    • @@Alpha_Cleaning_Clips I have seen street interviews from USA where some black people claimed, you cannot be racist against white people. So I am not so sure if he understands this (you need to look out of your box). I assume nearly everyone was a victim to some kind of bullying/abuse by other kids, as kids tends to be very brutal (mentally or phisically), and as Alexander said, its not only about one color of the skin. So when you think of it like that it could have been racism, but it also could have been stupid kids that were frustrated of him winning with them and it was easiest way to let frustration go away and to get in to his head. And they clearly did, but he overcome it, and thgis is really impressive. He should be teaching kids that!

When you're not from money, when you have nothing to fall back on, when your dad worked 3 jobs just to give you a chance against kids spending 5x that on a karting hobby, you're given something people who buy their way there will never have.

If you look back each year it’s usually equally as low or even less. F1 is one of the only sports where the thing you’re using to do the sport is more important than your skill. If your dad is a billionaire (like lando norris) you’re likely going to beat the other kids karting because you have a brand new kart/engine/tires every race. • Fuckin class bloke. And people still try to claim racism isn't an issue in F1 anymore - if it wasn't, there'd be other black drivers by now. There's no way that in all these years, Lewis is still the only black guy who had such an interest and talent in racing to make it. Nah, I don't buy that. There's got to be others, but something is standing in their way. Racism isn't always blatant or just hurling the n-word at people, it's a whole system of little things that add up to block the way. Stuff a lot of people probably wouldn't even notice unless they're black and they can spot the pattern.

    @rexana@rexana2 жыл бұрын
    • You're so right but it's also a lot deeper than race, it's also about class and money. F1 is a very expensive sport. Lewis' dad had to work 4 jobs to support his son's dream. Most drivers are either sons or grandsons of former drivers. It's already hard breaking into the sport for people of any race but it must be 10 times harder for people of colour I think making the sport more accessible to kids from a working class background would be a good start

  • I loved this part. The longest he's featured in all of the drive to survive's 3 seasons. Can you guys focus more on him next season? It's absurd watching a show about F1 and not have it centre Lewis in any capacity except talking about race or when he's had a bad race. I appreciate giving the other teams their moment in the spotlight too, but c'mon.. Lewis hasn't dominated the sport for almost a decade only to be a footnote in a show about F1. You couldn't get away with doing that in the schumi era. Tell the full Lewis story. He's a brilliant racer, but has bad days too. That he wants to change the world and cares about others. Waiting to see how you frame the 2021 Silverstone crash between Lewis and Max. I dare you to make Lewis the villain Netflix. I DARE YOU

Especially if they aren't taught to be a critical thinker.
