I see you're filming for the next Jurassic Park Dimitri, good show!
😂 😂 😂
lol
I always watch your reviews whatever piece of tech it is, idk but there's something calming with ur voice
It is
FINALLY, a new Razer mouse. This one is getting me so hyped. All we need now is a Viper Ultimate/Mini V2. A refined shape, weight, design, build quality, switches (they should move to mech switches because they consume less power), and battery would be awesome.
It scares me that if razer released the Basilisk Ultimate in pink, my girlfriend would spend $200 on it in a heart beat. I’ve created a monster
i'd rather a viper mini ultimate than a viper ultimate v2
@@hinderance do you have baby hands or what
@@hinderance why not both.
@@coopercoldwell why do girl love razer? i mean even not good periferial for the quality/cost like the mamba, i mean go for the viper ultimate
Great review! Coming from an egg (gpro gaming mouse) I just bought a razer viper mini to try and I don't like it. Idk if I'm just too used to the egg shape or if its my grip or what but I'm looking for a lighter egg and this review has me sold. I was a little hesitant because other reviewers say it feels completely different but knowing you are switching from g305's to the Orochi v2 gives me confidence
Hell yeah, so excited for this mouse!! I use cox cm600 which is also egg shape, but I really want something wireless.
ironic, ive been looking for smth similar to this, thanks!
I love my Orochi. I was holding out for a wireless Viper Mini but Razer made the perfect light weight egg-shaped wireless mouse with the Orochi.
I like my multiple mouse buttons it does look like a very nice all-around travel and gaming mouse. But woah that grip tape caught my attention more than anything in this vid. Such a simple thing but I've always wanted more roughness in certain grip areas
The mouse market needs more modularity like with keyboards. Hats off to Razer for doing something innovative!

Talk about durable! Still using my v1 Orochi from 2010. Besides a portion of the braided cabling unraveling, still works just fine! Hope the new model lasts just as long for new users!
Hey, I've also had V1 Orochi. It served me 10+ years. I decided to buy the V2 and, man, you'll notice, V2 is a huge upgrade. I'm really happy with this mouse so far. It's incredibly light, precise, and it feels good in the hand. There are things to note though: RMB/LMB are noticably louder than on V1 No side buttons on the right Now V2 is wireless only(2 modes: 2,4 GHz or Bluetooth), so you can't plug in a cord like in V1
@@CakeOfSomething yeah, the clicks in V2 are super fast and responsive. Same goes for side buttons. I've just checked both of them. V1 also clicks okay, it's just that 10yo switches feel a bit softer. I note V2 has larger angle of the where the fingers touch RMB/LMB. That gives 'direct control' feeling, I would call it. Really good for claw grip.
I've had this mouse for over a year and a half, and it's virtually replaced all my Logitech mice. It's perfect for my hand, excellent on battery life, and one of the second peripheral that doesn't have RGB on it (the second being my headset). Honestly, a mouse like this doesn't really need the added battery drain that RGB holds.
Hey i know its been a while since you posted this but the orochi v2 is on sale and im wondering if i should buy it and also what mousepad do you use?
As a old old old old starcraft player there are only two mice that I remember being amazing the Logitech G9/G9X and the Logitech Optical Mini this looks like a winner and something I may have been waiting for I can't wait to try this when I get paid :) This might make me move on from my g pro wireless ultralight purchase as I currently use a g pro wireless ;)
Lovely mouse. Make sure you update the firmware, a stutter issue is now fixed. I’m thinking of selling Viper Ultimate. I prefer the smaller shape. The case attaches with magnets, that’s a nice touch as plastic tabs might fail. Also the battery life is months long. Having AA or AAA (alkaline or Lithium) means it’s also got longevity compared with the a mouse with a built in battery. I also use this on Mac via Bluetooth - doesn’t have Synapse support but a nice experience all the same.
such a smooth and simple aesthetic. very nice
Had my 305 for a month and it’s my favourite mouse, but now I want this
thanks for the review mate
Just ordered one of these. I used a Pro Click Mini for a couple years and very satisfied with it though it could be a bugger getting it to pair.
I just ordered myself one of these! Seems perfect for my hand. Always wanted a razer mouse.

about to buy it right now!
OMG, I recently got an old Imperator from my uncle and was browsing through the included catalog and looking at mice series that were extinct now. But, the Orochi, clearly doesn't like staying dead. (yeah I just hope they revive more classics.)
So, Dave really likes it. Lets see how the canucks feel about this mouse
Came from the same video
This channel is just a sponsored product advertisement channel, I would not base your buying decisions off these guys
@@ShuffleToExpresss The video sponsor was Corsair and they're partnered with SteelSeries. Razer did not (according to the description) have the opportunity to dictate the content of the video and presumably was not given the chance to review it before it was published. This doesn't qualify as an advertisement though the review sample was free. They also just did an impressions style video (I wouldn't call it a review) of the Razer Blade 15 2021 Advanced line from Razer and spent more time criticizing it than praising it.

I came from G304/G305, this looks like a perfect mouse and straight upgrade for me. Price is a little higher than G304/G305, but it looks to be worth it.
I did the same and the Orochi v2 is so much better for me (I know hand shape/grip play a factor). Just a better built mouse too
Hi have u bought the orochi v2 yet? If yrs, how was it? Im also using g304 and sometimes i am misaiming in fps games, im really thinking to change with this. Thanks
Unfortunately I haven't bought it as orochi V2 is double the price of G304 in my country. Also, I am still satisfied enough with my G304. 😬
How are you not a Profesional FPS player, that was nuts.
He is pog, and dare I say, champ as well
Nop
Go check out Tenz playing aimlab, then you know why.
I can get similar if not better results and I still get dicked on time to time at high elo matchmaking (Valorant Immortal rank). Close range flicks are arguably the easiest thing to master on a mouse. Smooth tracking and far range flicking is what separates the best from the good
You don't watch much professional play if you think that was professional (no offense)
Whilst the removable shell is a cool feature I don't like the loss of separated buttons VS the G305 or Aerox or many other modern gaming mice. Ghost shell clicks are a thing and separated buttons are the way forward.
I have never had problem with the shell buttons on my ~10 Razer Nagas I have had over the years
@@nafnaf0 it's not that they don't work. It's that more of the body than intended becomes clickable. Sometimes as much as 3/4 of the entire mouse. Test how far back you can still click the buttons. If you've got bug paws and rest your palm on the mouse it's so easy to get unintended clicks.
@@88Opportunist ye i agree with u, i had that with my other mouse, i couldnt klick when i tapped it little bit behind, cus of the loose shell
i use a model o wireless and im not switching because the shape of the model o is literaly my favorite shape out of the 30 mice i have tried in the past 2 years. and its only 80 dollars on their website!
Got the Orochi V2 here in an eBay Australia EOFY sale in my choice of white for $82.99 AUD (with taxes) ..... about $56 USD before taxes! and also got a Blackwidow Mini V3 Hyperspeed for $225 AUD (with taxes) ..... about $$152 USD before taxes! ... I'm stoked!!!
I was hoping for it to be bigger than my G305 because I need something like that but when you said it was tinier that was a wrap. Thanks a lot for the review.
I have a Cobra M711 from Redragon and I am undecided as to which one, I am between the Razer Viper Ultimate, Razer Orochi V2 and the Deathadder V2 Pro wireless, which one will be better for me? Remembering that I have a small hand and use the claw grip
Might get this bad boy as my first wireless mouse.
Same thoughts buddy
all i needed to hear was better batterylife with a AAA or in general....than my 305....thats going on 3 years of heavy use. It gives me an excuse to whip out the huntsman TKL ive had on the shelf bc i never wanted to install synapse on my 5900x system. Ive been waiting for razer to make a mouse that could encourage me to install synapse as well as use my huntsman again. Now if they could just make a 10-14 button mouse so i can replace my G604 as my daily(which totally eats AA batteries) on 1000hz and needs to be ran on BT if 'daily driving'. The fact that you can change the LOD which i could never do with my old G700S daily. Is something that is well warranted for these non centered sensor placement mice. I found myself picking up the G700S a lot reducing the LOD on a mouse like this would be a nice QOL upgrade. Esp with a hard pad.
i gotta wonder why mice like the superlight don't adapt that wider base that this mouse and the g304/203/g102 have.... it's so much more comfortable than having a narrow mouse and helps with aim! ... it makes absolutely no sense to me.
I have the viper ultimate now, just super satisfied with it. I ordered the white Orochi, see if it feels better!
Bro, any updates??

Yep, I occasionally miss the target due to crosshair overshooting - for a few early shots, that's pretty good from him Aim Lab is free on Steam (although early access/beta level with possible bugs) - so still highly recommend to people who play a lot of FPS games, it will help for sure

Ok, I have this mouse and it’s actually really good. Although, I have this issue where it just cuts out. I thought it was a sign it was low on battery but that was not the case. It might be my usb slots on my pc but it is super annoying and am going to get a new mouse to see if the issue is related to the mouse.
Multidivice support, what a year to be alive. I mean holy cow it's been ages since wireless peripherals are competitive to their wired competitiors, finally some1 thought it through
The Kailh switches in these are great tbh. I like Razer's GM 4.0s
So you think they’re fine for use in a classroom or office? Thinking of buying one for college
I've been using the g305 for the past year, it's gr8 but it feels really cheap How's this one's build quality?
Just ordered one with a customized plate
Back heavy fix, use a triple A lithium battery on where the double A sits and ball up tin foil to fill up the gap.

$90 CAD makes it 50% more expensive than g305 which is on sale every other week on Amazon for $60. Every few months it pops up for $40. Rival 3 wireless is also $70 but it's heavy and has trash battery life. My g305 literally lasts more than 10x longer with a single lithium AAA. I'm lucky to get 2 weeks out of my rival 3. Posting it on kijiji lol.

still waiting on the Viper Mini Wireless... my hands are tiny but I'm not a fan of round mice like this, the g pro, etc. In comparison to the Viper Ultimate the g pro feels like I'm holding a sphere. I really hope they continue to come out with small mice though. I'd rather this 1 be rechargeable like other premium mice but that's just a bit of nit-picking. I hope them releasing this small mouse doesn't mean they'll never release a Viper Mini Wireless
Hey Dimka! Will you guys also do a review of the Kraken V3 X? there is almost nothing about it on YT.
Should I switch out my Razer Ouroboros Mouse for the Orochi V2? (Synapse 3 doesn't support the Ouroboros and I think I want to use that for my Blackshark headset)
Logitech has the same for some time, one dongle for many things!!! It is called unifying receiver!
Someone I know has the viper ultimate and they cant get rid of the rainbow light effects unless the Razer software is active. If only razer software wasn't a pain to deal with and didn't use an unnecessary amount of hardware resources, then I would consider buying their high end peripherals.
Not that serious
Anyone know if the custom top plates are only for when you buy the entire mouse direct? Or can you just get plates on their own? I am thinking of getting from Amazon in case the fit or feel is not right, but really want to get one of the top plates as it looks pretty cool
@ 1:09 What does he mean by "better capacity"? Better signal? More stable signal?
When you somehow know that "Orochi" means large snake in Japanese just because of Naruto. Oh yeah, it's all coming together now...
lmao so true
In One Piece there is a scumbag villain called Orochi and the way Dmitry pronounced Orochi was way off
Every mouse they have is a type of serpent, your two fingers for left and right mouse buttons represent the fangs Every keyboard they have is a type of spider. Your fingers typing are suppose to represent spider legs walking on the keyboard
@@SamLoki what? Lol I never thought about it that way.
Nah, this is actually a One piece reference and orochi actually means mean character, i can only imagine this mouse has an ego. ONE PIEEEECCCEEEE
Logitech did the single dongle first. I can't remember the name, but it actually had a name for it. I don't know if they did it in the gaming series, but they had it in other series.
It's the Unifying receiver for their office mouse, orange logo
It’s probably still worth to put a triple a battery with an adapter or tin foil in the double a slot just so you get the best balance plus weight
I prefer the AAA battery by itself

You were on fire on AIM LAB
1:06 isn't the battery life pretty much the same as the g305 when both use the same battery? I suppose it can hit lower weight than a g305 even with a larger battery so in a way it does have better battery life. The G305 feels pretty terrible and very back heavy with a AA. Regarding using the larger battery due to the location for balance purposes, a AAA battery with an adapter could get the weight benefit + superior location for balance. Maybe the weight with a lithium AAA is TOO light for some people's preference though? Been using a g305 (well muiltiple g305s lol) for a long time, and am definitely interested in giving this a go. If the software actually tracks the battery life even remotely accurately that's a nice improvement since with the g305 logitech basically ignores it and you only know it's time to change your battery when the mouse stops working. Hopefully the kailh switches are longer lasting than the omrons logitech uses. Typical high quality HC content. Nice vid.
Finally some competition, I was getting tired of G305, although It's a good mouse I always prefer new and shiny
yep at 2.5 years on mine its getting "old" im starting to think the sensors getting "loose" after so many days spent traveling and in the bag thrashing about. I was thinking about buying a brand new one and gifting my old one away. Since theyre 40$ on sale...but found myself going.....what else is there....still not willling to pay 50$+ though XD....got my G604 daily for 70$ as an upgrade from the G700S that had worn battery connectors. Logitechs software/ghub is quite ideal IMO. I didnt even install synapse on my NEW 5900x pc i built last fall....to use my fairly new Huntsman tkl on....bc i didnt want that bloatware on my zen3 build. Now we got these "new" and shiny razer mice pushing me towards it....ive had an MSI laptop with a steelseries keyboard onboard.....with the bloatware+logitech+synapse.....imagine that nightmare LUL add steam/origin/ubisoftconnect/battlenet/epic games and xbox in the background idk how a laptop with just 8gb would get by that running condition is probably reality to some ppl
but the razer is always so bulbous and tall.. , g305 is flatter
