  • I love that last line from Marx, "Found on road dead". It's acronym spells out "Ford" and it's something my diehard Chevy loving grandpa says.

    • Those who loved Ford, OTOH, claimed it means "first on race day". Unfortunately our house doesn't feel that way: a car with only 54K miles on it needed 7200 for a new engine block. So we traded it for a Nissan.

  • Marx's third verse was so battle ending. The fact that "Edsel's stomach cancer showed more love than you did" wasnt his finishing line, but the opener for one of the most brutal series of bars I've seen on these kind of battles is insane. He had Ford dead by the time of "Your legacy's in ashes" bar and yet Marx kept hitting and hitting.

    • @@blackeye3336 No he didn't. It takes far more than an ending line from the first verse, a few puns and a counter-reference regarding George Orwell to pull off a slaughter. And that's without getting into how the only ones out of his disses and criticisms that weren't torn apart were: his repeated jab at Marx's hygiene (you don't reuse the same diss unless you want to look stupid, and wording the second use differently only makes it look lazy to boot), his remark about Marx being an alcoholic (Marx literally admitted to that one in his first verse, so it loses any possible use as an insult against him) and the bit about Karl having boils on his skin (now he did have a skin condition of some kind, but it didn't lead to boils on his crotch). What, wondering why I didn't say anything about Engels? Marx actually stated (and this is a treat) that capitalism was better than anything that preceded it in one of his books and praised Engels in a number of places. Sure, it can be argued as Marx being hypocritical, but I don't see you giving Tesla grief for having worked under Edison at one point or Rockefeller for practicing philanthropy while being vicious towards would-be competitors.

All it took was some catchy moments and a few actually thought-out lines to absolutely CRUSH whatever ford had going on. Shock value and insults can't carry you forever. Marx's last few lines were killer blows one after another, too. But honestly, it was won from the first two verses. Ford opened with a bad joke an an empty promise he had no chance of fulfilling, without building himself up at all, only comparing himself to Marx. Marx opens announcing himself (in a VERY catchy line too), displaying far more confidence than ford did, and then IMMEDIATELY jumping to stating a fact that's far worse than any subjective jab ford could come up with.

  • I'm going to have to dock some points from Ford there because he compared Stalin and Mau to Marx. Leninism and Stalinism were decidedly different from Marxism. Lenin and Stalin described their government as a capitalist state. Mau wasn't Marxist either; he was a Leninist, which meant they first wanted to remove all other communist and socialist parties, reduce the political landscape to a single political party, establish a state capitalist economy, and create a dictatorship of the proletariat except they tend to stop at "create dictatorship" and don't bother with the rest of the phrase. Marx and Engel wrote about a period marked by the abuse of the people by the ruling monarchies of Europe. They both believed that these monarchs would never voluntarily abdicate their thrones and, therefore, required violent revolution to overthrow them. At no point has Marx ever expressed a desire to create a dictatorship or a single-party rule. He advocated for workers to rise up and seize the means of production from landowners. So that's going to be a D minus for Mr. Henry Ford.
