I upgraded from an 8+ to a 13 pro max and from that perspective, the improvement of tech is pretty incredible.

I’ve upgraded from the 11 to the 13 pro max, and I gotta say, the screen is so much better, 120HZ and perfect color and it gets really bright. The cameras are also nice and the new features are fun, and the battery absolutely blew me away, I’ve never been able to get through a full day without charging.

Going from an iPhone XS to the 13 Pro Max is an insane change. The battery life is absolutely insane. I had a slow day at work and managed to rack up over 7 hours of screen time. I still had 41% battery life. Its borderline unbelievable.

I got the iPhone 13 Pro Max, to record gaming videos on the phone. I definitely noticed promotion in action. I got used to it, then went back on the iPhone 12 Pro max to record other parts of the game, and wow… it felt super choppy. I definitely enjoy the 120hz so much.

I’ve had an iPhone 8 for 3 years and the screen suddenly froze. So me and my family decided to get the 13 pro as an upgrade. Man, it was insane! The cinematography mode on the camera was simply amazing. I loved how flexible and quick you can transition between different apps.

Still using the 13 pro in 2023, absolutely love it still. Will probably hang onto it for at least another year or two
I am not a fan of the feature where they disable faceID if you change the screen yourself, even if you use an OEM Apple screen. It is a shame how they are tying the newer & superior technology to the slow conditioning of consumers that the device isn't theirs to do as they please with.

Louis thank you for being a voice for all of us in this space. These phones are very good phones, Apple please make them less disposable, it is more eco friendly and it is pro consumer. Apple has always had diehard loyal consumers, and they were one of the first trillion dollar companies to pass the milestone. They are rich and successful as it is. They do not need to nickel and dime consumers to remain solvent.

Going back to this video bec I just upgraded to 13pm. And I must say, as a regular person, yes. I did notice the difference in screen quality and “ProMotion” display. I’m coming from an 11 and the very first thing I did was to compare the refresh rate. And oh boy!!! The buttery smooth scrolling and animation of the 13pm is outstanding 💙
I’ve been using my iPhone 6S since 2015. 3 new batteries and many memories later after 6.5 years, it was finally time. It had zero disk space despite apps uninstalled and then Bluetooth died. I ordered an iPhone 13 Pro 256 from Apple and it arrived the next day. The jump in performance, battery, cameras, display, is just massive. Looking forward to many years with this one!

I switched over to the 13 pro max specifically because I need a good battery life for my job, because I’m out on the road for up to 12 hours at a time, and I reliably get a full day of screen on time with my maps displayed and some music or KZhead playing in the background, and I reliably still get through the day. Genuinely great battery life, even for very heavy use cases
This finally pushes me for an upgrade from my iPhone X. I've been holding out on upgrading for 4 years now. I know the difference will be big for sure!

I just did the same, although I never replaced by X battery. The battery life upgrade is ridiculous and the cameras and so good in comparison. The screen is nice but not super noticeable

I upgraded from a iPhone 8 Plus that I’ve had since it came out, to the 13 Pro Max, and it was an awesome upgrade! The 13 Pro Max is a great phone. My favorite new feature has to be the battery life. Battery usually lasts me 2 days. Huge upgrade compared to my 8 Plus’s battery that would last half a day lol.

I just did the upgrade coming from the se2 to the 13pro and I can tell the huge difference lol. The only thing that is really a let down is the lack of touch id. Come on Apple, I’ve been using that for years and now is gone? Besides that, I love the “new” body design, something I really missed when I did the upgrade from the 5s to the 7.
I’ve upgraded from an 8 to the 13 pro and the difference between screen and camera quality is unreal. The sierra blue colour is so nice, happy I chose it over the graphite

5:26 Can fully confirm. When I first got my iPad Pro I literally could not tell the difference. A week later, every 60 Hz display felt like a mess.
The iPad Pro runs at 120 more consistently. The pro phones don’t spend nearly as much time with 120

I just realized that my monitor I was using was only set to 60hz when. it was fully capable of doing 144hz. So I have used my 144hz monitor on 60 he for more than 2 years while I thought it was 144

I feel you man, this happened with me with my current monitor too. It was 144hz for games but for normal desktop usage it was 60hz. Only found out half a year later, now it makes a world of a difference.
That's exactly why I say regular people don't care about refresh rate. Some won't notice, some don't care. I'm happy with 60hz.

I don’t know if this is an earlier upgrade since I just upgraded from an XR, but one thing I noticed right away is the speaker upgrade. There’s a crazy big improvement, no more tin can sound.

As a 120hz phone user, whenever my phone goes into low power mode and switches down to 60hz it feels like my phone is lagging and stuttering like crazy. So yeah, the difference between 120hz and 60hz is massive.

S21 ultra here. I love my 120hz refresh. It's hard to go back to 60hz.. but thankfully my battery life doesn't take a bit hit even when all my settings are maxed. I get roughly a day to a day and a half, sometimes two days on one charge. The iPhone 13 looks beautiful though. It's just hard for me to transition to iPhone. I've owned Samsung and apples devices throughout my life but I've owned every + model iteration since the galaxy S5 and I do have to say in terms of OS simplification and sleekness Samsung has won me over. It's catching up to iOS in terms of polish. My phone no longer lags or freezes like in previous models. No matter which phone you go with either of them are great and people should stick to preference but I'm keeping an open mind with apple in the future.

Eh, all of my gallery is already uploaded to iCloud, which just syncs automatically. I haven't needed to connect my iPhone to my Mac since 2018

What you're saying about ProMotion I think is very true. It was the same when they went to retina displays. It wasn't totally this "OMG! I can't believe it!" thing. I remember when I got the first retina iPad. I thought it looked nicer than my 1st gen one but...... Then after using the retina one for a couple weeks I went back to the non-retina one and thought it looked like garbage.

A memorable moment for me, is when I was trying to get low light pictures on my iPhone XS and it was terrible. I was in NYC with my friend, trying to take a photo of the same low-lit alley and jeez it made me reconsider Apple. I’m excited for this new camera!

I upgraded from the iPhone 12, and didn’t expect a huge difference, but wow this phone is superior in every way. The screen and the cameras are the biggest differences obviously and I feel like I have an expensive phone. Very top notch. Couldn’t be happier. I am worried about the storage though but I might finally have to get a hard drive to store photos

Came from a X that I got when it released and just upgraded to a 13 Pro and man has it been crazy how long the battery lasts. I find myself being super paranoid about it “dying soon” and then I remember that it’s at 80% and that’ll last hours longer. It’s a huge upgrade and a very welcome one.
Same here, got the X on launch day and tried the pro max for a few days, but it feels heavy to me even if battery life is incredible. I am going to try the regular pro and make my decision, the only thing I can say for now is that even if at first sight a phone feels heavy or enormous, the human mind adapts to it quite fast and now I kind of miss the huge screen

Same here! Launch day X to 13 pro. Went from 2.5 hours screen on time to upwards of 8-9, it’s unbelievable. Even the X with a brand new battery wouldn’t have been anywhere near close.

I just went from the XR to the 13 pro max and the first thing I noticed was how smooth and crisp everything on the screen is. The battery life is also incredible, I have a lot of down time at work so I spend a lot of time on KZhead. My old XR lasted about 5 to 6 hours before needing a charge. This new pro max can go for 10 hours of continuous use without falling below 50% battery.

I find it cool that you even mention smaller details like the camera bump being a tiny issue on the duo charger, are there any other niche things like that, that didn't make the cut or weren't worth mentioning? :)
A little one I noticed is the lock and volume buttons were moved about 1cm down from the 12 Pro, so they're easier to reach. Small tweak, big usability upgrade. Also the speaker for actual phone calls being right on the top edge of the device (leading to smaller notch) seems to get fuzz from your pocket stuck in it easier.

I got 17hrs screen on with 11% remaining. This was on my 13 pro max. The battery is no joke
That’s nice , but charge it at 20% and you don’t need to charge it back to 100%. You can keep it at 90% its better for the battery, my iPhone 12 is still at 100% capacity

@@James-oi6gr no i don’t use it, I’ll go to IG on my pc if I need to. If it’s an important call sure I’ll pick it up. Another good tip, leave it on marble while charging or another cold surface it helps it cool down while charging, wood just makes it warm up a lot. Mine doesn’t even warm up while charging thanks to that.

Decided to upgrade from a 12 pro max because I really wanted something with a bigger battery and this phone is amazing. Battery life is more than enough for me. Loving the pro motion and camera. This was the phone I wanted when the 12 pro max came out.

I love Sierra blue! They grey/silver look is awesome and when the light hits it just right and makes the blue pop, it’s amazing!
Watching this on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, 256 GB, Sierra Blue. Coming from an S8+ Coral Blue which is a few years back, I can really feel the jump across the board from the size, weight (very dense). Cameras are really good (landed also on the Rich Contrast style) and the battery is really a chef's kiss, I'm getting from 9 to 10 hours of screen on time and that's mixed use + ProMotion on. Really a good phone and iOS has now become good again (last one was a 4s) but still a lot more to go. Overall, a great phone to buy.
my XR was getting bad, so i recently upgraded to the 13 pro. the 120Hz and pro motion is really obvious to me! i still use my XR sometimes since i still have stuff on there, and there difference between 60Hz and 120Hz is really noticeable.

For this review, I’m cranking up the brightness, the volume up, and switching to 4K so I can watch it the way God and Marques intended.

I’ve been using this phone for a good month. And switching from iPhone 7 to an 13 Pro, I see a lot of improvements in terms of battery, speed, and display. I think I immediately noticed the 120 hertz from like just scrolling KZhead and it feels and looks so much faster than my iPhone 7. The cameras while they are good, they don’t do as well as I thought it would in low light situation. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, and I’ll probably need to look at tutorial for it. But overall, the screen is brighter, audio is louder, display is so much clear. I love watching 4K videos on it, and even with using this phone for like an entire day on and off, I can get up to 100 to 50% in one day. That’s pretty good for an iPhone which tend to not always have the best battery when I’m watching video. But it’s still pretty good. Overall, a huge upgrade than my iPhone 7, if you have an older phone than mine, you’ll definitely notice the changes. Great phone, amazing cameras(can’t wait for ProRes to come), and just a good experience with the iPhone 13 Pro.

When gaming, going from 144HZ back to 60HZ feels like going down to 2HZ. 120HZ feels a lot closer to 144HZ.

That’s so true The only noticeable difference for me too is between 60hz and 120hz And even then it’s not as drastic as to say that 60hz is laggy It’s just that 120hz is faster lol

I’m still using my 13 Pro, it’s perfect. I’ve tried the 14, 14 Pro/PM, 15 Plus, 15 PM and I’ve always came back to the 13 Pro. It’s still on iOS 15 and it just works.
