My father used to play musics like these when I was little until I learned to love and appreciate it. He passed away last February and every time I play or listen songs especially from the 70-90s I always remember him. Thank you for making me love musics like this. Miss you, Dad

Metallica, when this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you 💕

One of the greatest albums ever recorded!!! Metallica took a lot of heat from their die hard fans about "going soft" but everyone eventually came around and realized what an absolute masterpiece "The Black Album" really was and it still holds up 30 years later!

My dear dear friend Tim passed away earlier in november. He died at the age of 33 years old and he was one year older than me. His birthday was the day before mine. So my 33 birthday will be hell because we always talked on the 4th. This was his favorite band and this song was played on his funeral yesterday. Fucking heart breaking and the sorrow wont heal. He was the funniest person you could ever know and always had a girl by his side. He never ever went home alone. And we partied every weekend and sometimes more than that for many years. He was awesome and I loved seeing him bring the ladies home. He will be so so missed by a lot of people. My life will never be the same again without him. I love him now and forever and Metallica will always be a reminder of him. So this song is for Tim

My father died this last Friday, I found out after he loved Metallica and honestly I did listen to a song or two by them before so I was a little bit familiar with their genre. He had been in the nursing home since 2021 and died at 42. He has always been in bad condition and had Leukemia. Keep rockin' up in heaven, I'll be up there to join you when I get older

It is so funny to look back and think that when this came out, so many people said they were washed up or finished as a band. This was less than a decade into their career. Here we are 30+ years after Metallica was founded. Unreal how much this stands up.

- Where did you get that claim from? 1991 was their 10th year ( a decade ) as a band, and just 3 years ago they released their first video and played at the grammys. They were definitely not " washed up " as a band as you can see from each album they were improving so much. The only time they were really washed up was when jason left, james went to rehab. That could have ended badly.

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - The Chess Piece” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I'm now a 61 yrs. Old. With grandkids. I Loved Metallica from the beginning & still love them today, now I've shared these songs with my kids, grand kids, nieces & nephews so they can truly know what great music really is. I tell them to listen to The music, & the lyrics to this song & others are still so deeply felt. I want them to have an appreciation of great music & grow up around it as I did, as my Dad played music when I was a child.
