She has been raised well Mashallah...May Allah bless her
Very good
I stumbled upon one of your videos in the recommendations, only a week ago, and subscribed immediately. I too want to immigrate but don't have the means. May Allah may it easy for us. Xx
Ameen inshallah, pray Allah SWT makes it easy for you and ur family 🙏
Same, Insha'Allah Allahuma Ameen🤲🏼💚 for all Ummah who are looking to migrate from the west or anywhere else for more Islamic and affordable life🤲🏼💚 #boycottwest
Same. I wish i had the finances to move out ..
Easiest way is to marry a local😂
@SairaHayati Please sister, could you please make content about medical care, which kind of medical insurance to take for european retired ( from Switzerland), what are the best medical centers in malaysia? Are their anywhere or only in big cities? Etc...Thank you very much for your precious videos !.
Malaysia is soo colourful: wanna taste of; Japanese, Korean style - Aeon Mall. Local Malaysia fusion - Mydin Mall, Giant. Western influence - Aeonbig & lotus's (previously carrefour & Tesco). Arabian-turkish-pakistan - Lulu hypermarket.
And NSK😂
I'm also in Malaysia at the moment... Have been spending about £20 on average for a weekly shop for 2 people. Dreading the rocketing prices when I return to London next week 😢 Everything is about 5 times cheaper in Malaysia! Also possible to do ethical, non-zionst shopping in Malaysia e.g. I buy laundry stuff made in Malaysia or Indonesia, crisps from Brunei, Veggies from China, Navel oranges from Egypt etc
Actually you can get all the meats and vegetables much cheaper if you go to the weekly market (farmers market/wet market) which we call “pasar tani” here in malaysia. (You just need to know the location and what day it will be for your area. Because every neighborhood’s pasar tani can be on different day) Obviously the price will be cheaper compared to if you buy at supermarket. But of course if you shop at supermarket, it comes with the comfort.
Yes its fresher.
Pasar Tani in Malay “Farmers Market” 👍🏼
Thank you for the info. I was wondering if there was a Farmers Market.
You can also go to the ordinary market which we call Pasar Basah (wet market) which is held daily in the morning. We also have (Pasar Malam) night markets which is held weekly..for cheaper groceries, we also go to Econsave Supermarket. Some mini markets also sell fresh produce but they are a bit more expensive. And if you are from the T20 income bracket ( the rich group) they usually shop at Jaya Grocer, Village Grocer etc. For 100% halal grocery, we go to Mydin. There is no Non Halal section in Mydin. We also have the Pasar Borong (Wholesale Wet Market) which opens daily at very early in the morning (around 4am) n very cheap.
I think we should let Ms Saira gets herself acclimatised to the whole shopping experience at this level first. She needs to find similarities between Malaysia and UK before embarking to that phase of what the locals do. Pasar Basah or wet market…ours are not for the faint hearted. The smell, the whole market thingy are not her to experience yet. We locals still find wet markets kind of tummy churning and even more for foreigners like her. Dear Saira, avoid our wet markets at the moment until you are ready. You came from a sterile or “clinical” kind of environment in UK and our wet markets truly not yours to venture…just yet. Stick to your usual Aeon or Lotus for now yeah.
Actually those gift hampers usually companies buy for their customers or business partners, before Eid (during Ramadan). During Eid, when the Malaysian Muslims visit relatives and friends houses, we don't usually bring gifts. We will eat at the host house and we will give envelopes of money to the children (known as angpow).
Local beef supply is not large enough for the country. You have to go to the wet market if you want the local ones. The price are not that much cheaper though
Aku suka dengar sarah ni bercakap...nampak dia seorang wanita yang hebat dan bijak.😊❤
Semalam tengok dari chanel Saleh Family tang grocery ni😅
Great minds think alike 😃
I’m malaysian. I shop at Aeon too. Im still with you cos you’re enjoyable to follow. Welcome to Malaysia. You’re migrating to Malaysia makes me so proud of being Malaysian 🇲🇾😍
Hi, would you ever move to another country?
@@TazBo-wd2ig As Malaysian, whateva problem that we have in Malaysia, we face it, we try to solve it & we never think to migrate to other country.
Just a heads up.. check if what you buying has halal certification. Even though you are in malaysia not every single item is halal... even we as local check for halal certified in the pakaging before buying any item. For me if there are 2 of the same item and 1 has halal certification I will pick the one with halal one. The non halal section is normally for pork and alchohol stuff. All normal daily item/groceries you still need to check the label, Unless you are buying form a propper local wet/dry market. If its not from local malaysia , check for halal cert
This is really interesting ! Please keep this up as it’s something that is “real life”. Appreciate all your posts 👏🏼
Bersyukurlah Malaysia masih aman sejahtera Aamiin3
Ameen2
Jackfruit for me 5/10, local chempedak 10/10 - sweet aromatic caramel heavenly goodness
Loved comparing prices and seeing everything available in the shops !
Malaysia is a true gem many from UK want to immigrate but its no Thailand, it has CLASS!
chop the choy po soak with warm water to wash off the fermented salt and steam with meat, sesame oil and white pepper Yummy
Someone suggested that Ms Saira should try her daily/weekly shopping at local or wet markets. One of these days, you need to reveal your camera man 😅. He/She really has done some good work. Your videos are easy on the eyes and do not make me dizzy.
her husband
He’s shy 😂
@@SairaHayati 😂 its good to be shy anyway. Also, such a good camera man, serves the audience 👍🏻👍🏻
I've been guessing all the time because you never heard any beat or a sound or a word coming from the cameraman. A shy cameraman I've been told lol.
@@SairaHayati Shy is normal, but he able to resist laughing on some spontaneous jokes you have made, is another level of ability 😆
Terbaik puan Saira🌹
Im rarely go to aeon.. weekend is expansive. Weekdays is less expensive if not mistaken they hv discounted day… on wednesday if not mistaken. Night time after 8.0 pm price drop for some items. Normal day i’ll go to maidin. 😁
Love you presentation in these vlogs!
I lived in Malaysia, Aeon is a rip off, there are so many cheaper supermarkets there, can do the same shop for at least half the price if you went Lotus or Giant supermarkets
Aeon's ready to eat selection is great, though, and they do offer it at 30% (or more) discount after certain hours. Their veges are also fresher, way superior than the quality offered at Lotus and Giant.
Aeon is a scam
AEON is a joint venture company between Japan and Malaysia . Lotus's is a Thailand owned company's. Bagi ku AEON lah yg terbaik. Tidak terlalu mahal dan tidak terlalu murah.Aeon is cleaner than Lotus supermarket.
See I was hoping she would go to a store where the stuff is affordable. Not the most expensive options
Í like Aeon more fresher than other and veggies lasting the Way of packagings it stays longer. No waste.
Happy shopping 😊
Loving the honest, real-life videos, seem really down to Earth. Can’t stop watching, wish you all the best sister, I’ll be going to Malaysia for 6 weeks soon as part of my university degree so just getting an idea of the vibe and you’re really helping Jazakallah Khair.
Ty good to know a typical grocery spend. God bless. Ramadan mubarak
Thank you too
Very informative video, like your videos giving practical steps on how much food shop costs etc
Honey jack fruit is the trend of today in Msia to enjoy.
I really enjoy your video.. 👍👍
I am your new subscriber and i loved your videos .i have lived in Malaysia for an year and it was magical. I really loved that country. You make me nostalgic with your videos. Best thing was halal food everywhere
i love shopping at aeon mall melaka 😊 so entertaining watching you go shopping here.
I appreciate your honesty and great information given. I'm learning a lot from all your great comments. Malaysia is a place I will definitely be traveling too.
Interesting choice of u... Must be good at cooking too
I like watching your vlog ❤
Assalamu alaikum saira, mashaa Allah it's good to see you guys are settling in okay. Mashaa Allah I love your mum's independence and Hera looks really happy too. Thank you kindly for sharing your experiences with us. I really enjoyed this video. I've got to say, this supermarket looks a bit pricey and has a lot of imported products. I would love to see you shopping where the locals get their groceries. You are right it's more like a waitrose/marks and sparks, with meat from Australia! Where is the local butcher shop? I would love to see you shopping somewhere which is more malay with malay more products. I look forward to your next one.
In Malaysia you'd be called, 'Kak Yati'....😅
I loved watching this!! Keep your vlogs coming Saira 😊
Thank you! Will do!
So nice that you moved your mum out too, I've been to Malaysia 4 times but only to KL and tourist places so it's nice to see the parts that the locals actually visit
Nice !!
Love the content, watching all the way from the UK , missing my home in Malaysia so much! 😅 The grocery shopping in Malaysia is next level
Fun to watch your shopping. I shop at Aeon too, there's one near my house, another in the ahopping mall after my gym. Also Jaya Grocer just 5 min from my house if I need a few fresh produce. Jaya is more expensive but higher quality. For me, what's convenient in terms of parking, distance.
ماشاء الله تبارك الله عليك يا اختي الكريمه
I cant believe I stick through all the way till the end. It's a combination of your talking style and the shopping experience. I mean, thank you for bringing me shopping together with your virtually 😂
How fitting that the song played in the supermarket was ‘Senyum’ which means “just smile” which suits the mood of your video 😂
Salaamun`alaykum sister Saira Hayat .. your vlogs are hilarious, at least from my perspective, and I assure you nobody makes me chuckle as much as Miranda Hart until I chanced upon your YT Channel. Love the content that you deliver, the research into it .. prolly you might want to have playlists with related content so your viewers could zoom on those ... to your success! and welcome to Malaysia. Eid Mubarak, to you and family.
Malaysia is such a advanved country 😊

Love all the content around your move to Malaysia, could you please do one video about their schooling system, how much would it cost for someone to put their kids in a similar schooling systems as they were in the Uk. Thanks.
Nice video..
Yes!! I'm the first one here!
This is good insight for someone considering to migrate to Malaysia. Can you do one video for Indian/Pakistani groceries like rice, atta, dals etc. That would be super helpful
If you shop around Masjid Jamek /Kampung Bahru area there are plenty Indian Muslims,Pakistani shops for groceries.
Beautiful tasty looking jackfruit

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Ramadan Mubarak sister ❤❤❤❤❤
Sister love your videos and you've kinda convinced me to make the move insh'allah Can you make a video regarding schools please
Yes it’s coming! 🙈
Really look forward to it, as a father of 3 young children good schooling is pretty much at the top of the list and could be the deal breaker if fees are extortionate or quality of education isn't up to par Pretty much sold on everything else Already planning the family holiday this year to KL so we can get an initial feel of it Keep up the fantastic work you don't know how significant your videos are for those looking for a way out
@@VirtualAnomly Please do consider other cities as well, like Melaka, Penang, Selangor too. They are really good too, Malaysia is a gateway to the rest of ASIA.
@@VirtualAnomly if you are looking for International Islamic School, you have more options in KL. The syllabus are typically IGCSE which is somewhat similar to the UK. Fees are around £4-5k per annum. Some notable ones are: 1. Alhamra International Islamic 2. Al-Idrissi International 3. Spectrum International School 4. Seven Skies International 5. Greenview Islamic School 6. International Modern Arabic School
How was your daughter feel after few months in Malaysia? Is she able to make friends and learn local languages?
Try Sunshine bread from Singapore🎉
lemon is expensive here in Malaysia....Malaysian use limau kasturi...limau nipis etc as option for lemon for drinks...cooking even traditional healing....😁😁
Calamansi
The song that you got excited hearing is a local rap song title Senyum meaning smile. CLICK the link if you want to hear it again. kzhead.info/sun/dLWPlc6MfnuFZGg/bejne.htmlsi=w_ZvMZigHGb3DCQb
I really enjoy this channel.😊
woahhh…AEON Bandaraya 😂😂😂 my go to place everytime I back to my hometown at Melaka…hahahaha…
Watching you from China, really want to retire in Malaysia in couple of years. Every time I go back to Pakistan, go via Malaysia and enjoy a week there
Aeon has local beef that’s really good.
Sars you are payment fancy air conditioner shopping and high class groceries shopping for your confort.❤
That pecimmon is sweet and soft. Always run out. Love it.
My favorite hang-out place..I live at masjid tanah melaka..which is near Pengkalan Balak and Tanjung bidara...went I hang out with my friend we always go there all the time...
Tysm!!!! Really appreciate your videos, looks truly wonderful. Lamb here in the UK is almost £15 a kilo. The lemons for 6 that’s a reasonable price. I want to immigrate but have no idea on the how when what…. And Malaysia is top of my list. I have WhatsApped you on the number you gave but you haven’t replied as yet x
You should try black garlic, it’s sweet and caramel flavoured garlic, and not too smelly.
Nice video sharing
Thank you very much!
Pasar Tani Pasar Malam Putrajaya Presinct 3 5-10pm. It is close to Steel Mosque. There are also cheaper supermarkets eg Hero Supermarket,Lotus,Midas,Mydin Mall ,Giant depending on which state you are in. For wholesale like Costco (US) NSK Grocer.
Those expensive mandarins were produced in Japan, and yeah they're crazy expensive. Those are usually gifted to show status, hence the price. They have other fruits here like mangoes or musk melons that are expensive as well (in gift box form, of course)
sunglo greek yogurt 900grams bucket is my absolute favorite, healthy and cheap
🎉🎉🎉🎉yayyy im still herrrree😊😅
Pickled cabbage, put inside asam pedas.. Very nice
Thank you so much
Try going to the day market or farmers market you will get fresh meat. Lov yr vid.
Never go grocery shopping when you're fasting. You always end up buying so much you can't store it in the fridge.
Sis, you are going for imported fruits like blackberry, lemon (yeah). That is why they are expensive.
i just like how you talk 😅 straight forward british breaded young girl talk 😊
KL nowadays getting less hot ..seasonal cycle..i mean we feel better..more comfortable wth tegard to the trpical temperature..hope u too
nice country im watching all vidios
Right from the start of this video eyes caught the parking spaces, very considerably put which make life very easier
can you do videos like this one in cheaper stores . like in uk high end are waitrose etc and low cheap end are lidl aldi etc . with all prices comparison with uk please . your videos are brilliant 👌👌👌
Very new gourmet garlic
Jolly good
Aeon groceries prices always on the higher side. Lotus and other smaller supermarket are relatively cheaper
A good cameraman is normally a shy one. 😊
the fruit bars...are like fermented fruits..
Many foreigners said everything cheap here in malaysia but you're being the opposite finally 🤣🙏😅.. good to hear that. Imagine MYR400 is GBP400..
It same goes if we go to buy food in indonesia..everyone looking for beter life.if they go to Singapore everything is expensive.
5:43 "Negara Asal: Perancis" = "Origin country: France"
Pomelo was so big Saira could wear it like Watermelon Helmet Cat 😄 Hera's so helpful (lady was a bit rude tho'😒) CameraSon, thank you for zooming in on the labels!👍🏻 17:38 Ramly Burger spotted - Malaysians are gonna go nuts in the comment section 😂
Malaysia has our own meat industry but we don't cut our beef/meat like the western did. If you buy local meat in the local wet market, farmer's market or night market, they did not not cut like sirloin/tenderloin etc etc. The local cut is called "batang pinang" - tenderloin and other cut its just called daging pejal or daging no 1 or no 2. We Malaysian dont ask for sirloin in our local market
Can you please post some videos about the Malaysian school system. In shaa ALLAH I’m planning to move there. Bit worried about how the school differs from UK.
There are international schools all over and maybe once your children have acclimatize themselves they could study at the local schools
Too many International school in M'sia , British Education, Australia others many2,
Hi how do you start up there if you havent got the experiance you have
😊that is not that healthy.. coz its pickeld fruit fruit bar (sweetened) but got nice crunch we call jeruk and eaten as sweet snacks
