Also Roids give you tremendous muscle mass and unnatural adrenaline, if that isn't a cheap advantage idk what is. He doesn't take advantage of the other guys momentum, he's not slipping strikes and hitting them with strategic placement. If you're worried about a substance being tainted, then either take a different one, or don't take anything at all. When you take a supplement for whatever the reason may be, you ultimately run that risk of it being contaminated, but it's still the fighters/teams responsibility...

It does affect, as vaseline is absorbed immediately, and even tho you rub off your skin with a towel, the skin has absorbed some of it. Try it on yourself, feel your skin as it is, then apply vaseline and rub it off, then feel it again... I will be slipperier.

That maybe so but at least in regards to stoolgate it is a bit more complicated. It was not the corner that applied and failed to sufficiently wipe off the Vaseline but an official UFC cut man. Big John asked for the Vaseline to be wiped off, but the cut man was not still present. When actually asked to get out of his chair by Big John he obliged. There is also something to be said about the point Jade brings up. The strikes which caught Romero at the end of the round were illegal, because Kennedy was holding onto his glove. I think if Romero or his corner were truly at fault for him not getting off his stool at the end of the 60 second count, than the match could be called in his favour because he would have been tko by illegal strikes and therefore won by disqualification.

Your skin remains slipperier even if you rub it off with a towel. The skin absorbs some of it, try it on your own arm and see. When you are grappling, a little slipperier makes a huge difference.
The Romero thing wasn’t his own fault it’s because big john decided there was too much Vaseline in his cut nothing to do with him
The Romero incident appeared to be a mixture of a few things. Romero and his corner definitely looked to be stalling from the get-go. The extra vaseline on his eye just made the situation worse and allowed more recovery time for Romero once they had to be brought back in there
All Things MMA would’ve never been so hurt if Kennedy never grabbed his glove and beat his ass. He would’ve been just tired not tired and dazed
