Such a banger of a mouse, great deal, great weight, and wow latest lag free 3370 sensor. -me in 2021
wait a minute isn't it 2026
well, it clearly doesn't target u at all then. there are so many people out there enjoying wired zowie experience still. having the experience the same but in a wireless form will definitely make them happy.
@@minusdrei6561 I mean I don't think he said anything related to the wired zowie mouse's but I see what you mean. Zowie's approach was obviously to join the wireless market, but continue with the quality and consistency they have with their wired options. don't fix what isn't broke.
@@minusdrei6561 zowie is still shafting their loyal customers with this ridiculous price though
@@minusdrei6561 I think he was pointing out the fact that they are using a wireless sensor from 2 years ago and charging $150 when you can get a wireless mouse with a 3395 for less than a $100.
If Boardzy is always in shock, would he ever be truly shocked?
Blasphemy
Shocked squared 😱^2
The boardzy paradox??
when we finally get viper mini pro
Would be a shocking reveal
190€ is SHOCKING

who cares, just get the pulsar xlite v3 version when released. lighter, newer sensor, optical switches and they have good proven latency. zowie is old shit
Boardzy always delivering... Thanks sir! Might snag this, love zowie quality. Wish the price wasn't so high though.
A heavy mouse with tech from 3 years ago and todays prices. Can't wait for Zowie to implement 4000hz polling in 2026. At least Vaxee, Lamzu and Pulsar and more are out there for consumers.
Weight is most likely due to people that like heavier weight like older csgo pros. 78 g isnt even that bad I was expecting like 120 or something
Man not everyone likes super light mice. I can’t play with mice that are less than 70g. I sold the DAV3 a week after trying and grinding.
@@RadicalizedRadical What I found personally is that lighter mice required me to lower my sensitivity compared to what I was used to. With heavier mice I feel like I can get better stability in my aim with somewhat higher sens values. But really I just ended up adjusting to a lower sensitivity after sometime and now I prefer lighter mice so long as they don’t compromise on their build quality/solid feel in hand to achieve it. Or holes in the shell etc - god I hate holes in my mice shells lol. For me as long as a mouse is 80g thereabouts and well balanced weight-wise it’s good with me on the weight front. Too many mice feel flimsy/hollow or have crap side buttons (I’m looking at you Superlight yuck those buttons) and I have to wonder if that’s because they pursued reduced weight above all else. Weight matters sure but it’s not everything. Imo shape/comfort in hand remains the most important thing overall if I have to choose.
Lol Zoomers who want every single mouse to be 50g are mega cringe
Latest tests have resulted in the EC CW actually having a lower response time than GP SL and Vaxee and Lamzu mice
Teflon and PTFE are actually the exact same thing, just two different names. But Zowie dyes theirs black rather than white which ends up making them feel more controlled.
doesnt always mean its more control but in general yea
Not to mention they don't leave white residue all over the pad. I love hyperglides on Zowie mice, but it wrecks black mousepads.
@@Aliothale Never heard anyone else mention that. What kind of pad are you using
@@magnus6683 Zowie GSR, Hypderglides leave a residue behind on everything though.
Yo bbg Boardzy what Skates you rec for the X2 med. I use a Hien and want something better than the stock feet, which were kinda lackluster to me.❤
PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) is Teflon. Teflon is DuPont's brand name for PTFE. The black PTFE is normally just mixed with something or dyed which gives it a lightly different texture. White is pure PTFE.
Exactly xD
something they are doing still seems off. considering for how long boardzy has had this mouse and him constantly rotating mice, there should be no way in hell the feet are scratched to fuck like that already.
transparent is pure ptfe rather than White
thank you, i was there like but teflon is ptfe
Is it confirmed that white Teflon is pure PTFE without any additives?
Just got this mouse and I LOVE how it feels, what I do not love is the product coming in defective. The mouse constantly disconnects, the wireless receiver turns red and white like a christmas tree and after plugging it into different usb sockets, changing LOD, and switching to dongle, it is safe to say I will be getting a refund and finding a different mouse or a replacement, but it really discouraged be from buying from zowie again especially when they lagged on my shipping +4 days.
Is there an official release date on your pulsar mouse yet?
I have a question irrelevant to the video. I'm still using the Finalmouse Ultralight 2 Capetown but it's breaking on me and I've already used my warranty replacement, do you think I should straight up buy the Lamzu Atlantis mini as the best upgrade and not worry about making a decision on getting a different mouse? I was originally thinking about the viper mini/wireless in the future, or just a GPX so I don't have to worry about anything. It came out not too long ago, it would be cool to see you review it as well.
Try to get 3d printed G305 base for Final mouse UL2. One of my friend uses UL2 for game and Basilisk for work. He like UL2 shape, but the driver and firmware is very annoying to deal with. So he get 3d printed base and put G305 PCB inside UL2. It's more reliable since it's easier to open and G305 PCB didn't break break easily.
@boardzy do you feel like the LGG Saturn PRO slows/wears down? Ive used mine heavily for fps games for 5-6 months now and its already starting to feel a bit muddy and slower. I could swap for some faster glides i guess, but heck maybe just buy a new saturn pro
Isnt it a cloth pad? Thought thats what they usually do.
GOOD review man..is there a zowie mouse similar to the logitech g305?
i have the death adder v2 pro I’m not a huge fan of the shape and feel should I go for this mouse or the v3
@boardzy do u plug the receiver directly to the pc or to the socket for electricity?
Would have likes to see a little more about the right and left clickers response. I've had a Razer Viper Ultimate for 2 years, which I like, but the clickers had very little resistance which I hated so much that I put little pieces of grip tape in the corners of them so they'd snap back better. Clicker rebound and resistance are important to a lot of us and you skipped right past those features..
Do you prefer this shape or the Dave shape?
İ used to have 1 zowie ec2a in the past(2017). The side buttons worned out too quickly to my playstyle. İ am curious if they improved
i want to see that enhanced receiver reverse engineered to see if it is actually different to an actual dongle someone just open that, im actually curious
Me too, im looking forward to Optimum Tech review, hope he test this enhanced receiver to see if there are any differences
Hi Boardzy. In scale 1-10 how hard is to scroll the wheel on your mouse? Mine is very very light. How is yours?
Looking forward to the arrival of the LAMZU Thron which brings a similar shape with much better specs, Zowie didn't impress me with this mouse.
Do you know when the lamzu will be available again? Also does It ship to Italy?
boardzy try out EmberEdgeKX100, i'm pretty sure it's on pre-order but ships march 1st
Minor correction, PTFE (Poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene) is the chemical name of Teflon. "Teflon is not a product on its own, but a brand name of a product. It refers to a chemical coating known as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)"
Will you be doing a review of the gwolves htx 4k soon?
Isn't Teflon and PTFE the same? The black skatez and the white one are both 100% PTFE but designed for different speeds and feeling
PTFE is by nature white, so the black skates aber PTFE mixed with something black (carbon?)
Is there any quality improvements compared to the ec2-c?
Maybe the main clicks and wheel but could just be copy to copy variance
I think the price and the "outdated" sensor definitely makes this a hard sell. I'm currently maining the Xlite V2 and I love it, especially at the price. The value just doesn't seem there, been a long time since I used a Zowie mouse.
Who actually notices a difference between sensors though really? I've got mice from over 10 years ago that I still use for shape the g9x being one and I'm just as accurate if not more accurate even with their older shittier sensors..
Big fan of these products, been using mine for years, really durable, precise, big and ergonomic. Amazing.
The vaxee outset is an improved ec. It's over for zowie once a wireless version of the outset is released
The Outset doesn't have nearly the level of quality as the Zowie. Feels like a cheap knockoff TBH.
I'll hold out for the Pulsar Xlite v3.
Seriously good move.
Did Vaxee send you the wireless XE yet?
Looking forward to Lamzu Atlantis mini review!
Only thing shocking about this one is the huge price tag.
Can you feel a difference in motion latency compared to the Dav3? the enhanced receiver makes the mouse a bit snappier or feels the same than with standard receiver?
Honestly dude, unless you got Zowies 360hz, you're probably not going to be perceiving such minor delays. However, hausgaming ran some tests with the mouse so maybe go check out his review, can't remember what his findings were but the performance was solid.
@@p1va9 u can feel the difference between wired and wireless easily, wireless is way less stable and some mice have horrible micro stutters to.

Almost 210 euros on maxgaming absolutely crazy
Zowie needs to update the Celeritas II keyboard - absolutely love that thing regardless of its many faults.
how come
If they come out with a wireless ZA13, I will spend an exorbitant amount of money for it.
Small detail I noticed when I switched back to my Lethal Gaming Gear Saturn Pro mousepad, and I figured it's worth noting so that others with this issue on their pads can be aware. For some reason, the weave on this pad does not play nice with the lowest lift off distance setting. No issues on most pads, but on low you get significant jitter and pixel skipping. Fairly unplayable in most scenarios and very noticeable particularly in Valorant. Medium showed no issues, and performs just fine. Assuming high is also without issue. To change them, do the following: Mouse OFF - then turn one while pressing: Press Mouse 4 + 1 for LOW lift off. Press Mouse 5 + 1 for MEDIUM lift off. (Use this if you have the skip issue on your pad.) Press Mouse 4 + 1 + 2 for HIGH lift off. (Use this is if you're insane.)

That employee's rant is absolutely embarrassing. How the hell do you blame consumers when you price your mouse alongside competitors whose features are years ahead of you? Who gives a shit about resale value when you're overpaying so much to begin with? "You can still afford it if you really want it." I mean yeah, but $150 for that mouse in particular is insane. Plus they're charging so much in Europe that buying Zowie wireless mice is basically a charitable donation to a for-profit company at this point.

No, I actually preferred the old mushy side buttons because they were impossible to missclick (Going from typing to grabbing mouse, I now sometimes hit the back button by accident). Now they have light clicky buttons like you'd find on a Deathadder. They are nice, can't complain, I preferred the old ones though.

One thing I would love to know is how the wireless implementation feels like compared to other mice - Pulsar, Razer, etcs. Is it more consistent? How is the delay looking like? Does it feel more like wired? Is there any improvement over loss of signal (in numbers, not just loose words). I recon that Vaxee have extensively explored the wireless implementation to give the closest to wired experience, but I still think the difference is so marginal that it can't even be felt.
It already beats everything Logitech, Pulsar, Lamzu, Ninjutso has put out in the last year in low latency. Vaxee has explored - nothing but words at this point, Zowie released theirs and just gave that performance figures at release. It doesnt beat Razor, but given they did it on a 3370 sensor tells you how much better their team are working to produce an actual product to be used in pro/lan tournaments.
@@tywoods7234 iirc doesnt beat out gpx and gets obliterated by razer wireless
@@tywoods7234 Logitech GPX beats the Zowie in wireless performance and latency based on reviews so far and that is an old mouse now.
Nothing feels like a “wired” mouse. All wireless mice ive had have a noticeable “lag” to them. Almost like they are switching from 1000hz to 500hz randomly (or lower). Especially when say a youtube playlist video ends and it switches to the next video on the playlist. Its very noticeable then. Maybe this zowie mouse would be different though.
0:40 tbh, the build quality of zowie since the c series wasnt that great. All the mice I used I experienced creaking with side walls and the side button quality was also subpar. lotta wobble of mouse 4 and one would portrude more than the other
The only mouse I have with out of the box sensor tracking issues was a zowie. Lmao their QC and "stability" cope is sad.
Been buying Zowie mice for 8 years now and never once experienced a single one of those issues. I own 12 Zowie mice BTW, I buy a new one every year to see what improvements they have made, because they literally update their mice with every batch they produce with small changes.
ZOWIE 205 GRAMS (SHOCKINGLY LIGHT) 😳
finding ptfe skates for that mouse is like finding diamonds during the gold rush I eventually found it but damn
All I want in this world is for Zowie to make an EC1.5 T_T In terms of size/dimensions that is - EC2 is a bit too small for me to palm comfortably for long game sessions but the EC1 is just a behemoth. The EC2-CW seems pretty great and all, but the price seems too high to me. EDIT: I appreciate recommendations for similar products, thanks guys - but the thing is 9 times out of 10 they just aren’t as good in other ways as Zowie’s product. For example, I can’t stand holes in my mice shells and the EC2-C has exceptional build quality, click feel, side buttons, and I even love the sharp crisp notchy wheel for games (not browsing but for games it’s a solid wheel imo). Other mice even if the shape is similar just fall short of Zowie in other ways. Even the DA V3 Pro fees flimsy and has common build quality problems by comparison (see the Technies video comparing the EC2-CW and the DA V3 Pro for example). What I’d love personally is two things: 1) Official Zowie EC1.5 (in terms of size/dimensions) 2) Zowie updates their shell material/coating to something more like the Superlight’s or the chalky matte shell of the DA V3 Pro. The one thing I really dislike about Zowie mice is their “glooey” perfectly smooth cheap plastic feeling shells. It wouldn’t kill them to switch to a unibody shell with proper split trigger switches either imo.

Pulsar x2/x2 mini should work for you
I use claw grip but think that the shape is pretty interchangeable for the grips, I love the EC series for my style, but I would recommend further research.
I also use a super light and I have never really used any ergo mouse. Based on my understanding mouse shapes like this shouldn’t be good for fingertip unless you have enormous hands, shapes along the lines of the razer viper lineup should be quite good for fingertip, while the ec2 and the deathadders should be good for claw. Can be a hot take but palm just isn’t that good of a grip for competitive fps titles, I’m a Csgo player btw.

xlite v2 is almost virtually identical and has a better sensor. once V3 versions of pulsar mice come out this will be a completely outdated mouse.
as someone who listened to comments like this, this is not true. I bought the xlite v2, shape is super close but still doesn't have that glove-like feel. Used it for a bit anyways and figured I just needed to get used to it, nope. It turned into a creaky, flexy piece of junk. Went back to my EC2-A. Lvl 9 faceit player and I don't see a difference in sensors. I think people get too caught up on what's on paper vs actual implementation and function.
well said, too bad it isn't 4 kHz and lighter. I've never used a zowie mouse but know they're made for CS and work well for bhopping. Once they catch up to the competition, I'll definitely consider maining a symmetrical option.
Company not put high polling rate mouse but they do make lighter mouse. Most games will not work with a polling rate higher then 1000hz. There are own two games that work with higher polling rate like csgo and valorant.
