How to pronounce Russian R | Part 1 | Two most effective ways
I’m going to explain how Russian speech therapists learn to pronounce the sound [R]. There are two effective ways in this video. And they really work.
Just keep doing these exercises and I’m sure you’ll eventually master your Russian [R].

The clicking exercise gave me a lot of help figuring out tongue position, thank you very much for that!
This helped me a lot. I can now do it when there's a vowel before the P, but I still struggle to do it with words that begin with P

How long did it took? I try it now 4 years and it doesnt works. Till just now as I saw this clip, all who try to teach me did it on an other way. Or to say it on the other way: Im born by greek parents and evan them failed teaching me, the R is same way spoken.
@@MMAptou About three days after watching this video. I followed method #1 Mushroom(1:43) and that works for me. By the way I am Taiwanese specking Mandarin, zero European languages background. If I can learn to pronounce P, you definitely can. Keep trying :))

I don't hear this sound from a lot of Russian youtubers . There is one singer in Red Square during a concert of the stars event who does it during the national anthem and there is a woman short red hair , teal dress on a hill, she really rolls the character as she sings the national anthem .

Hello! I’m curious if you’re still active. If so I have a question. I’ve been trying for days but nothing, I can occasionally get my tongue to vibrate but nothing more.
I've made the sounds quite similar but I have no idea it's exactly correct because I didn't see my tongue moves back and forth like others.
I think ur making an r with your throat its a lot easier but wrong
@@FloweisPowerrr Well, it might be because I get used to French R ( I know how to pronounce voiced and unvoiced R in French or X in Spanish). But my situation is complicated than that because the R in my mother tongue is similar to R in Russian (the same articulation except the vibration of our tongues is optimal). That's why my parents or others can make identical trilled R but I can't

i can make my tounge vibrate to produce just the P but as soon as i want to add a letter before or after i fail.

I have now learned how to roll the R, now I'm noticing that it's not rolled all the time in Russian. Is there a good rule to go by for knowing when it's rolled and when it isn't?
it might be not that evident when you listen, but the sound is more or less the same. It's indeed not as long as what you get while exercising, but it's ok if you pronounce it long, it'll become easier to pronounce it soon and you won't make such ephasise
I can feel my tongue vibrating but I can't make sounds at the same time, when I try to make sounds, my tongue stops vibrating, how can I solve this problem?

for me its easy to pronounce but not in the words.
More practice and you will succeed! Try a combination of sounds first and then move on to words.
