Hello Thomas and James, I am from India and almost none of the cars that feature on your channel are available on road for us people here but I still love watching your videos because of two reas... No three... No fo... No! A lot of reasons and the greatest of them being the chemistry between the both of you. I usually see a lot of comments saying you guys are the closest thing that comes to the top gear of old but here in India we never got to see top gear or any other well renowned car review programs while growing up. I just want you two to know that for people like me, you two and this channel will be the scale at which we measure car enthusiasts channels forever! Thomas says he doesn't understand why manufacturers keep dropping this power into suvs. It's because people don't want cars, but they still want sport. If they're going to kill off the sedans, they have to put the power elsewhere. I wish they'd keep making this vehicle. It's flat amazing.

I don't rate Car Throttle. They're too try hard and just come off as being rubbish. I don't think they actually have any proper car knowledge between them, and their buying decisions are truly appalling. Throttle House is in a completely different league; as good as, possibly even better than Clarkson, Hammond, and May.

Urus is for the sort of people who know nothing about cars but want a LAMBBORGHINI by getting inspired from Raps and Hip Hops ,except all the want is something bigger ,bulkier , with 5 seats ( ugly I mean ) ! They just want a show off toy , when they realize that it's just a frickin vw toureg crossover ! While the durango is based on the mercedes benz ML class ,a true SUV monocoque ! If I ever needed a LAMBO ,it would be a real thing like the aventador LP770-4 SVJ!

Quicker off the line does not equal faster... but yes, clearly all wheel drive makes a big difference in launching from a standstill.

@@futurepharmdman 100 this. The Durango yanks HARD (it’s quick) but going against any of the others on a prepped surface or even a roll and 116mph trap speeds will get you gapped hard.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Many performance utilities try to be sports cars but of course they are limited by the fact that physics prevents them from being full sports cars. Dodge instead made the dumbest thing they could and as such, it ranks supreme.

I think that was the best video/review yet I've seen for the Durango Hellcat! I have a 2019 Durango GT in Destroyer Grey with the Blacktop package. It comes close enough to almost "look" the part.. I can only dream of affording one of those. I would get one in a second if I could. The closest I'd be able to get would be a R/T with the Tow and Go package (looks like the SRT).. thanks!

Stellantis 🧐 Seriously though, most of the "problems" everyone claims they're plauged with aren't any worse than what the die hards actually deal with from the other brands. Plus they have seriously upped their interior game for those that aren't in the know on what the Chrysler/Dodge mission was to begin with.

I just went from an 86 to a widebody challenger scat pack, and yeah any interior would be borderline ultra luxury compared to the 86 interior but the quality is really nice (granted the plus package gets me leather basically everywhere) and the build quality is good. I think people just love to complain...
@@RS3NDIT I mean sure, they had a rough history with such, but that's changed. One way to look at it, The WK2 (current gen Grand Cherokee) is being driven en mass and awarded for a reason. Fans will always be fans though. It's usually the few that actually go give it a real in person look that get it, and even convert in some cases.

I still get comments about going from a Toyota to a dodge and everyone’s always asking me like, oh how is it knowing everything’s gonna break? It’s just funny to me. I think people also don’t value their cars so they don’t give them the care they deserve...and any car will break quickly if you leave it uncared for. Honestly, I never thought I’d buy an American car because of the quality issues I’d heard so much about, but I’ve always loved the challenger and the test drive sold me. You’re absolutely right, it just takes a little bit of faith to go check a car out and they’re a lot better than the “car people” on the internet would have you believe

11:57 - Something about Thomas' "Whoow" compelled me to play it on repeat a few times. Now onto the car. This Durango looks serious and aggressive form the front, then proceeds to turn into a mom van in the back. It is overall a flexer's car. You don't buy this for the utility. You buy it so you can park it infront of your friends and yell "Look what i got!" You buy it so you can aggressively rev it at the stop sign. You buy it so you can fill your entire social medias with pictures of it. But then again, it is an SUV made for the americans, by the americans.
