My humor is very similar to hers, and it’s always been hard for conventional people to understand me. Seeing her be unapologetically herself week after week, really helped me to start accepting myself, and not hiding my personality away, simple because people though I was weird
I think she’s the best Not Ready for Prime Time Player since Gilda Radner, my favorite of the Orignal NRFPTPs - and that says a lot, because the entire original cast was amazing, plus there were so many other greats, Eddie Murphy, Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, just to name a few.

@@CJ-gy8ie I'm pretty sure that the alien comment was a direct reference to queerness, because Kate talks about her sexuality and the social stigma appended to it openly and frequently. The sketch was also pretty clearly designed as a send-off, so it tracks that that amount of thought would go into key lines. But agree to disagree:)

I didn' even know she was leaving... Not gonna lie, my heart sunk to my stomach when I saw her tearing up. She's a great actress with a fantastic sense of humor and I just know that whatever she does will be amazing. It's sad to see her go, but she's going to do more great things.

The end of Kate McKinnon’s run on the show hits hard, despite knowing she would eventually leave SNL someday. She is probably my all time favorite cast member and it won’t be the same without her. I wish her the best in wherever she’s headed next.

What a great ending to her run. Even that last line in the room-“I always felt kinda like an alien on this planet anyway”-has a tone of bittersweetness. A lot of people turn to comedy because they feel out of place in the world, but Kate McKinnon found where she belonged, and she inspired lots of other people who feel the same way. Thank you for the laughter, Ms. McKinnon. :)

That ending moment is the only time I think I’ve seen Kate break a bit and show emotion through her total immersion in a role. And with good reason. Can’t wait to see where her comedy takes her from here.
Well there was that one time last season on Weekend Update when she was Dr. Wenodis (pronounced like "we know this") talking about vaccines and Covid precautions, where she just completely broke. Colin Jost finally addressed her out of character saying "Kate, are you all right?", and she said "obviously not".
Also when she played Hilary Clinton after Trump won. She sang "Hallelujah" while playing piano. She was holding back tears during the end of that song

The problem with this show and comedy in general is Men are being feminized. This show is all about woman and gays. So real men cant preform and are weak looking, coddling to girls here. Women generally are not funny and filled with to much emotion to be funny. So the ratings are bad because gays and fat girls are to emotional and cant get over personal struggles to be funny. Hands down the best series skit she’s done. I don’t think anyone that’s ever participated in this sketch along with her ever lasted without at least slightly breaking. I’m gonna miss her - she was one of the greats, easily among the SNL alum elite.

Same. I keep tearing up every time I watch it. She can't imagine how many nights she's gotten so many of us through. Especially the past few years. I hope she knows how much she's sincerely cherished.

She seemed verklempt at the end. Definitely the best SNL character in years. To the extent other characters had trouble keeping a straight face for some of them, she committed so much to them.
She's gonna have a hit series after this. Talent like that doesn't just fade.

I honestly mean this! The second best ending to a comedy show, series, character that I've seen since the finale of "Newhart" (young one's look it up? It's brilliant-ty Jenny Newhart for that brilliant idea). I only wish my dad had lived long enough to see it! He passed on April 1'st (his April fool's day joke on me lol). He absolutely loved these skits and Kate! Tears of laughter! GL w/the aliens Colleen! Tell dad 'Hey xo' (his side of the fam. hail from Roswell, N.M. so, it's fitting!!! ;)

I didn’t even know it was Kate’s last episode but I could tell how she entered the alien ship and took that deep breath. Dang, she was one of my favorites!

Kate has a sense of comedic timing that is a gift from god, she knew what was funny and exactly how to share that with her audience. She'll go down in SNL history as one of the all-time greats. The only saving grace to her departure is that she can come back anytime she wants! Thanks for all the laughs Kate!

This actually made me cry. I have anxiety, ptsd, and adhd so falling asleep is hard for me. Watching SNL skits as a fall asleep gives me something to focus on other than the thought tornado. Kate McKinnon, for almost 5 years you have been able to help me fall asleep and quiet my thoughts. I've had four heart surgeries at 23 years old and every night before going to the hospital, I would watch you. Even when I was in the hospital, and it would hurt to laugh sometimes, I still watched you. This may be your last show as a cast member, but for me, your performance will never end. Take a bow Kate, and thank you.
