always do the bidding of Lori. She could tell him anything and he would believe it. Alex made good money working so money wasn't his motive. He believed what Chad and Lori told him needed to be done and that he was a man of God and the things he did were his mission. At the very end before he died he told Zulema he thought they were going to make him the fall guy. He finally told her either he was a man of God or he wasn't. I almost feel he ended his life due to doubts and remorse about what he had done. Alex had a brain injury that may have played into why he was so gullible, incapable of doing their evil deeds without help etc.. If he had lived he would have been a broken man in my opinion. He had started to realize he had just been used to help them commit horrendous evil. All that lunatic stuff about zombies had taken over the bodies of the children is something Chad and Lori fed him. He wasn't just a murderer but a victim as well.

My heart hurts for Colby. He has suffered so much loss and craziness in his life. No one should have to endure so much. He is incredibly strong, brave, and caring. The love and grief he feels for JJ and Tylee are palpable. I hope he is able to go on and live a good life once all this is resolved and the 2 evil monsters are rotting in prison.

I worked several years with the mentally ill in a "Bible belt" state. I was really taken aback how often religious themes fed into ppl's delusions and psychosis. May just be me, but I feel like the world would be a better place if we all focused on the world that exists in front of us, instead of filling folks with so many ideas and anxieties about the "afterlife".

Everyone in the comments attacking Colby because his sister was loaning him money first it’s none of anyones business I also help my brother who has two kids & a wife I help him financially more than I ever had during covid & his finances are absolutely irrelevant to the murder of his sister brother & step dad Charles seemed genuinely concerned for not only jj but Tylee even when Lori flees she cleans out the bank account & takes off with jj & tylee and his truck he tells the police he was afraid for his children’s lives he was afraid she would harm Tylee & jj im going to go ahead & say Charles was a good step dad Colby refers to him as his dad says they had a good relationship his finances have nothing to do with the murder of his family stop focusing on that isn’t important at all & he says he would ask his mom for money not Tylee she only acted as the middle man so relax
I watch Court Tv everyday wish there weren't so many breaks and sound loss but I am watching

Prosecutors are so smart.they know the defense is going to try to discredit Colby Ryan as a loser for borrowing money etc so they address it first.They(prosecutors) ask first!!! Very normal for siblings that struggle lend money to each other.Colby is heartbroken! He is forever scared! 😢
My heart breaks for Colby. As a mum, I just want to give him a big hug 😢 I sincerely hope he has some help/support to process this. And I pray he has a good life with his own children 🙏 ❤️

I dont think Chad influenced her at all. She was like that before meeting him, she just found her pb to her jelly im my opinion
