The amount of rear end squat in the Cadillac is comically awesome. Even during the roll race it looks like the truck is trying to pull the front wheels off the ground.

I knew the Durango was gonna SCOOT!! But that Escalade is pretty damn fast for how big it is. I never knew they came with a 6.2L Supercharged!! They both nice, roomy & fast as hell!!😍

@@pleappleappleap the same motor can potentially make 808 hp in the Demon, but only with major equipment and fuel. The mild differences of suspension stiffness, cg, tires, and Dodges ZF transmission make up all the difference

Until this last year, now we have the Copo Camaro with the 572 or the 632 (start at $109,899 and $134,799) the 632 makes 1004hp to the rear wheels and runs a 8 second 1/4mile. It’s not just running like 8.9x and them calling it a 8 second car, the thing runs deep into the 8s between 8.35-8.6x

@@mediocreman2 the car rpm gears lowering down from 6 - 1 the car exhaust setup is loud so it’s more aggressive loud whenever braking or paddle shifting down

I knew the escalade would be a lot slower but I'd still pick it over the Durango. I love Mopar but that escalade looks so much nicer, sounds better, and it's probably a nicer ride being more luxury than the Durango.

There is no loser with these two. It's just two of the best examples of simply glorious, loud, no-excuse American excess, and it's wonderful. The Durango, loaded up with passengers was STILL fast, wasn't expecting that at all. I have a feeling Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealerships should be thanking you...they are likely going to clear out their inventories of those now because of you guys...lol! @@mdubz101 no, everyone including dodge is paying up the ass for the old header design, everything is on a 4 bolt now, and they are giving a $50 credit on each casting using the 4 bolt. That’s the issue with FCA’s 3.6 lower intake shooting oil, the 4 bolt casting was second hand, hence why it died:

There isn't that much of a difference in power and weight but it's apparent that 1 was tuned for "luxury" while the other 1 is just unapologetic.

It was very interesting to see another race with a car load of people and was a great idea! i truly thought it was going to make a bigger difference! There's so much talk in racing about weight and was so interesting to see it doesn't always matter. Seeing the people laughing in the back seat because they won was funny too.

I had a 392 Durango a couple years ago and it was an absolute blast for a big full size suv
I liked the bit with filling up the car with people to make it heavier for a fair race. It was clever and entertaining and I bet we’ll see that on other channels too now
The Caddy would be a great alternative if it was close in price, nicer interiors do not cost 24-30000 more.
Well it’s a larger vehicle . Escalade is in a different size class than the Durango as well it’s also a luxury SUV
And trust me the last Durango will have a market adjustment
I'm not necessarily justifying the price of an Escalade/V, but remember this. The Escalade is in an entirely different, much larger size segment of SUV's, plus its also a luxury SUV which additionally competes in a seperated "Luxury class" within that segement of SUV's. On top of all that, in this case being an Escalade V, it's also a performance variant with a supercharged V8 under the hood as well. This isn't quite like the Durango Hellcat, which is a smaller, non-luxury SUV, containing half the features, with a Hellcat engine shoved into it, all of which is then running on a reasonably outdated platform as well. There's quite a few key differences between the two.

Love this race! Even with an extra 5 adults the Durango spanked the Caddy, crazy. From the times I’ve seen posted by the Caddy a better race would be against the Durango SRT with the N/A 6.4 hemi. Keep being awesome!

My mom has the 392 durango and that thing is fun. She was getting rid of an x3 xdrive35i and said she wanted a bit more space and personality and I pointed her in the durangos direction. She's 61 lol. Would love to get one of the hellcats. That supercharger whine makes me giggle.

Everyone would but 150k is a lot of coin.
I love the new gen's of Tahoe's, Yukon's and Esclade's but for $150K is an absurd price. You can get any of the GM's with the 6.2 add the supercharger, proper exhaust and a full tune then you'll end up with 700+hp. You will be faster than this Escalade and save $55,000 easily. You could even get Hennessy to install a stage 4-5 and once again save $35,000. All these prices of the GM vehicles are base models, with limited options and, a price tag of $70,000. I work on these every week(autobody technician and painter) and see the window stickers. That Durango was crazy fast. The color was undesirable imo.
