  • Why do people assume nobody else exists that can do what Newey does? Merc won multiple championships without him. The rules change for 2026 and that changed everything we know today.

    • Mercedes was decades ahead with the engine, that gap couldn’t be closed with aero alone.

    • @@mustvid Newey is the best but there’re a few that are close. There’s more than aero alone, not only the engine but also all other employees, both trackside and not. Him going to another team (what I won’t believe unless it’s officially confirmed) might shake things up but certainly won’t create a new number one instantly.

    • Mercedes have lost all of the people that made their team good, and their engine advantages are gone. Ferrari will have the best new engine, because they're the only team that already had a very similar straight six design.

    • If a driver won titles with Williams, McLaren and Red Bull, the driver would be seen as pretty good at winning.

  • I think Miami's track is pants, the only worst thing at the Miami GP is the Cheesey off track rubbish.. (i.e. driver introduction... utter poor taste cheese).... Please, Please, Please U.S.A stop it! (There should be a clause in any Andretti contract, NO cheese, NO Team America Cr*p) C.O.A on the other hand is my Level peg favourite track with Spa.
