    • @@byanymeansnecessary9329 the conversation went from why the rise of popularity of F1 in the US, to why it seems to be so centered in Europe. So I would have thought an Aussie could have mentioned there is connection between Australia and F1: their world champions. But it's like he doesn't know anything about that, he almost admitted it. It's like professional bike racing: if you want to get to the top, Americans and Australians go to Europe, at a young age. Btw, in 1980 I did a night shift (from Saturday night to Sunday morning) in Alan Jones pit at the Zandvoort grand prix.

  • I feel like even if he isn't a regular driver now he'll just be doing netflix promos as long as that show is going, he was always the standout from Drive to Survive, it's going to be interesting on who they will focus on for the 2023 season now that he's just a reserve.

  • 05:11 the look on his face tells me he suddenly remembered he won't be one of 20 drivers next season. Quite sad. People forget sometimes that he was essentially the main protagonist of DTS season 1 and hence is responsible for the explosion of formula1 popularity more than any other driver on the grid.

    • Let's not forget that what he did in season one was career suicide. Nicely demonstrated by him jumping off a cliff (sort of anyway). The reason he is gone from the grid now is that he couldn't handle that Red Bull had a better driver in Verstappen.

  • Ive been an f1 fan for 40 years... since i was a ten year old girl... ive been to a number of races... as a fan... i like montreal. Its got all the bells and whistles of amerucan cities, but this french Canadian , european feel. Also the track is on its own island...so that island basically become a mini formula one city. Races i particularly like for excitement, watching the drivers ... monza is up there. I loved hungaroring... magny cours is a great one too. More recently... abu dhabi is a blast to watch. Its hard... for so long there was a very set list of racetracks and countries... then...it was a unique thrill to hear a new track or new country was coming in... then, it went wild...we were adding track upon track.. so of course some were dropped...and thats natural... but there are races and tracks i miss seeing. I still cant believe we dont have a Finnish grand prix race. With 9 f1 drivers over the years... cmon... finland deserves to be on the calendar... we have a few races with zero driver representation ever in the sport...
