Hanoi Trainstreet (Close-up Train View) - 🇻🇳 Vietnam [4K HDR] Walking Tour
Virtual tour of the infamous and notorious Trainstreet in Hanoi, stunning close-up views. Click here ▶ to see highlights and guide.
(From Wiki)
The traffic in Vietnamese cities is famously harrowing, motorbikes zooming perilously between cars. There is one street in Hanoi where traffic is not a problem: a small residential lane between Le Duan and Kham Thin near the Old Quarter. A high speed train hurtles between the buildings twice a day.
Dominated by the tracks, the lane where the train runs is incredibly narrow. During most of the day, locals treat the tracks like they would any other street. Children play there, people bicycle over the wooden ties. But when they feel the rumbling of the engine, they jump back into their houses or press themselves flat against the walls of their homes.
This is one of Hanoi’s more dangerous attractions, as the trains will not slow down, even if someone is on the tracks. While the train street is a photographer’s dream, visitors should do as the locals do and get out of the way when the train comes. The trains are scheduled every day at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm, and they come from the south.

Thank you for watching! The video features the famous Trainstreet in the center of Hanoi City, Vietnam. Two weeks after the recording Trainstreet was deemed illegal and banned for tourists due to many accidents that happened over the course of time. This may be one of the last recordings published online of this particular section of Trainstreet.
Let's spend a minute to pay tribute to the camera guy who gave his life for the under train footage
Barely survived. But all for the views!
The thing is Camera man never dies no matter what.
The camera guy wasent under the train bro- he just out a camera under the train
HAHA@@WanderlustTravelVideos
Bold of you to assume he died, considering he's a cameraman
That's actually a pretty charming looking area.
It amazing to see how the street tranform. I was there 2-3 years ago, it look nothing like this..
What did it look like?
@@anayarey7865 an ugly slum..
2:07 That's where I sat, just 2 months ago, enjoying a pho and coconut coffee....
1:03 That's where I sat!
*Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Love from Vietnam. Support you!*
The camera man under the train really risked his life to get us the best shots hats off to him.
It's nice that we can have good-quality video like this to remember the quaintness of Train Street. As of Sept 17, 2022, all cafes and tourism in general will be illegal there and apparently even enforced. Unfortunately, I guess too many mishaps and idiots have necessitated that.
Oh cool! To see this place up close and personal like that. Very fascinating and unique indeed.
How they can sleep like that? 😂
Wow not a lot of clearance there. Pretty cool to see though that there are train station is like this. Thanks so much for taking us along. - Henry
Hello my friend. I from Vietnam !
Wow, that train at 1:00 was a little bit scary! Great walk btw. :)
Haha
Definitely train alley. Very charming area. Not much clearance there must use extreme caution. I don't think we have too many lines like that in the united states Man that's definitely unigue.
Wow, there are cafes now! Before it was a market, if I'm not wrong.
Before it was just normal house. The market one is from Thailand
Which came here first? Houses or railways track.
Sou do Brasil me chamo Fabrico, gostaria de saber o nome deste tão ilustre caminhante, adoro os vídeos....sempre curto com like e compartilho com centenas de pessoas
Muito bacana 👏🇧🇷🇻🇳👌
Beautiful vietnam railway 😍😍
I am going there next week. Do you know the schedule for the trains? What time was this when you filmed it?
dang, that cam got ran over 🚊 .....
Nice location ❤
Not as dangerous looking as the Maeklong Railway Market in Bankok. They actually have all their market stalls on the track. Of all places.
wellcome you to Vietnam! Are you still in Vietnam? Perhaps, this is the last time you see this scene. Hanoi goverment decided to prohibit guest from filming movies
Not anymore in Vietnam, but what a beautiful country! That's right, I'm lucky to record to last part of train street still open for the public. Hanoi government decided two weeks ago to close the entire train street indefinitely.
Train street forbitten for tourists now ........ .I was there 2019, Dec

@@WanderlustTravelVideos What do you mean by "close the street"? As in, literally close it off for people, or just restrict it for the tourists? What was the reason for such a decision anyway?
@@ThinBear4 it’s dangerous. A dude almost got himself killed while filming and it was the last straw.
Cool walk. Thank you!
What time train will come to this street? I want to see, now i in hanoi
Since the train street was closed down, then opened, then closed.... Now you need an "invitation" to get in. This consists of someone from a bar yelling at you, and you just say "yes". We recommend the "Railway Cafe" which was the original, and is the most atmospheric.
Wow!!
This is madness.
on one of the posted schedules it says it comes through att 22:00 ... that would be a cool video
its 7pm
What software do you use for the intro?
Adobe After Effects
@@WanderlustTravelVideos Thanks
wow Amazing
I like your video 👍
There mommies be like,"son, cross the tracks safely as the train must be coming anytime from anywhere".
Stay safe
Dear , I am writing to inquire about your permission to use your video clip. This is , the Korean TV show which is broadcasted on JTBC (Korean TV channel). With your permission, I'd like to use your video to introduce HANOI TRAIN STREET. It will be broadcasted at 9PM on 7 August 2023. Thank you for your kind attention and look forward to hearing from you.
How to transform something quite dangerous and annoying for the neighbors into a Main Tourist Attraction !
Byłoby naprawdę ciekawie gdyby w tym miejscu miał prędkość przelotowa 160 km/h😊😊😊a tak to żadna dla mnie atrakcja.
In Poland
What?! LOL! I thought I've seen it all until... LOL!
Reminds me the Home Along Da Riles sitcom of the late Comedy King DOLPHY (one of the greatest comedians here in the Philippines)
Mad train, so close to the peeps
That's why they close it
Nice
Holy crap!
One of my nightmares.😦😦😦😦
Its over! You can only see train outside. Inside forbitten to go! I was there 2019, Dec
Manila used to have the same before but the houses where demolished
It should be. They're informal shelters and relocated. Those areas are prone to accidents. Putting houses in train tracks was a dangerous thing ever, what if you have a baby , a child playing, a mental disabled person , a deaf, drunk person trying to cross the tracks 🤦🤦. And how they can sleep like that? Hahah btw, it's their problem, not ours. 💙
Lol, did you leave a camera under the train?
Yes! I from Vietnam
Cok alistilar resmen helal olsun ama telike durum bu
It will be closed due to the excess of tourists and lack of safety...the authorities said.
Günde ortalama kaç kişi ölüyor 😮
Это что было? Супер аттракцион!
This is the train version of the airplane beach
Not sure why it's "infamous and notorious", it's just life in Hanoi.
The entrance of the famous Rail street has been barricated by its Government enforcement officer stopping the tourist from entering without any reasons. Unless you have to comit to buy any drink or foods to the shops inside the Rail street. That is very ridiculous, an ugly scene of corruption and severely collateral damage to the image of tourism in Hanoi city 😡😡😡
So many foreigners are there wow

Any one wishing in 2024

oh my god you are too close to the train.
Anyone knows how many people died there? 😮
