Beginner's guide for new RTS players Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance on Forged Alliance Forever.
As a dummy who is just getting into this game in 2022, i found your video very helpfull, thankyou. Its crazy how much more complex and detailed this game is compared to modern ones.
ye the game is not that easy to get in to
how you doing now? you been playing rank? if so what is your rankings
On the topic of power storage around generators: Surrounding your PGens with energy storage has more downsides rather than just being extremely volatile. Its simply not mass-efficient. One energy storage costs 250 mass. To fully surround a T3 PGen you need 4x4=16 storages. 250x16=4000 mass. A T3 PGen costs 3240 mass and produces double the amount of the adjacency bonus from the storages. If you need power, dont build storages, build PGens. Its less volatile and will yield you more power per mass. Building a number of single storages to unlock overcharge on your ACU and create a buffer in case you go into negative power income is ok, but surrounding your Gens is a waste of ressources.
Truly the Eco of SupcomFA is a major part of its steep learning curve. Your video is short, sweet, and to the point. Thank you.
I learned some new things in this video that I hadn't in other tutorial vids, so I appreciate the effort you put into this! The "bad example" at the end was great 😂 🤖 💥
2 years later and still helpful Thanks :)
Great tips. I have updated my templates based on your video, and I have played for years. Example: I always built T1 power next to T1 mass extractors. Thanks.
Astrofoo thank you for this guide this was spot on, been looking for a short but simple guide about how to build eco in Supreme commander FA I come from TA . I owned the SC games but had a hard time with the economy build and kept getting frustrated with it. Thank you very much sir.
Thanks for your support! It is certainly a steep learning curve, but worth the effort once you get it.
If im not misteaken, powergens next to the shield also increseases regen of this shield.
Great stuff.
Thank you for this video and explanation, I kept getting bottlenecked by running out of mass. I was completely unbalanced.
good video, is just that for me the audio seen to be sligt out of sync, but itcould be glitch with the velocity x2 on yotube
same happened to me
That's weird, it wasn't like that when I uploaded the video initially. I'll have to find out why it's done that now.
Very nice instructional video. Clear and easily understood.
Bro I love you so much this helped me so much I had no clue what to do in this game
I only ever played supreme commander 2, and picked up the rest of the games on sale a few days ago. Very helpful guide, thankyou.
great video super sick explanations
great videos! i hope you continue doing some more guides. my biggest question is when to upgrade to T2 and T3 would be awesome to get a video :D
Very well explained
T3 pgens surroundded by T2 mass fabs is more efficient than the combination with T3 mass fabs. It's also a bit less volatile.
Love the video, do you have some mods or advanced options on ? Been playing FA recently (campaign) and mass extractors can't skip from tech 1 to 3. The thing where you right click on a mass extractor to build storages also doesn't work, might be a campaign issue.
I'm playing on Forged Alliance Forever, the community supported client that has continued to update the game and add features such as the one you mentioned. I highly recommend playing on FAF. It's free to join as long as you already own the game.
Supreme Tutorial: Forged Understanding
audio was about a minute off from the video
Never build power storage.
why
Because it's cheaper to build power
@@yuliofont271 overcharge , build at least one
