Tsitsipas gets a lot of hate but he seems to have matured and is genuinely a pleasure to watch 👏
Stefanos always get a lot of hate, first because he is Greek and second because he is a good player.
I hated him before but nowadays he plays incredible tennis , I shocked
Tsitsipas gets a lot of hate basically because he's an asshole
@@user-tn7zu2ce6p He gets a lot of hate because he's a douchebag
@@user-tn7zu2ce6p Greek? I don't see equivalent dislike of our Muscle Goddess Maria. I've always had issues with him because of his daddy issues, feel the dude would be absolute top of the next-gen if he'd man up and hire a real coach.
He's pulling it together and gaining confidence. I wish him more success
Tsitsipas on clay is a treat for the eyes. That BH is really beautiful, it is not too powerful but the change of direction and placements are very beautiful to watch
acosta..a great fighter and a clay specialist. not to mention that he s playing on clay far more time earlier this season than tsitsipas. in some cases of the match the ball was playing some nasty games as well. stefanos is playing almost every single day for 2 weeks now. got to credit him this victory.
Sounds like excuses
bro here implying Tsisipas was the underdog 😂
Agree - Diaz Acosta is very formidable on clay, having just won Argentina Open. Also, I'm sure Stef is a bit tired from MC win so hope he gets rest for his final push in Barcelona.
Gibberish. Learn English.
So good to see new argentinian guys like Diaz Acosta and Navone going into top 50. I hope they can keep climbing the rankings in the remaining of the clay season
Yeah both are my fav clay players so glad to see them doing well. Upset Acosta didn't win it. Was sooo close
One of those battle makes you think that must give always 100 % and focus on every point at court to get the win. LET'S GO STEF!!! well done 🎉🎉🎉
This was a GREAT clay court battle. This kid Diaz Acosta is crafty and tough to beat. Tsitsipas hung in well and got the W, but the separation between them was just so tiny. Look forward to both of them doing well in Rome and Paris
Great job by Stefanos digging out a win from what would have been a pretty bad loss.
Stef wasn't playing at his best today - probably tired from winning in Monte Carlo. But credit to Diaz Acosta - he had to win the first set to have a chance and he did that.
Tiny difference? He is playing everyday for 2 weeks and just won Monte Carlo , give some respect and stop finding excuses to make his win less important.
@@Nikolas_kloudasYes, it was tiny differences, that's all. But that's the nature of tennis, and professional sport in general. The most successful sportsmen are the ones who win those tight games more often than not. Tsitsipas could have lost today, but he didn't. And saying that is NOT making excuses. Don't be so ridiculously sensitive.
@@MikeAG333 tsitsipas is an elite player and people only giving out toxic and hate comments and making fun of him lately. Also if tsi tsi had a few days to reset and relax he would have played even better. He is playing literally every day. Im not sensitive i just can’t stand more of this
Be aware of Diaz, he's very solid clay court player.
Really a resurgence from Tsitsipas lately, and he does play some beautiful tennis at his best.
Why'd they cut off the handshake? I couldn't watch when Facundo went up 5-2 in the tiebreak, thought Stef was gonna lose it. Crazy match! Props to Facundo for bringing it - he seized every opportunity Stef gifted him - except for that final double fault. Congrats to Stef for squeaking this one out -- wishing him a second wind here!
Dude Acosta gifted more opportunities to 2tsipas. That's the only reason he lost
Shame the video cut the very amicable handshake. Great effort from both, great to see Diaz Acosta back up his BA title with this run. Cant wait to see and hope he plays this well at the French Open!
Felicitaciones Stefano!
Great comeback from Tsitsipas! He did not give up! He needs to continue playing aggressively, using his all court game to move forward successfully! It looks good for him. If he can control his serve and keep his unforced errors lower than today, he has a great chance! Will be cheering for him for yet another title. He must believe and we must believe with him that he will get there!
Feel bad for Acosta. He should've won😢
Easy shot open court on match point
Truly dramatic match!🤯😱 To save more match points and then win like this, Tsitsipas has become a truly matured top player!👏 His mental strength has improved a lot, which he really showed against Sinner and Ruud!🎉🎾🇬🇷
A sinner anno rubato il punto se no tornava a casa.la prossima volta se sinner sta bene se lo mangia.
@@mauriziorussoni1259Sinner wasn’t able to close out the set. He was a break up. Coming up with excuses is what losers do.
Yes Tsitsi will get new fans. Attractive tennis , great fight....
Tsitsias is HIM. The greek god is back!
Hahahaha 😂😂😂
Hard fought win! Hopefully he can play like this at French Open
Respect Greeks
nail biting moment... Congrats, Tsitsipas!
A thriller, congrats to Stef for this Titanic battle. Diaz Acosta is promising.
Μπράβο Στέφανος ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thx bro for win 🇬🇷
TSITSIPAS THE NEXT MATCH MORE NET GAME AND DROPSHOT TO SAVE ENERGY 💙🎾💪👁️
Exactly what I was screaming to the screen! 🤣🤣
Tsitsipas has to improve the highball response if he's going to go farther. Diaz produces many points off the highball off the backhand.
Stefanos is not playing his best,it's obvious,in Monte-Carlo he was playing high class tennis, but his clay court abilities are enough to even beat very solud clay court players. Well done by Facundo, wish him well. Tsitsipas needs to rise his level in next match in order to win the tournament.
Pretty high level stuff here for the most part. Diaz Acosta brought the right game plan with heavy, high balls to Tsitsipas’s backhand and drop shots when he got too far back, but Tsitsipas is so tough, physically and mentally believe it or not. In that run from 2019-21, I just remember it being almost impossible to convert break points on his serve. Guys like Djokovic or Nadal would go 4/15 against him. Gotta credit his toughness here. He’s been through some crazy clay court battles through the years and it came in handy for this one.
Acosta always plays like that not because of 2tsipas
What a match but you cannot double fault at 8-8 in a tie break!! That was crucial!!
Stefanos should have finished it much earlier. My heart skipped a beat, actually too many beats. In any case a win is a win. Go Stefane. We shall cheer for you.😊😊😊
win the hard way what a match
Quality match. Tsitsipas has 2 weaknesses: Bounce backhand and drop-shot: Backhand has lack of control with the bounce height and he does not have the acceleration for court-coverage. Apart from that he has a solid Clay game with good tactics and strong serve, but he has those 2 exposures for the top players to exploit. You can see Diaz Acosta tried to exploit both.
Thanks for that. I've no doubt this is all news to Tsitsipas and he'll change everything now as a result. He will maybe even appoint you to his team, because he's clearly short of armchair experts to help him.
@@MikeAG333 The attempt at lampooning is silly about the correct observations about the two major weaknesses being described in a comments facility on social media where people express opinions and share observations. On a productive track on subject not talking about the people expressing opinions: Do note the difference!) do note the outcome of this match may suggest to Tsitsipas' next opponents to try to adopt these tactics also instead of trying to beat him in baseline shots alone eg Ruud... There's practical utility in the observations made. Either you have a parasocial relationship with the player in question or you are a chat-bot provoking unnecessary emotional sentiment analysis. I leave either option as equally valid. If you really are human you may wish to explain your comment to your better satisfaction? Please by all means do so if you wish to.
@@commentarytalk1446 "Either you have a......blah blah". False dichotomy, old chap. Your English is so appalling that either you dropped out of kindergarten or you didn't bother proof-reading your gibberish. You may wish to explain this. See how it works?
His serve wasn't great in this match it's been inconsistent so far and even in MC too somewhat. But Tsitsi does have a very good serve when it's working it's one of the best on tour.
Do you mean Stef's drop shots or getting to the opponent's drop shots? I will admit, I was surprised b/c Stef usually makes a lot more drop shots on clay and he goes charging after opponents' drop shots more often, unless his legs are tired - which could be after Monte Carlo. The bounce is what makes Stef's backhand more effective on clay.
Grande Stefanos!!! Continua cosi!!!💪👏👏
Very tough match, which reminds me that there is no easy rival in these type of tournaments
Diaz Acosta just gifted this match,so many chances…
Exactly. Too many unforced errors. 2tsipas wasn't anything special
@@Nat-oj2uc Tsitsipas made a lot of unforced errors too and he's been playing non stop since MC. Acosta played great but Stef was not playing his best and gave him openings.
@@Nat-oj2ucάντε γαμησου ρε μαλακα. Google translate is your friend.
Yes my boy yes, this is it 😎
Acosta was sooo close..
I didn't know Tsi was so good on clay
Facundo!!!!!! What a match!!!! Ole ole ole ola! Messi!!! Facundo!!! Greetings from Argentina
Que partido, hizo el compatriota Argentino, lastima jugo excelente,...... Pero renacio de las cenizas.... Si.. Si.. Pasa.... 👍
Wow 🤩 That was close 😅 ❤❤❤
for title a gain what a match congrats stef🔥👏
Diaz Acosta is a beast on clay. Really good player. It's a shame his confidence has broken down because of double faults at the end and things like that. Tsitsipas really evolved as a player. I still think his backhand needs to be something, but it is really better than before. On clay, he has something to be proud of.
LionTsiTsipas✨🦁
Dos match point para Diaz Acosta, una se le fue por poco, así es el tenis, pero GRAN partido que hizo frente a un tres veces ganador de Montecarlo y finalista en Roland Garros.
Tsitsipas' game is elite except for that backhand...his one handed backhand is like a stain on a Van Gogh painting, it makes his life so much more difficult while the rest of his game is so good...
Keep on telling yourself this, Einstein, whilst watching him win.
Gotta give diaz acosta some credit, hes so annoying to play against on clay.
@@MikeAG333 How many slams has he won? Let's see how he goes over 5 sets at the French, which seems the only one he might have a shot at.
@@JC-lu4seWTF has that got to do with anything at all?
High praise and high diss for Stefanos all in one sentence. 🤣 You don't think Stefanos improved his backhand starting in Monte Carlo? I see it. Ironic that photo of Stef at RG that's been compared with a Caravaggio painting was of him hitting a backhand.
superbe finale: dommage que je ne l'ai pas vu entièrment. Merci
Glad for Stefanos. This win is huge
That was entertaining thanks to Tsitsipas. He did not want to win easily 🤣
He is a big threat on a clay court for sure. Seems way more confident than any other surface
Tennis TV editor: yeah let's just cut the video mid handshake, that's a great idea!
Se o Tsitsipas tivesse o backhand do Stan Wawrinka poderia ter vencido mais facilmente. Sem dúvida ele cedeu muitos pontos com esse backhand curto.
i m not stef fan but i wish him a first GS at RG!
That was a craaazy gamee🎉
How long was the 3rd set?
Its time for the 1st title at Atp 500 series! 0-10 is Stef score 😢
What a celebration by Tsitsipas . Can't imagine what would be if he wins Grand slam one dat😂
Diaz Acosta was not a better player than then other two, Tsitsipas faced in round 2 and 3.... it is just that he did many unforced errors, too many double faults and he was not patient in his game. When he played good it was impossible for Diaz Acosta to follow. However, they both deserve our applause for a wonderful match. I'm Greek so I want Tsitsipas to go as deep in the tournament as possible and to win Roland Garros if possible! He needs to find the passion and the spirit to guide him becuase both mentally and physically is a beast and clay is his best surface with the best results.
You are like a Nole fan, no one beats them, they lose, we understand, the other people never plays well it s just them trolling
stfu casual. Diaz acosta is legit
@@lalolanda8458 Diaz Acosta is miles away from Stefanos’s level. He got a fair chance today by playing an opponent with 0 rest beating world’s number 2, 4 and 7 only a few weeks ago. Stfu and go cry in a corner.
@@iacovos1191 u greek cunnts are crying because tsisipas almost lost and felt the need to defend him. He was out of the top ten 2 weeks ago, and will be out again soon. Take his balls out of yer mouth and sit down where you belong
@@iacovos1191 You greek suckers feel the need to defend tsisipas when he almost lost, making excuses for him. Diaz acosta is legit, and that's what I said, because you underestimate him, because you are casuals. Acosta won a 250 before tsisipas won this year. And I'll say more. 2 weeks ago tsisipas was out of the top ten, because his level sucked BAD, and now you come praising him like he is a marvel. You people are something. Don't worry, he will be out of the top ten again soon, remember my words. He won't change, and you'll stop praising him. So you casuals saying whatever think it's right, stfu and sit where you belong.
Friggin love it.
Stefanos was clearly exhausted and he was lucky today..game could go the other way but he has been playing non stop for two weeks. Now!,,
Excellent tsitsi... 2finales remportees a la suite. Resurrection for him. Respect !!
Diaz Acosta is going to have nightmares about that whiffed forehand on match point
Continua il momento di forma di Tsitsipas
Wow what a battle ! Congratulations to Tsitsipas 👏🏽
What a gameeee
Красиво сыграли!Молодец Стефанос выдержал до конца!
Tsitsipas has a huge problem with his forward movement! His lateral is great, but he moves forward so so late. And that's why he gets dropshotted like there is no tomorrow! He will never beat Alcaraz (for example), if he doesn't improve that. Doesn't even chase most dropshots.
This used to be a bigger problem for him imo. I think he's actually improved on that quite a bit recently. In this match maybe he didn't run as much as he should have but I'm sure that has more to do with fatigue since he's been playing non stop since MC and his court positioning too.
He does not have a huge problem with forward movement. Early in his career he was known for sprinting after drop shots and making returns. He's a little older now and more strategic about how he expends energy. Also maybe his legs were tired from Monte Carlo. His issue with Alcaraz seems to be more mental scar tissue than his forward movement - he just needs more self belief again.
Diaz Acosta looks 1.95m tall until the handshake
Tsitsipas becoming a joy to watch. The Paula Badosa effect?
Маладца!!
4:35 The woman in the right is Tsitsipas's sister she grown up so beautiful😱
It’s like a movie from the first scene.
Bien Tsisipas, ya era hora!
Молодец Стефа. Выдержал.
Tsitsipas celebrated like he won the Roland Garros.......
Sorry for acosta. He missed a relatively easy shot for seal the match .
I thought Tsitsipas was going to lose in the 3rd set. I started watching when he was up 5-4 serving for the match. Then he was down match point at 5-6. After he took it to a tie break I had to leave. Just now was able to see he pulled it off.
Hope to see Dias Acosta at RC quarter finals .
Finale ?!!
Talk about a ‘hard day at the office’.🫠
Finale?
Rafa beat Tsitsipas in a somewhat similar match, here,a few years back.
Stef was so close to beating Rafa then, so close!
He always find difficulties against lefties as his forehand is not as effective with them.
Watch out for lefties on clay!
First ATP 500 Loading...
Stefanos was stiff as a tree from nerves and fear. Managed to survive somehow. Maybe luck, maybe not.
What’s up with the misleading title? Taking it a step too far Tennis TV!
Tsitsipas is playing brilliant 2 win the French
Tremendo facu
Ragazzi tsitsipas sembra cecchinato oramai, c’è da farsi il segno della croce ogni volta che lo gioca
Tsitsi how are going to handle those high bouncing balls to your backhand.
Why couldnt he skip this 500 to preserve for upcoming 1000 in Madrid, having just won 1000 in Monte carlo? Why play consecutively for a small tournament like this?
because he has points to defend there. he has to perform really well in this clay season because the atp finals race is going to be very tight. Moreover without Novak nadal sinner and Carlos in there he is the favourite to win it. he isn’t in a place where he can skip tournaments because he desperately needs points and a first 500 title. I don’t think 500s are small tournaments tho. especially for stef because he is 0-10 in 500s finals.
Madrid starts on Wednesday and Stefanos may play his first match on Friday or Saturday, so it's not a big problem.
Ditto what @perfectbalance said, and also I think Stef has been so close to winning Barcelona on 3 other occasions that he'd like this feather in his cap and this year is a great opportunity. I also had the same thought that maybe Stef could've taken a rest - but there's no guarantee that he'll go deep in Madrid - especially as it is a faster surface and players like Alcaraz, Sinner, Rune, Djokovic and Zverev could really bring it, and no guarantee in Rome b/c Djokovic usually raises his level there and Sinner will be pumped up for home tournament like Turin. I wouldn't be surprised if Stef doesn't really go all out in Madrid and saves himself more for Rome, RG and Olympics this year.
The Elderwand remains.
ARGENTINA Champion du monde de Foot !!!!! Vivaaaaaa de la part d un Grec
Como vas a tener doble falta en ese punto. .igual jugaste bien Diaz
New king of clay
Which one is the real drama queen? Always! Hint: It isn't Acosta. Είναι ο Τσιτσιπἀσ!
Diaz Acosta soon in top 10
Clay sesson will end soon...
If we had only clay courts
We should have only clay courts. It's the best surface
let's go steafanos !!!
Everybody (even many of you) was bullying Tsitsipas all year so far because of his pathetic appearances, and because he's doing well for 10 days now in his favorite type of court, y'all started the "CONGRAAATS!!!" and "RESPEEEECT!!!". He wins 1-2 trophies every year, and this is that time of the year for 2024. I wanna see if all of you will continue your "respects" when he starts his usual downfall again after this 2-week success he's having. And as you saw in this match, he almost lost for a few centimeters (1:53). He's playing almost every day for 2 weeks now, he's starting to get tired. He's human, you know. With a very big ego that doesn't let him take a break. And eventually, it will turn against him, again.
New King Clay 2024
Tsitsipas is too grand to run for a dropshot.
