Was no other Band Like Limp Bizkit. No other band is comparable. They hit in my many styles of music. Rock/Hip Hop/etc & killed it All. They came along at the right time in music & exploded. There were other bands just like them BUT Limp just showed out at EVERY opportunity & We all ate it up & still do.

The Who are an amazing band, with some incredible songs, but this is BY FAR the best version of this song. Fred took it in a completely different direction, he connects with it in a way that makes it feel like it was always his song. Cheryl Crow does a decent cover of Fred’s take on this song too. That she did a cover of his cover, and not a fresh take on the original, says a lot Scott how iconic this version is.
@zidapi Жыл бұрын
@@zidapi Man I loved your comment but I just can’t agree with opinion. In regards to rock music, The Who were the honest to god best to ever do it, in the top three at least. Every song they penned, they made the best version. A handful of their songs were covers and those are debatable. I still prefer their version of all their covers, exempt maybe Summertime Blues. I see this kind this same comment a lot with Love, Reign O’er Me and Pearl Jam, and Eddie Vedder specifically. I just can’t see anyone having a “better” approach or take on the music of these certified masters.

@@allbottledup9513 Yeah Daltry's vocals are just so powerful and the emotional journey he takes you on ranging from contemplative to rage and frustration within each song is tremendous. To me the emotional impact is much greater when the Who suddenly tones it down from explosive and raw to contemplative in this song. To be fair there weren't then and aren't today many rock singers that could match Daltry's vocals and how well they paired with Townsend's angry guitar licks, accompanied by one of the best ever drummer/bassist combos in rock history. To me it's why they are among the five greatest pure hard rock groups ever. (Stones, Who, Zeppelin, Queen, Jimi Hendrix Experience. I don't include Punk Floyd or The Beatles because they are both on a different plane musically, transcending categorization in many ways.)

I went to school with Fred. Everyone loved him. Beautiful man. Beautiful song
Seems like that kinda guy. If youve met him hes probably impossible to hate. But hes not like other people so from afar it puts some off.
it was written by the who
Great that you went to school with him, but the song is not his. e.g., here are lyrics you probably never heard. When my fist clenches, crack it open Before I use it and lose my cool When I smile, tell me some bad news Before I laugh and act like a fool And if I swallow anything evil Put your finger down my throat And if I shiver, please give me a blanket Keep me warm, let me wear your coat No one knows what it's like To be the bad man To be the sad man Behind blue eyes

I love you Arlene. I was feeling a lil blue yesterday and I decided to change that heartache energy into an energy of love. I actually did it,and i know you’re going to be alright. My goal is to become love itself, and I’m on my way. Music is a great way to change your energy, especially when we lose a love we thought would never end. I’m sorry for your loss. Remember, everything is only temporary here. Even love. Someone you don’t know loves you. Isn’t that awesome? Have a great new year!
The power of music will reignite your ability to love again. Wishing you the best on this journey called life. ❤
Me too
This is one of the best covers I’ve ever heard. Say what you want about Limp Bizkit but to me they are one of my all time favorite bands.
👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤

Rest In Peace to my friend Brian. ❤️🩹
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice meeting you here.
No one knows what it feels like to miss the chorus n keith moon's rolling drum beats 😪
Exactly my thoughts. Why would you cut out the heavy bit?
As I'm watching angry birds with my niece and nephew i heard this song once again..that nostalgia feels 😊
Na man the nostalgia you’re feeling is fake I imagine the one your thinking is by the who

I'm so in limp with these guys they're my favorite band of all times Freddy take me to your concert in LA
I'm older, the world was different then. We grow in life but reflect on what was and it was amazing. My kids have no idea how hard we did everything back then. Break Life everyday, thanks Fred and Company.
Atemporal ❤
Still such a great song. Remember this song so vividly as a youngin.. Gives me way more feelz at 29 then it ever did back then.
at 38 still one of my most favourite songs of all time. What an era to grow up in
