I don't care what people say. For me, Mike was the most complete boxer ever. All the shit he had in his life aside, after Cus passed away, it ruined it, but prior to all that he had everything a boxer could dream of. He had immense power, speed, unending hunger, confidence and the physique of a demigod. He had the mind and the body of a warrior, this man was built for this.

@Lngrk Rwn I couldn't agree with you more I get that the bragging is a,way to make a name these days But wilder has no boxing skill at all,Power yes But when he faces above average Hes the lucky punch guy Ortiz boxed his head off then got caught But fury made him pay and showed boxing skill and a dominant performance Mike tyson has power speed excellent movement and hunger in his prime He destroyed with the hook uppercut and would look for the punch that would shake you to your core,An epic fighter Wilder has power But truly needs to learn how to box

Wilder next fight is a guy who throws punches with a postage stamp on them You can see his punches coming from a mile away They have found him another can And when he beats him he will say he is the best,Now boxing is called boxing for a reason You box use a skill and adapt where as wilder is a punchers chance boxer plenty of power but no skill In tysons prime wilder will be making the girl noises biggs was making with every punch tyson hit him with I hope with all the excuses wilder has been making he has put time in to honing skills and by that I mean learning how to box Not just punch hard
@MrTaurrean3 жыл бұрын
@@MrTaurrean I can get behind this. Seeing his blatant lack of fundamentals so clearly in his second fight with Fury as well as the fact Teddy Atlas said he didn't know how to fight shows what you said is very true. What Wilder has going for him is power and his intimidation factor there are a lot of times where he could miss and almost falls down but he doesn't get clipped by the other guy because they move back because they are so scared of the power. Fury wasn't too scared of him to do what he had to do to win.

@lifewasgiventous16145 жыл бұрын
do you mean the taller man? tyson was just as heavy, or heavier than his opponents about 70% of the time.
@Generatorsarefake4 жыл бұрын
Size is determined primarily by height. Taller people have larger bone structures.
@lifewasgiventous16144 жыл бұрын
Life was Given to us This is mostly true, but Tyson was structurally bigger than most of his opponents too, though. He had big wrists and ankles, his proportions were better than the average heavyweight even after accounting for height. Tyson had a true heavyweight structure, he was only short.
@Generatorsarefake4 жыл бұрын
Generatorsarefake I see what your saying but I think that’s more of an appearance thing, he held his weight differently because he was shorter so it made him look more stocky, but most of his opponents had 4-6 sometimes 7 inches on him, that’s a huge difference structurally, x ray them and you would see how much smaller Tyson was than most of his opponents. He absolutely had a boxing frame though there’s no denying that, i just wouldn’t go so far as to say he was bigger than most of his opponents. Again I’m not determining bigger in a sense of more muscle, but literal size of there Limbs, that all relies on height because height isn’t just seeing over people ,height is having a larger frame all around broader shoulders, bigger bones etc.
@lifewasgiventous16144 жыл бұрын
@@lifewasgiventous1614 I understand. I just get confused whenever someone interchangeably uses size and height together. I stated he was just as big, or bigger than his opponents because I checked his record where they listed his weight along with the opponent's. I really had no idea size=height for most people. Thanks for clarifying.

@@MrTaurrean I can get behind this. Seeing his blatant lack of fundamentals so clearly in his second fight with Fury as well as the fact Teddy Atlas said he didn't know how to fight shows what you said is very true. Best compilation of Tyson defense I’ve ever seen. Thank you!
I've seen these Tyson clips a dozen times over the years. Always impressive and I can barely believe it was the heavyweight division and that he was that young.
Tyson was short for his class , this guy is proof the bigger man doesn’t always win, he was chopping trees his whole career.
do you mean the taller man? tyson was just as heavy, or heavier than his opponents about 70% of the time.
Size is determined primarily by height. Taller people have larger bone structures.
Life was Given to us This is mostly true, but Tyson was structurally bigger than most of his opponents too, though. He had big wrists and ankles, his proportions were better than the average heavyweight even after accounting for height. Tyson had a true heavyweight structure, he was only short.
I really respect how humble Mike is now.
Can't get enough of Iron Mike videos. Just watch them over and over again 😆😆😆
I can watch MT videos for hours,and I often do. Look at his movements,just phenomenal No one else like him,before or after. Much love to you Mr Tyson.
Impetuous - acting or done quickly - moving forcefully or rapidly Impregnable - unable to be defeated or destroyed; unassailable He used the words correctly. Just sounds funny coming from him.
Cus taught him that
Davis Pham you dont know that. Tyson is smarter than you. Could’ve learned it himself.
@@jgbg6880 Cus told him to read books on war. I don't think without Cus, Mike even read
Davis Pham My mother taught me how to read. And study. She isn’t credited for everything I learn though. Cus just sparked something that was missing from his life, he was like that already.
Davis Pham Actually Tyson was an avid reader before Cus. Do not be fooled by the lisp.
Power, speed, accuracy.....Tyson was a beast.
Mike was on a level of his own 👊🏽
Even mike tyson defence compilation is full of knockouts
Idgaf what anyone says, I 100% believe if cus would’ve gotten 5-10 more years with him, this dude would’ve never lost a match
Yep Cus had him together.. That was the best version of Tyson when he was alive..
Noahsusong yea
I'm hard pressed to find a heavyweight in history to beat a PRIME Tyson, mainly because of his defense. And wit Cus...Whew...
you might be right
Noahsusong 🎯Exactly
So we ain’t gonna talk about how vicious his left hook is. If Wilders right hand is a bomb. Then Tysons was on the Atomic level
Zay Duncan and mike had that in both hands
Nuclear powered sledgehammers!
the scary part is that tyson even said that his left hook was not his strongest punch, his right cross was
That left hook is something else. You know what's really special about Tyson is he can punch from any angle with ridiculous power... So he could be off balance and with one flick of his wrist knock you on ya ass..
Mike blow is more than an atomic bomb when compared with Wilder. These guys have not really given me entertainment. Mike was just fun all the way
A lot of fans love Mike's knock outs... I'm always in awe of his incredible defense that led into his knockouts.
I'm not a boxer. Against tyson should't you target more is body than is head ? or tyson had counter against that ?
Me too
Speed, power, a solid defense and a great chin. He had all the ingredients.
9:05 There it is. The man doesn't just randomly move his head, he actually MEANS every MOVE. This comes at a totally different level of mastery of a sport. Respect!
Also at 1:56....nicely done...this is just art

Best fighter in the world we will never see another tyson n my life time i never get tired of watching his fights so much impact i love it
He said in a video recently "I'm back!"... maybe we'll get to see him fight again? He looks as good as he did in 1985. Look it up!
As much as I love watching these videos, I love seeing Mike Tyson these days with some measure of peace and happiness.
5:40 Jesus the sound of that punch lmfao! That left hook man, so much power
5:20 Imagine taking a kidney shot from prime Tyson 😬😬😬
Have fun pissing blood
It must feels like the shit is being knocked out of ya
Not me
Might as well take out that kidney since it's probably not working anymore
Hard pass
Mike Tyson is just a different breed of boxer there will never be another boxer like him
You can really appreciate the effectiveness of his head movement and foot placement not only to make his opponents miss, but to counter them well in the process. Chances of seeing anything close to a style like this won't really happen again. Thank you Mike for what you brought to boxing!

I love this man so much. What a sensational, relieving and calming comeback he’s given his fans. He is sincerely undisputed in the purest form. I’m so happy he’s healthy.
I could watch these clips all day long!
His defense needs to be in a beauty pageant cause that was beautiful to see
I seen 3 fights live,and watching his defense was worth the 800 dollars .Don King got his 796.00 and Tyson earned his 4.but Tyson still had to pay the taxes on the 800. If there is a hell,Don King better get used to the heat.its going to be a long hot swim across that lake of fire Don. U destroyed Tysons life and took years of entertainment from all walks of life ,by knocking 8 years off his career .
Derrick Nichols yes
Its so funny watching them swing with all their power and just miss everything. I just swung at the air with all my power and that shit sucks. I can only imagine how they feel actually trying to hit someone and just cannot lmao
Pretty dead joke.
That young Tyson - before alcohol, cocaine and sex abuse - would have Lennox, Holyfield, Joshua and Wilder for breakfast.
Victor Zuri he was great early in the middle Tyson was doomed
Noone believed he was a sex abuser especially when she turned up at his hotel room in the early hours, you don't do that to pull out a monopoly board do you haha..she just knew who he was and wanted fame and money like a tramp and mike suffered because of her with his reputation on the line, she got what she turned for in the early hours, when you turn up for it it's not rape is it obviously, still makes me mad to this day, he didn't deserve it

The thing about mike is to have the defense he had yet he was always so aggressive is what's amazing
Tyson is easily one of the ten greatest heavyweights ever. This is a great video. While even the older Tyson had good head movement, the young Tyson's speed is just so exceptional. The 86-88 Tyson would beat any heavyweight that came after him and most heavyweights that came before him.
Who did Tyson beat in 86'-'88 that leads you to believe that?
In my eyes he is the most perfect boxer of all time . He is also my inspirational character.
Kungfu Master relax. He ain’t even top 5
Physically maybe, mentally no way.
Agree with you. Ali was also the greatest. Two different reasons. But they were the best in my mind. Ali has my top spot overall tho. Tyson is equally awesome with his own attributes. In his own right.

Tyson was a genius in his prime, today he's a mega genius.
It’s very unusual for a fighter as stocky as Tyson was to be so elusive AND get speed and leverage on his shots. That took some amazing training and conditioning!
You can see it, shifting his weight on every slip, prepared for that explosive hook, hovering for a second to force an attack and you see as soon as we see the opening so does Mike and just BOOM! lights out, it's just incredible, truly incredible
BOOM! ...good night, sleep well
yeah literally i kept rewinding his enemies have 1 ONE SINGLE CHANCE and if they dont get him off they are DONE FOR.. hes like a Bear or something.. he just waits for you to mess up ONE TIME and its ALL over.. he is a hunter for sure
Yes. Exactly. Then in the post prison/Douglas years, he stopped doing a lot of what made him great. Shows now much the mental part of the game means. Right now at 54, he looks like he did at 22. If I were current heavyweights, I’d be afraid.

This is not an opinion. Has to be a bonafide fact at this point
