True. Like with this song here, I get so emotional; and as someone who likes to sing, I find myself trying to put my male harmony to her vocals. Also, every high note she hits, my body feels and reacts to; either with the raising of my eyebrow, pointing my finger in the air to signal a high note, or the wide opening of my eyes to signify, yeah!!! That was a high one.
Imagine Mariah coming out AFTER the social media/ internet era - she'd be the biggest artist of this generation and no one would compare to her vocal ability, singing style and song writing. Appreciate this type of music .

This first album was EVERYTHING. She was so beautiful, the songs were amazing, her voice was on point. Plus, it brings back so many great memories. A dear friend of mine, from when he was a little boy, grew up into a beautiful young man. We loved each other as friends for years, but were starting to be attracted to each other in a different way as young adults... He LOVED this album and used to play it when my best friend (his cousin) and I would go to his house. He was suddenly killed in an accident not much later. We were devastated. This album will forever remind me of him in such a powerful way. ❤️❤️❤️

I used to have to go to my local bar to play this video as it wasn't fully available in the uk. I played it and played over and over. I fell deeper in love with this song, its lyrics, its depth, and sentiment. I truly identified with this song. It broke an already damaged 💔 I will always love this track and the deep sentimental places it took me. My only wish was to relay the feelings it gave me in real life, with the woman that stole my heart and the disappointment of the unrequited love that i felt for her. 30+ years later, i still feel the pain and the hurt loving this women brought 😢😢😢

Her voice is so beautiful, especially when she sings the low notes, but the high notes are impressive if not angelic, she has such a unique tone I think and she pronounces the words so clearly that it's really easy to connect with the song/her songs because of the vocal training.

Yall crazy. Real singers keep their instruments in tact for years! She was a good singer, but she can't any longer. Patti, Karen Clark Sheard, Kelly Price, Faith Evans have not lost their voices. I guarantee that Jennifer Hudson will also keep that instrument in tact til death.
