Today our Power Wheels Barbie Mustang gets a Turbo! A BR VZ21 Mini Turbo Charger to be exact( amzn.to/2BPftz9 ). This should make 7-14 pounds of boost and push us over our 90MPH goal. In this video we also instal a small oil cooler and make custom turbo flanges.
We couldn't find much information on turbo charging air cooled dirt bike engines so we are figuring it out as we go. Any and all feedback is welcome! Hit us up below. Cant wait to take a turbo charged go kart on the streets!

The amount of fabrication for this little go kart is awesome, I have a lot of admiration for how far you guys are willing to go on such a small car. Makes me wish I had a garage so bad lol

Before reading comments....nice project. When turbo charging you need to be able to add a ton more fuel, i have seen a neat setup where the bro used a chainsaw carb teed into the intake and wired it with the cable splitter off an old 2 stroke bike with the oil pump. From about ¾ throttle on it opened the chainsaw carb as well as the main carb that was re jetted as well. He thought maybe just a larger carb would work but bogged hard so the " extra " carb solved it. Regular carb for pottering around and both when on full song and under boost. Hauled ass and kicked in like vtech lol...
As a car guy I must say this is crazy you guys should NEVER stop doing what you're doing. Can't wait to see what this thing does once you have all the bugs worked out.

Every time I see someone throwing out one of these electric kid's cars, I want to throw an engine in it lol.
And here you gotta pay hundred to even trash condition one, those are not that common here.
Don’t forget new chassis for rigidity, new wheels and tires, new suspension, new steering assembly. It’s essentially a gocart. So it’s going to cost more than $100. A lot more.

There's typical off the shelf kits to outfit small air cooled single cylinder carbureted engine to fuel injection, it only needs a few input signals to convert to fuel injection that's programmable for boost

Though they need to finish it and unfuck up multitude of things, like fuel pump as oil pump, when engine has its own oil pump. Trow that carburator away and fit in off the shelf fuel injection kit, before they fuck up whole engine running it lean. And there is many other problems with this cart.

Your flowing too much current through the pump man you need to put a speed controller on it then it will work it’s a scavenger pump it’s not meant to really build pressure so you need to take the speed of the engine down in order for it to constantly run hope this helps hopefully you see the comment

Yes unless your pump is from the dollar store they create pressure
not only are you bad at being a smart ass, but uneducated. pumps create flow. if you go to any mechanic and say your oil pump crates pressure for your system he will immediately know you're brain is less dense than your air-less bike tire.

Please during fabrication can see your protecting your hearing big thumbs up but they won’t stop you ending up blind so please make an example and use protective glasses to ! Safety is not a dirty word boys 👍🏻

Just got a go kart and first thought was turbo. Second was, I know the grind hard boys had to have made one. Third, seeing how much Ethan has bulked up over the years is nuts.

Make sure you dont run it lean! You will melt your piston. Fix your fuel problem before running it.
lean is efficient if you go extreme (18:1)

I’m confused is the engine he used a two-stroke or four stroke because if it’s a four stroke it just won’t run well and if it’s a two-stroke it’ll run good but burn a hole in your piston

@@shaharyarkhan6382 no he is right it would ruin the point of a Power Wheel why because Power Wheels always have sticker lights they don't add real lights only on the premium versions plus this is only to have fun not to drive on the street it's not your car to go to a grocery store it doesn't need turn signals

And use 0w-20 oil for the turbo’s oil system, you’ll be able to flow more oil from the pump and have less resistance in the bearing.
